Why should we have understanding in this matter?
Achievements have and always will be a big part of those games, it's a big part of console gaming as well.
I don't care if it is called achievements or challenges but why aren't the challenges the same as the achievements?
Why do you get rid of a feature for a dedicated plattform, when it's still on console?

@ubi-baron I'm sorry but this is just stupid. Why would you get rid of achievements? Why can't challenges be the same tasks like the achievements?
I mean there are even sites out there for achievement guides and achievement hunters, so it was and will be a big part of games like AC, why would you get rid of this feature for a dedicated plattform?

@xrayspex_73 Yeah I don't understand why they just can't add the achievements? You can still have your challenge system, and I actually appreciate the extra tasks, but it doesn't hurt anything to just add the achievements and keep both system.
Achievements are such an integral part of gaming culture, with dedicates sites, youtube channels and so on and I always look forward to it in AC games, because it's part of the fun to get everything, to have extra tasks for long term motivation. I mean I don't have to explain this to anyone, that's how achievements work for over a decade.
Now you won't even really know ingame if you have collected everything, there isn't a list to keep track, nothing. I always considered achievements to be pretty essential for AC (and they are still there, just not on PC!)

@aliendx98 agreed, that would solve the problem. I don't even understand the reasoning behind this, like: "Oh achievements have been a thing for over a decade, let's continue them on consoles, but let's give PC gamers a dumbed-down list of stuff to do and don't add the achievements"

@xrayspex_73 I'm so glad I'm on Ubisoft+, because I will just cancel. Maybe some day I will get this game for a few bucks on PS5, at least they will have achievements.

We have no idea when it's coming. Does it take another week? Is it a thing that needs months to be fixed?

Any updates on this? Would be great, if it would be fixed before the weekend.

@inmateofarkham But even Epic has achievements now, so that can't be their reasoning.

@lockmort Funny enough, when I transfered my savegame from PC to PS5 my achievements didn't pop.
But when I killed my first enemy in the game, 2 completely random late game sidequest achievements popped.
What a huge disaster this whole thing is...

I don't think we will see any change on this. Ubisoft doesn't even recognize the problem. Its truly ridiculous.
