@sheeld Exactly same thing. The quest does not progress. Ubisoft, can you please advise (& please do say reinstall 50 GB of game)
Gosh.. I think i get the reason behind it, as some people have already speculated. If you guys have also bought the game on Epic store to save a few bucks, then it comes at a cost. This game has different release times for Ubisoft store purchase & epic store purchase. Epic store purchase goes live by 11 A.M. Eastern time (see on google what time it is in your country) & is not the same as Ubisoft Store release time (12.01 A.M. in your respective time Zone)
As soon as you try to search this on google, the first line that appears is
- If you're waiting on the Epic Games Store, the game won't be available until 11 a.m. Eastern"

I am too late with this post it seems...
@meneh happy to be of help brother.
@meneh i just realized, this most commonly happens if the in game settings are somehow not recognized as native settings of the monitor. Could it be that your monitor's apect ratio, refresh rate or resolution has been accidentally changed & does not match the same parameters of your monitor (it sometimes happens after a windows update or something that changes your monitor's default settings). See if you can see the word "Native" in front of your selections under these 3 settings in AC Valhalla. If you don't see the word native in front of any of these parameters, then that parameter is the issue source & is not aligned with your monitor's parameter value. If you align that part with monitor's native setting, it should work properly again, theoretically.
@xxwitcherxx2018 no they haven't yet. I started my game from scratch again and am making sure that whenever the game asks me to follow someone, i do so without going here and there until the purpose is over.
@xxwitcherxx2018 I hear of a patch 1.004 being released some 10 hrs ago (for xbox, ps4 & ps5) and hopefully will also be released in some time on pc. Hope this helps us with current problems.

@xxwitcherxx2018 That's a shame. Ubisoft.. are you listening please?
@bonzospb - Nope.. Try "Cyberpunk 2077". Its way.. way worse. They haven't even given the options of key remapping.. imagine..
Latest NVIDIA Driver (460.81) is optimized for "Cyberpunk 2077". I can't believe it.. not only that game is a problem on its own.. even the drivers optimized for this game are a problem for the player.. Hopefully next update for NVIDIA drivers patches this issue..

Hi Everyone.
If you are facing black bars problem for AC Games (Odyssey & Valhalla) & your game runs in a strip in-between your screen, then I might be able to bring a smile to your face. I came across a "Windowed-mode" optimizer which stretches the windowed mode ( the only mode that allows you to adjust your aspect ratio) to the monitor's border's edges & makes it look like fullscreen. This should work for any game that is giving black bars on the screen.
I have been facing this issue with AC Odyssey & had to play it in the strip mode entirely, which was an absolute nightmare experience for me. Origins did not have this issue, started from Odyssey & i have been trying to find a solution since then.
But when Valhalla had the same issue, i snapped & scoured the internet for any possible solution & when i tested in on my system, i thought of sharing with larger community ..
You can see my tutorial on YouYube with this workaround -
