@sunset_pig I'd suppose they must be working on a fix right now as it is a game-breaking issue in regards to progression thru the main story. Bugs like these at launch are part and parcel of gaming I have come to accept. I guess they can QA and QA looking for them ante launch but the only way they are going to be found in the long run is when we first game players trip them up and report them just post launch. I'd hasard a guess it might be patched in a few days or a few weeks given the current restrictive social and working climate
@sunset_pig I think we may have to wait for a patch
@medved_nbg This is a multi platform, multi generation AAA game. The engine is in it's third iteration yet this third proffering has come out at console launch as well as multi-platform launch. I had God of War and Ghost of Tsushima, both PS exclusives on launch. They were relatively bug free at launch and what peccadilloes they had at launch were patched almost immediately. I'm guessing here that given all of these ports of a game like this and its size and scope it must be a hell of alot of work to see its "final" completion version playable come launch day, especially in 2020 with a pandemic limiting how they can actually work, communicate, troubleshoot and problem-solve. It is interesting that come lauchday one buys the disc of any AAA game yet that very day there will be a patch, sometimes of tens of gb size. For myself I'm prepared to wait until this particular bug is debugged as long as it is done so I can continue my story. If on the other hand the only fix is to restart the game then I will be not so happy about this. Add to all of this time constraints developing the game in increments over years and expectations from many quarters that it be released in a timely manner then these factor into the equations in regards to why this must be happening. Remember Unity at launch? That was a shambles for many players (I had no issues with it luckily) but this shows that the problem is historical. Does it involve complacency on their part? Perhaps, though I believe the devs at Ubi only want to release a finely tuned product. This is their œuvre after all, their métier. I believe they have pride in what they put out. They are not going out to give us anything less on purpose. It is just the nature of the beast. There is far, far more that is positive about these games that negative. These are why we want their games on launch and will pay top dollar for them and why we might give them a little forbearance in being resigned to what might be buggy on launch. Or, we could be patient and wait a month or three and buy the game when it has a "smoother" runthru.
I'm getting this same issue with Reda this week too with the Berserker helm. I don't own it yet it is showing as ticked in the Reda store yet isn't in my helix store (on PS5).
@ubi-raziel
hullo Ubi, hullo all
My settlement is completed at level six yet the trophy is not unlocking at all. I've pretty much got everything else (except the fishes one which has been a long road to accomplish so far), but re the Home Sweet Home trophy I have a PS5 but I was playing the game on the PS4 version on that console too at times in the early days of console launch(cos I wanted to use my Hati wolf mount from the preorder code which at the time wasn't transferable to the complementary PS5 version of the game (he is now)).
I'd like to plat this game *before* the paid DLC (and their complementary trophies) come out as I will not be buying those two until they eventually sell for half price, which will be a while (I waited for the Odyssey ones to sale like this back in the day too).
Reading about this issue I suppose that it is an intra-platform issue playing this (or these) game/s on the same console. Please also note that on the PS5 xmb menu under the PS5 version of Valhalla regarding "Eivor's saga" only shows me being at 60% completion yet pressing the PS button brings up a more in-depth game info screen that shows me a 91% (I tried to image these but the PS5 screenshotter doesn't seem to image the xmb screens instead frustratingly imaging only the in-game contents behind them.
For your informations
Update 1.05 sometime later today should (the wording is oblique about this though) hopefully fix this bug everyone. I have been awaiting this.
Here's a paste of what has been announced for this patch:

Fixed the following issues.

@ubi-baron
Thank you you and bless you. I heard this might have entailed a restart which would have been enervating.

I bought my PS5 last week along with the AU/NZ LE PS4 disc version of Valhalla for my new console (as there is no PS5 version on disc here in eNZed). Your FAQs in your site say that cross same company platform content will be available yet even tho I entered my code (which confusingly turned out to be for the PS4 disc version of the game) my items do not appear on the PS5 version. I just want the Hati wolf mount really. I try to re-enter the code for the PS5 version in-game-store but it says it has already been redeemed. Is there a way to get this content to work on PS5? I tried mounting my wolf in the PS4 version, saved then crossed to the PS5 version. The wolf appeared under me there for a second upon entering the game then it disapeared leaving me proned on the ground. This Wolf-Kissed wants his wolfsteed. Please?
I didn't buy the PS4 version to play it, I bought it in order to get access to the PS5 version which leads me to my next point: Because I need the PS4 disc in my PS5 to verify I own the game I have to have two 43 gb+ copies of the game on my SSD. Everytime I try to delete the PS4 version upon entering the disc it starts auto updating it again to my drive. There is no way to disable this problem. I have raised this with Sony support (I think this is their issue really and not yours but I felt It needed raising herein).

I followed the dude until he ran into the garrison, then I went and died (I'm playing in very hard - mystake in this case). Once I respawned I could find neither hide nor hair of my target nor of any quest markers, despite the Leech being marked as a current quest in my... "quests" area. So, I farrowed a litter of squealing piglets in disgust and I've found this thread looking for a fix. I'm playing on PS5
