

I am also having this issue. Oddly, the game ran fine last night and early this morning - the "game stops on splash screen" thing just started around 10-11am today. I talked to Ubi support and opened a ticket, but it seems like we're in the minority here.
This really sucks. I got the game all set up, benchmarked and tuned for my play session, went to start around 11 this morning and ended up with this. I reinstalled everything to the C:\ drive with no avail. I subscribed to Ubisoft+ based on this game and I'm really let down at this point.
@dalver I had the exact same issue. Last night the game launched fine, I did some benchmarks and tuned my settings. When I went to play around 11am this morning the game just took a dive and I've been on the splash screen train ever since. I'm wondering if they did a hotfix or a small patch that's causing the issue? I had no issues last night.
@narot23 EDIT AND NOTE: I was able to resolve the issue by reverting to NVIDIA Driver 457.09... I'm not sure why but the "Game Ready" driver was causing the issue on my PC.

@ubi-spud I was able to resolve the issue by reverting to the previous NVIDIA driver (457.09). The new "Game Ready" driver was causing my Spash Screen lockup.
@crazydonkey88 Simply go to NVIDIA's website, download the prior driver (it will show on the list), then run the installer, select Custom Installation, tick Clean Installation, and you should be good to go. One caveat, it will remove any custom settings you've made in NVIDIA Control Panel or GeForce Experience.
POTENTIAL FIX: I downgraded my drivers to 457.09 (previous version) and I can run the game now!
I think it may be on NVIDIA's end; the "Game Ready" drivers sure did a number with my system.457.30 performs better on a lot of my games but 457.09 is stable with AC Valhalla and that's what I plan to play for a while.
So frustrating. My game was working Wednesday night, then Thursday morning this crap started happening. I'm livid, there better be a patch soon.
