The article mentioned by Kean was on PC Gamer, from today. With a title of "Ubisoft VP says players 'don't get' NFTs , but can't explain what there is to get."
Just about sums it up nicely, as did Kean's last sentence.
If Ubisoft isn't willing to change the way they operate after all the years of direct (and unfiltered) feedback, it's all really a moot point, imo.
As mentioned, that a community-involved program (granted with its flaws as to how it was originally setup, etc) is being axed, versus re-vamped, should make us all suspicious for what the future holds.
BTW, no announcement of any kind in the appropriate forum either.
My bottom-line - Ubisoft is a company which continues to have many, many internal issues. This news simply re-confirms it for me.
So, when does the company plan on announcing this major issue affecting the community and what's being done to resolve whatever is the latest issue?
For This Friday I'll just echo the comments/experiences of others - no on-line service for GRW.
Pathetic Ubisoft, simply pathetic.
We've all been there I'm sure. You land a helo in the open, safely, no other nearby object not already placed. Go off a bit of distance to do some in-game business, but not far enough for de-spawning to take place; return, and behold:
Some meaningless and useless in-game object has been dumped at the same location based on some unknown coding algorithm.
This results in:
when attempting to launch - in the vain hope that those blades aren't really going to collide with that object which wasn't there upon landing.
Again, thanks Ubisoft, nice work ...
However promotions should be opening up ...
We can only hope Ubisoft takes notice...
@kean_1 --
IMO it's indeed currently a sad state of affairs, especially for the franchise as well as this "official" forum.
@bigrexxx - "There's already a new game being developed, and it could be revealed as early as this summer."
When did Ubisoft make that announcement?
Folks are posting gaming-industry rumors/leaks on the subject AFAIK.
The current system does not have any effect on how many bullets it takes to kill NPCs ...
As to not seeing/feeling any difference - based on my experiences strongly disagree - especially if I forget to switch from one type of weapon to another for a specific mission.
"We should have night vision gear for this sh!t!"
Just putting out for others to view if interested a video by @GmoneyMozart on the subject of what a more immersive weapon mastery system in Ghost Recon could/should look like.
Welcome to a just about dead forum ...
Off the top - it's not a known bug/glitch.
Assuming you're fairly new to the game - did you know there was a 200-meter range limit to using the sync shot drones? If aware, and you're having this issue, I can only suggest:
double-check in settings that there's no issue with your key bindings
reverify the game files in Connect
Once again Ubisoft - approx. 18:50 hours, PDT on Sunday 19 March 2023, got the dreaded "Welcome Ghosts" prompt for a new game start when simply attempting to switch from one saved slot, to another.
The question continues to be: Ubisoft, what is the major malfunction here??
Keep in mind the following was from Feb. 2021, when Ubisoft hadn't officially cancelled all support for the game; the effort it took even then when there are issues with the servers:
If there's actually going to be another Ghost Recon game, I hope that they aren't considering any type of bow. Pure stealth builds imo actually don't belong in a Ghost Recon titled game - it belongs, again imo, in a game titled Splinter Cell.
It makes no difference whether any of the various non-campaign story missions are penned or not; assets/items will be placed in the world when you reach within a given distance of where the mission will take place.
Generally speaking, explosions heard appear to be the audio clue that an asset/item has been placed in the game-world. Especially if you happen to be located in a region that has daily faction missions.
OTOH, if the Resistance mode has been activated, well those explosions as expected are just the result of NPCs engaging each other as they spawn.
In addition if NPC vehicles can't get past each other, then as they continue to collide, they will eventually. explode.
The slot number has no bearing.
The forum system is having issues. Settings have been re-set as one example, as well as no longer able to upload in-game screen shots (that had been uploaded previously, for example).
Ubisoft proves again that's "two steps backwards".
