@darknessviking If you don't want to burn churches, don't play games about being a viking, darknessviking. That's pretty much the whole core activity of going a-viking.
Hey, so I like the game, but one thing I'm sorely missing is normal, one-handed swords. It seems like a strange thing to leave out when you've got niche stuff like flails in there, and also, all of the most famous and iconic Norse era weapons are swords. Ulfbehrt swords (which are from Germany, I realise, but they were a favourite among the Norse) come to mind. Norse didn't really use two-handers at all. It feels like Ubi're leaving out an important historical weapon in favour of ahistorical, sword and sorcery stuff.
I know putting a new weapon in with two-handed animations and skill tree stuff is a big ask, but it just seems like it should always have been there. I hope Ubi'll consider it.
This bug is still present, I am sorry to say, nearly two months after it was reported. Patience? Don't make me laugh. In a game with no manual save function, this is a game breaking bug. My save is destroyed. If a flagship title takes two months for a game-breaker to NOT be addressed, it's because Ubi don't think it's a priority. Not even enough to warn people!
Hi there, this seems to be the only way to get through to support atm.
I seem to have gotten two copies of the Galloglach armor torso, which I think must be a mistake. I don't really mind, except that it looks like there may be limited slots to "carry" armors in, and if that's the case, it may get in my way later in the game. Also might be a bug worth looking into for yourselves, I suppose. I'd like if you could delete one of the two copies, regardless, just for the sake of neatness. I don't know if you are able to do that.
Thanks.
@bytedotexe I think the faces and voices are an improvement on the last game, but I still don't think the characterisation is strong enough to have a favourite. I find them all fairly meh, including Eivor. I saw ads Ubi put out for writers and they wanted people with specific qualifications. That's how you hire programmers, not writers. Their writing game isn't strong enough that they feel confident being funny or anything like that. It's purely functional and monotone. You get the occasional sweary, violent bloke like that one Ragnarsson, but they're not good enough to make it really convincing. Too self-conscious and also probably working with too many people making decisions. Like, Ragnar Lothbrok was never usually called by that name until that dire TV show. His famous name is Ragnar Hairy Britches, but they're not good enough or comfortable enough with the writing to not be paranoid about that sounding uncool.
Hiya. I had a duplicate appear of the Galloglach armor earlier in the week, and I solved it by reloading an earlier save, eventually, but it happened again, and I figured out that it happens when I use the tattoo artist. Doesn't break the game or anything, but it's untidy and I suspect it's not meant to happen.
Just a heads-up. Thanks.
@max-mumford96 Yeah, sorry, I just noticed after I posted that there's already posts about this. Should have checked. It's crazy. Dual wield shields but no swords, like?

@raman1972 Just to add, I experimented a bit, and if I upgrade the Galloglach armor and then use the tat artist, it duplicates it and also downgrades the existing one I had back to original tier. That's not good.

@sileusta Ah yeah, I know they used Dane Axes, I meant two hander swords.

@ehllfhire1 I'm aware, but they don't have Romans building pyramids.
