@artschi-hun at this point we've been waiting for more than a month, without any information regarding when this bug (which is quite big and important) will be patched.
New patch will drop tomorrow. Reading the patch notes (Assassin's Creed Valhalla - Title Update 1.3.1 | Ubisoft Forums) the issue with Mastery Challenges WON'T be solved yet. It has been 3 months since the bug was first reported. Still, no update on when we'll get it fixed (is this issue ever going to be patched?)
Curious to note that, according to their Update Pipeline post (News - Ubisoft Connect) an issue like this one (that prevents the player from playing a whole series of activities) should have an high priority:
At this point, I wonder why I keep waiting for a patch that nobody knows when (if?) it will arrive. This issue is not even listed in the "Known Issues" (which I know that doesn't include all the problems that are under investigations, but again - this one should be a top priority one according to Ubisoft's own post).
I'll just pretend that those Mastery Challenges never existed
(Still, no words on if the weapon that was given for the ones that played the mode will be available to the ones that weren't able to play it.)
(I'm playing on PS4 Pro)
Yesterday's update added the new Mastery Challenge to my game, but I'm not able to start them.
I reached Ravensthorpe, I saw the meteor's cutscene, talked with the misterious old woman and built her new building. After that, I tried to interact with her, which triggered a new dialogue in where she says that she needs to fight with Eivor.
At that point, after that Eivor gets knocked out by her (during the cutscene), the quest stops: the quest log says that I need to "progress with the main storyline", which I already finished months ago. I tried to reload a previous save, but nothing changes: the lady stands next to the statue outside her house, and I can't interact with her.
What should I do?

It's happening! It's happening, finally!
@majorsalty I really hope that they'll make it available for everyone after this bug!!!
@shirker-man I hope that they'll find a way to give it to us too...after all, it's not our fault if the Challenges aren't playable
️
So apparently the bug won't be fixed with tomorrow's patch. I'm speachless, higly disappointed!

Guess which bug won't be fixed with the next patch?
What's funny is that they are apparently already planning a "Mastery Challenges - part 2" for the next weeks/months, while the first ones are still not accessible to a lot of players! What a joke.

15 June → 11 November.
No fix for the bug yet.
@neacroe last week marked 6 months since the Mastery Challenges were released, and since this bug has been reported. Still, no patch or fix for this HUGE bug.
I'll quote what I wrote back in september:
Curious to note that, according to their Update Pipeline post (News - Ubisoft Connect) an issue like this one (that prevents the player from playing a whole series of activities) should have an high priority:
Flagged issues are categorized and prioritized based on frequency, severity, and/or player impact. (E.g. Main quest progression blockers will generally see a higher priority than side content or quality of life issues)
At this point, I wonder why I keep waiting for a patch that nobody knows when (if?) it will arrive. I'm part of the Mentors Guild program, and I've shared the existence of this issue both in the Guild channels and on the Reddit "Tech-support" threads.
I can't even saying that I'm disappointed and frustrated by this issue, after all this time (6 months!) I don't care anymore about this whole Mastery Challenges stuff...
AC Valhalla Title Update 1.6.1 – Release Notes (ubisoft.com)
Guess which bug won't (again) be fixed in the coming patch?
June 2021 > September 2022.
I doubt it will ever be fixed. The support will hopefully end by the end of the year so we won't to have to play ever again this terrible messy game.

One year later, this bug still doesn't have a fix.
Let's see when (if?) they'll be able to solve this (huge) issue.
Patch installed. But, again, the problem with the Mastery Challenges (which was supposed to be solved with one of the lastest patches) is still going on, and I can't access them. And I can't even play the "Second Part", of course.
Even if I don't care at all about this mode at this point, it's higly disappointing the fact that they introduced a new mode (almost one year ago? Last July) which is bugged and not accessible for some players.
I will never buy an Ubisoft game at D1 again, never.
Really curious to see if today's patch - which will add MORE Challenges - will solve the original bug for the ones that still have it (including me). And, of course, if at least the "second part" will be available for everyone or if it will be bugged too!

@azullfr that's funny because I was just reading a report regarding this situation.
"One developer recently said a colleague currently at Ubisoft contacted them to solve an issue with a game, because no one was still there who knew the system."
