The game in unplayable . Randomly closed to desktop without any warning. My spec is i7 8700K and RTX 3080 16 gb ddr4 3200Mhz
i tried this and nothing helps:

• checking game files
• newest nvidia drivers
• windows 10 is updated to the newest
• internet connection 1 Gbps
• sync time in windows
• gpu and cpu about 50 and 60 degrees C - its fine
• only this game is constantly crashing on my pc other games working well
• manage paging file size wont work

Anyone know why this damn game is automatically closing withour error ?
Any patches coming to fix this thing ?

I dawnclocked the graphic card from 1980 MHz to 1800 Mhz and tried many different driver versions from 457.30 to 460.89 and nothing help . The game crashed still randomly with nvlddmkm not responding.
Sometimes the game crashed without any error - Just close to desktop and thats all.
I tried play in offline mode tried sync time in windows, reinstalling uplay/game/windows updating everything and nothing helps.

If this is a game problem the game need patch. If its a nvidia driver problem ubisoft should tell nvidia about it and cooperate to fix this problem.
Its not a cheap game and now is unplayable because of constant crashing. I dont care its game / nvidia / or denuvo problem . We buy the game and we should play without visiting a forum. Now its impossible.

461.09 now and 460.89 before.
There is no visible error. Just desktop crash. Event viewer shows "nvlddmkm not responding".
My card is gigabyte rtx 3080 vision

The problem is that valhalla crashing randomly sometimes 5 minutes and sometimes 2 hours.
Trying playing offline helping a little.

To be sure i testem the whole pc by benchmarks tests for hours.

Prime 95, OCCT, Furmark, Memtest,
Then
I testet it again with to be sure that the whole pc is at full load in one time.
So i run:
Furmark (gpu torture test)
Prime 95 (CPU /ram and ram controller test)
99%gpu usage / 100% cpu usage/ 95% ram usage. Run for 1 hours without any problems.
Then
I try increase gpu core clock to be sure that is not a gpu problem.
Msi after burner and +70 MHz and again furmark plus prime 95 (cpu, gpu, ram)
24 hours test passed without any problems.

Trying valhalla after that- 10 minutes and crash.
Its not possible that the issues are hardware problems.
Valhalla is not hardware heavy.
In game 61 degrees on gpu and 55 on cpu.
In game gpu core stay at 1980 MHz.
In gpu torture test with oc gpu stay at 2030 without any problems with higher temp then valhalla - 68 degrees.

I dont know what is wrong with with this game.

@longjohn119 i'm playing on 2k 240 hz monitor without problems and finish the game.
The only thing that i do is disable g sync in monitor.

What helped me?
1. Uninstall completely msi afterburner and nvidia tuner.
2. Uninstall evga precision

3. Go into windows safe mode.and use DDU. (display driver uninstaller). Try to choose nvidia gpu select clean and restart.

Before reebot disconnect completely from internet. (sometimes windows 10 automatically install drivers if u have an internet connection).

After ddu finish job and restarted u need to install newest nvidia drivers offline (u need to download them before and keep on hard drive).
After installing drivers restart pc and then connect to the internet.

Its important to use ddu only on safe mode and do things only in offline.

It helps me. Remember do clean driver install and do not install any fps showing software lole msi after burner and evga precision. (if u have them installed and just not runnning it not help).
4. After all of this try in windows cmd type sfc /scannow
It scan any corrupted files.
5.remember to have two separate cables connected to the gpu. One cable with two 8 pins could not be enought for top cards. Always use one cable for every 8 pin.

@k4n3_93 btw u should check ur ram at full pc load.
Why? Because its possible that when ur GPU and CPU draw a lot power u have voltage drops in RAM and that can cause problems.

U need to start furmark gpu torture test and then with the same time prime 95 memory test or occt memory test.

Its possible that the game crashes for you at full load because of voltage dropping on ddr4 ram and become unstable. Thats why single tests like just Memtest its good only if ram is broken but not if u have volrage drops what shows only when alk components are at heavy load

Crash every few minutes nvlddmkm not responding on RTX 3080. Only Valhalla crashes.
Trying to play offline helps but not solve the problem completely.

Playing offline help me a lot after 15 hours no crash. It looks like is a denuvo problem or something releated to online features.

I think offline mode will not solve the problem for 100% but its something.

Btw when playing offline i got 3 moore skills in the tree. Wyen i switch to onlone the 3 nodes are dissapeared. Strange

@ubi-orion we are all waiting to solve this / plz add the problem to fix wish list into next patch.

1.changing ubisoft launcher to offline mode helps a lot . Errors are less frequent but still exists. Twice less
2.The game have big problem with minimize it (alt+tab) when i play the game a try to look at discord or anything in windows it crashes moore often.

Someone should add this problem to next upcoming patch wishes.

BTW my friend finish the game with gtx 1080 and had many critical crashes only with AC Valhalla (crashes that force PC to shuddown and start again ).

This game really need a lot of fixes. I dont care who is guilty nvidia or ubisoft. I expect a patch that solve our problem or new driver.

i'm angry because no one from ubisoft answer here. It looks like they dont care and players should fix this for themselfs .... funny
