

@Ubi-Deta As Microsoft has officially ended support for Windows 7, newer versions of Ubisoft Connect PC are not compatible with this operating system.
You may be able to use an older version of Ubisoft Connect PC that is already installed on your Windows 7 system, but you will not be able to install or update it to its latest version.
This should not prevent us accessing the games we purchased that are WIN7 compatible and were purchased whilst win7 was still receiving support, We win7 users should be able to use the products we bought If you no longer wish to support WIN7 on your Uplay client , then that should NOT IMPACT access or online play to the games we purchased years ago We don't even want to have to use UPLAY, but that is your problem because it was UBI's short-sightedness that insisted upon this
@moodswoods they DO work just fine on WIN7 as they did when released, It's not about the games we purchased , it's the UPRAY client that they have decided to drop WIN7 support for, And render your GAMES NON-accessible never mind playable online because they insisted on making the games rely upon their crappy uplay client because they have to launch via it , therefore they are in breach of contract maybe of consumer protection laws too
Only the symbol @ and digits for each Also the progress of the completed challenges this week is not displaying any progress This is incorrect , And whilst i'm here there is an issue that appears to have recently re occurred following some "MAINTENANCE" where when you are waiting far too long to create a session today that fails 1st attempt but it has been taking upto 1 minute to create a session when you go via the squad privacy option All these errors are screaming ubi wants us to cease playing this game because they don't want to support it any more, Well i won't be rushing to by any future title from this company
@Joseantime WINDOWS 7 is better that 10 is why and with common sense and a security suite from a 3rd party installed there is NO issues my rig has an uptime of 6mths That is How stable it is WIN 10 is full of bloat and also many major issues after the FORCED updates the end user no longer has a choice or control MY Machine MY choice not some corporations
A above started yesterday , worked fine up until then It logs in then times out whilst initializing , and then displays the connection lost message , i have seen other reports of the same issue , but there is NO info even acknowledging this from ubi, why not and WHEN will this be fixed ?

@uveso Well they figured out how to break the workaround posted earlier this year, that is for sure , why i have no clue, just like why they update the client just to add marketing guff
@Skrzymir iS THERE ANY WAY TO block or prevent the Ubi connect client from automatically updating it's self ? or prevent updates changing the files that cause this NONSENSE ? I don't really care about the overlay, I want to be able to play the games i purchased That were designed to run on win 7 /8/10 Ubi has no legal right to prevent customers from playing their games that are compatible with win 7 because they want to update their U PLAY CLIENT THAT THEY INSIST WE INSTALL UPDATES SHOULD BE CONTROLLABLE If ubi think they will make us move on to win 8 or 10 they will lose customers FOR EVER
@its11ajb Host the game on a independent server , Oh you can't ubi locked it to their UNRELIABLE Server system they relegate old games to it's up and down like a brides nighty
@K4sum1 There could be other differences too, such as the internet provider and their peering to Ubisoft Which may be a factor ,
@IIiIIIiIrIIiiI Yes working here also, was their servers rejecting or redirecting traffic from us hence the client timing out Lets hope it stays working

@TEJIEMACTEP quite Connect runs fine on win7 it's the connection or rejection of devices from ubi's side that is the issue all of a sudden, it's either deliberate violation of contract or unintentional caused by the ineptness when they performed MAINTENANCE on something else ,But support don't have much of a clue ,so can't offer support can they , state of this outfit has never improved
@BARRETTY93 It maybe they have banned users of Earlier o/s to win10 on their servers which is a breech of contract as when they sold the games they sold them as compatible with earlier o/s like win7 and 8.1 and therefore sold online access too via their UPLAY now connect app, I would be happy not having to use their Connect app to play the games i own online as they are no longer receiving any support so where is their problem?

@Chaurid the game still runs on WIN 7 as does wildlands , it is connectivity with the connect pos launcher that is preventing online play
@HagiosUA If you Wireshark , you see NO response from the UBI servers only a connection to the CDN's for i presume their STORE and ADs webcore connects to IP,104.18.13.73 And ec2-34-230-206-212.compute-1.amazonaws.com (34.230.206.212) Yesterday , today i see dmx.upc.ubisoft.com (216.98.50.146) as well,, but still no connection ?

@Desmond3s Because their games are not optimized for the PC user only console kiddies, its why this game doesn't use the extra read write speeds to load the game world each time you teleport or are killed in action, the loading time is evidence of this I would be buying any more sub optimal for the pc games from ubisoft especially when you cannot even access the online modes because their LAUNCHER won't or can't connect to their poxy servers , ALL ubi support ever do is try and blame your machine or internet connection , IT'S NEVER their fault!!!
