I attempted to steal the item, and had the child distract Maximilian - however, there was no key to unlock the door. Left the area and returned to use charisma and get the statue, but he's just gone. I have returned several times over a few hours, and he has not yet re-appeared.

I'm assuming this has to do with the well talked about dual swap bug that sometimes triggers torch forcing you to drop the weapon and can no longer pick it up, but I've lost 3 weapons now (hammer, axe, and varin's axe) - all at max upgrades. I have to go back to five hours of play to a manual save to find them, because the autosaves were all overwritten, yet it's STILL not even in the Known Issues list. What gives?

I should also note that I spent a lot of time trying to get creative - including dropping from the roof and trying to shoot through the door hole (after about 30 minutes of this I realized the arrow wasn't actually going through the hole on the door, no matter from which direction). And blowing the back door hoping that maybe it'll bug and break the brace preventing it from opening.

@willowisp830 Yeah, after paying kid the key wasn't there. And I, too, had to raise charisma

Should also note that when the kid distracted Maximilian, they both got on my horse.... and stayed there... until I killed a guard and then Maximilian ran away into the stables and subsequently poofed into thin air.

I am in the same boat as you - although not as frequent. The game did not crash on me at all up until playing with 1.0.4, only a few bugs (sidequest from a dude in Ravensthorpe got bugged out, dual swap/weapon drop bug, and then fighting Fenrir, when he threw me in the air I teleported high in the sky across Asgard and was endlessly falling up there for a good 5 minutes while I smoked before I alt-F4'd and restarted the fight). Now, seems like the bugs that plagued everyone else are starting to hit me. Guess they wanted everyone to feel the pain.

@garranger I don't see how they would do this. I ended up loading a save from 3 hours previous and retrieved all of them, which wasn't so bad - I lost some of the map exploration but I did find some things I would have missed before. I'm at 47 hours now, was 23 when I noticed it happened. Still only 32% progress, though, due to being very thorough
