I have the same problem. Tried everything

1. Reinstall uconnect
2. Reinstall game
3. Switch from SSD to HDD

Doesn't work. Still stuck at the wallpaper gif emblem when trying to launch.

HOWEVER - this problem did not exist for me at 9am CET. I played the game for a couple of hours but now some patch or something went out between then and 2pm CET (I saw it update something) and now it hangs.

It's some relief that I see it's a widespread issue but frustrating for everyone suffering from it.

I got a response after submitting my ticket. They told me to run the game in administrator mode and disable non-ms system services and start up items. That didn't work (ofcourse). I have asked for a refund. I've had enough.

There doesn't seem to be any consistency with the solutions that people are offering here, alas. I don't want to uninstall Blizzard launcher because I need it for other games that actually work. Still no response from Ubisoft about this error after almost two weeks. Incredible.

@martin_wilbrink The unwillingness to offer refunds for those who commit their money early is outrageous. I submitted a ticket for this problem and nothing is working. I will be fighting tooth and nail for a refund.
