Hi, this seems to be an issue that started with the latest update; after entering photo mode and then exiting it, the escape key doesn't do anything, and I'm unable to open the pause menu in the game. In addition, I know of several other people who are having the same issue.
@aznewsh Same here. Also, I’m unable to play while offline either. Not sure if this is intentional to require an online connection, or the game thinks I’m playing on a Free Weekend Trial which typically does require players to be online if they don’t own the full game.
I figured out another simple workaround, but only for PC players. If you quit the game, remove the dlc_35 folder (the one that contains the Forgotten Saga files) then after restarting the game the boss fight should work normally; once you've defeated Balor you can then safely restore the files.
EDIT: I wouldn't recommend doing this if you've started the Forgotten Saga, as it will revert the state of the building in Ravensthorpe, and then you won't be able to build it again or go back to Niflheim again.
I don't think I've had this happen since the last update; however, recently I've sometimes been having the opposite issue - namely, contracts I've already completed showing up again. It's not a major issue, as I'm still able to complete them again when this happens (albeit without getting any opals), but it would be nice if I didn't have to remember which ones I've already done.
@ubikobold I also have two videos of this from about 10 days ago. I posted them in the other thread as well, but I thought I'd link them here since you requested them. Also, this is on PC in a new private session.
Endless agro without Gogmagog:
Also, it used to have this placeholder description, but it seems to have been removed in one of the patches a few weeks ago.
(for some reason I got an error in parsing server response when I tried to upload the image as .jpeg, I fixed this by renaming it as .jpg)
Hi, I originally got the standard edition of the game in 2018, and I have several Uplay Activation DLC's in my Steam library. From what I've seen and heard, I have a hunch that some players who purchased the complete edition on Steam have one or more of these activations missing. For reference, this is what I have in my DLC library, and online game modes work normally for me.
Would it be possible to forward this information to the appropriate team, like whoever has the ability to manage the builds and releases of Ubisoft games on Steam? I have a feeling it might be possible to fix this issue by tweaking something in the Steam configuration settings for Watch Dogs so that anyone who buys the complete edition of the game gets the appropriate Uplay activations added to their account as DLC.
After playing through most of the DLC, I think I'd like to see a greater chance of weapon drops, as I had trouble finding weapons for some of my runs. In fact, when I got to the final boss I didn't have any weapons and I was unable to finish the DLC.
Edit: This seems to be a bug that was resolved, after I verified my game files I no longer have this issue.
In addition, it would be nice if co-op was added to the DLC. I think the rogue-lite style would be perfect for playing with a friend, and seeing as the campaign and the other 3 DLC's have it I'm guessing it wouldn't be too difficult for the devs to add it to the game.
@Ubi-Dastan I verified the game files, and I tried deleting the config file, but it's still happening.
I did notice something interesting though - if I have a PS4 controller connected, and I deactivate photo mode by holding the circle button on the controller, the pause menu still works with escape on keyboard. Only if I hold the backspace button on my keyboard to cancel photo mode does the bug occur and pause no longer works.

While trying to figure out the puzzle with the tall pillar that moves up and down in the new lava tomb, I placed an oil jar on the pillar and then sent it up. When I sent it back down, the jar didn't go back down with the pillar, but instead remained floating in the air. I observed this twice, one time the jar was standing up and the other time it was lying down.

Chest piece from Celtic armor set from Wrath of the druids dlc is missing its fur in the front. Will the bug get fixed? It's been half a year like this.
As a PC player who was not affected by the crashes, I nevertheless do have some feedback. It would be nice if the devs made a Sigrblot Festival pack available for everyone, or people who played during the festival period, on Ubisoft Connect. I remember one was offered for the Yule Festival last year, and aside from giving players who were unable to play a chance to claim rewards from it, it would also mean those who played the festival could keep the items upon starting a new game.
