@carvalhopt Yeah, it's such a shame. I feel bad for all the people that put all the effort into recording the sound, music and voices... just to have Ubisoft say dilligaf -_-
Safe to say this is never going to be fixed, Ubisoft? Kicked under the fridge like a dropped ice-cube?
@astrocat Sorry to say; even after 448 Replies and 15,889 views, there is still no update from Ubisoft.
Also noticed it right away. I was really excited for this, jumped straight in after setting up the new xbox and as soon as I was in the hall as young Eivor, I noticed it. I called the missis in and asked if she thought it sounded odd and she basically said, "it sounds like you're speakers are playing from a tin can". I went into the audio settings with the xbox and played with all the different audio options thinking maybe it was the console or speakers, and basically found the least terrible sounding was just plain old stereo and endured for now. I retested it later and noticed by diving into water over and over again with each different setting, the splash gave off a distinct (ear wrenching) different sound for each setting. Still ended up switching back to boring old stereo though.
Did you start to play Valhalla before the initial game updates were released?
What is your platform, and if on PC, what are your system specs? (CPU, GPU, RAM, etc.)
What is your audio set-up? Are you using a headset (wired or wireless?), a speaker system, a surround sound system, etc.?
What audio output is in use? 7.1, 5.1, Surround, Stereo?
A video demonstrating the issues you are experiencing.
@ubi-borealis this issue has just happened again to me as well.
I’d previously stopped bothering to even try upgrading the gear over and over due to the constant resets. But It’s so consistent now, I’ve now entirely given up using the gear entirely. Each time it occurs I lose ship, bird, mount and jomsviking cosmetics that had the pack in use.
This has been an issue (amongst many) since November last year and before ubi asks; I’m not going to provide videos and screenshots etc of the issue, this forum has more than enough info to get it sorted in a hot fix due several months ago.
It’d be nice to see more focus on bug fixes like this one rather than releasing extra content (like additional cats to trip over in Ravensthorpe).
@Ubi-Orion
My Yule festival will not load either, latest save is a cloud save.

Does this mean its actually being investigated?

100% agree with both these previous posts. Ubisoft have a really bad habit for doing this and as loyal fans (having spent thousands on this franchise alone), it almost feels like punishment for not checking in on their media platforms with every spare moment I have.
The same thing happened with AC Odyssey and the Ezio's outfit right as the pandemic took hold! To add fuel to the fire, it was a 48 hour window to entice new players with a free weekend. Naturally, people that had paid full price for the game and played it since launch thought nothing of it until [censored] was too late. It seriously makes me question their ethics and my loyalty...
They've done it again! Got to make sure to check Ubisoft's websites, forums, Connect launcher, Facebook and Twitter every single day. Actually make it twice a day! -_-
