(I can play RDR2 Ultra and is amazing) - GTX 1660Ti 6GB
I call BS ...... No way can you do ultra with a measly 1660Ti ........ I know because I had one and upgraded to a RX 5700 and still couldn't pull it off ......
@snakeeater49910
Well I'm 61 and I can remember back when you bought a product it actually worked as advertised ..... I'm an EE and if my work was this shoddy I'd be sued out of existence in no time at all ..... Software needs to be held to the same standards as hardware is and until it is things are only going to get worse and worse as I predicted 15 years ago when people started repeating the falsehood that "all software/games are buggy at release and we shouldn't expect them not to be"
We need to hold their feet to the fire otherwise they have ZERO incentive to do better ...... I predicted this over 15 years ago ..... The younger generations are too forgiving and that's how we got here ... If you and they had put your foot down 15 years ago things wouldn't be this bad today with nearly every single new release broken and buggy as a New York City crack house
@longliverng Well it really should since they both use the exact same game engine .....
Ubisoft needs to ask themselves this simple question .... What is the main difference between Odyssey and Valhalla?
Answer is simple, Odyssey uses DX11 like every AC game since Unity and Valhalla uses DX12
From this a seasoned troubleshooter can deduce that the problem is most likely a bad implementation of the DX12 APIs ..... That's where they need to start digging into the code
The reasoning behind these questions they are asking is to try to find a commonality between the systems that are having problem but the commonality is staring them straight in the eye but they are too myopic to see it .... That commonality is DX12 ... Not Intel CPUs or AMD CPUs or AMD GPUs or Nvidia GPUs or certain motherboards or certain DDR4 RAM .... It happens across the board on all system types from the minimum requirements setups to the best setups you can buy today
It is NOT a hardware problem, the problem is in THEIR code
All the archery challenge did is point out how utterly broken the Aim Assist and bows are in general .....
This is how bows should work ... Same studio, same game engine, same lead developer
It doesn't seem to do anything at all and I've tried it in all 4 modes Partial, Full, Light and Off ...... There is absolutely zero difference and you waste most of your arrows for nothing and you can't even craft more .....
Odyssey did it way better ..... Switching bows is clunky as hell, you have no way of knowing how many arrows you actually have unless you equip the bow and pull the right trigger and after 18 1/2 hours of gameplay I still haven't gotten any cloth for upgrade nor even a hint of how and where to find it .....
Other problems I've had was trying to take down a monastery on my own and of course running out of arrow in a matter of a couple of minutes because you can't lock on to anything making it almost impossible to hit anything moving I had to blow my horn 6 damn times before I could get any assistance, 5 times after I had killed everyone with the help of prisoners I released .... My guys were no where in sight and I wasted a lot of time because you can't loot anything without assistance and the prisoners you free just run off and are no help .... the ungrateful bastards ...... I kept having to blow the horn until they finally showed up .....
Ubisoft Quartz’s Ghost Recon NFTs Appear To Have Made Just $400 Total
Well, everyone sure did not seem to be on board with Ubisoft Quartz and its blockchain-based NFTs for Ghost Recon Breakpoint, a series of limited edition cosmetics that could be claimed in the game. But at least for now, it appears that it isn’t just gamers who don’t really care about them, it’s NFT collectors as well.
As pointed out by Apex Legends Senior Character Artist Liz Edwards on Twitter, the entire market for resold Ghost Recon Breakpoint NFTs appears to be just…$400 total.

@tosk406 I believe the first reports came in shortly after the 3rd part of Fate of Atlantis dropped ..... One way I've worked around the problem is I only use swords for melee and only use my secondary weapon for it's engravings. That means the engravings for spears, heavy blunts, staffs, heavy blades, and daggers don't show up .... Not really sure if that will give me enough "breathing room" to add 6 more engravings from the new DLC to the list
Another way to work around it, but it only works with a new game, is to not import any armor sets you aren't going to use from the store because each one adds another Legendary Engraving .... Ditto for every weapon or bow from the store
Of course the proper solution is to simply recode that part of the game so instead of being limited to two digits (0-99) you increase it to 3 digits (0-999)
@yesin069 I played both Origins and Odyssey with a sword as my melee weapon and used the secondary melee weapon for it's engraving boosts only .... About the only time I ever used anything other that a sword for melee was the occasional weekly ori quests where they wanted you to kill 'x' number of solder with a spear or heavy blunt .... In Origins I got the Deluxe version and pretty much used the poisoned sword that came with it through the entire game and it also had a poisoned heavy blunt which I like to use on the Phylakes by ambushing them from behind and whacking them with it to start out, ride past turn and shoot a few arrows at them to stun them and then whack them again with it ..... I only used a shield against a couple of the bosses where it was a necessity ..... A good sword and a good bow and I'm set
@GeneralAkAbA First person is especially stupid when you have a character creator and a bunch of outfits that you can't even see ..... That was one of my biggest gripes with Cyberpunk, why should I care about what I look like when I never see myself anyway? Why should I plunk down 5 or 10 bucks for a uniform I'll never see? Plus all uniforms will be purely cosmetic since there is no human combat in the game. Naval combat in Black Flag is really only a small portion of the game. There is exploration, an actual story, assassin contracts, Templar Hunts, hunting and crafting, whaling, treasure maps and underwater dives for loot and ship upgrades. Sure the naval combat is fun but if that is all you are doing it gets boring in just a few days.
@t7pdm This has been a known issue for well over a year now, probably almost 2 years (Since the Fate of Atlantis release) .... The engravings list only holds 100 items (0-99) and when the limit is exceeded something gets pushed off the list and the first to go is +30% armor penetration ...... People that have already exceeded the limit before this new DLC will end up losing 7 more engravings
Adding more engravings without expanding the list was an obvious oversight and likely will never get fixed
@DeeaPurple It's a Nvidia driver problem and not a problem with the game. Either downgrade the driver or wait until the April drivers come out and hope Nvidia fixes the problem
@Rony-0092 I played on a 3070 Ti @1440p and also was running a reshade (Purity of Egypt) I think it was 516.94
Playlist for the main story
@TreyGuidos You have to use a PC to create stories anyway so just buy the PC version of Odyssey which is only $15 dollars right now .... You may be able to find it even cheaper somewhere else like Green Man Gaming or Steam
@valderazgriz Sure they are going to fix it but they aren't going to release an "out of band" patch for just one game that far less than 1% of their user base is playing, they'll fix it in the next scheduled driver update next month
@valderazgriz Do you really expect Nvidia to go to all the trouble to release a special patch for a game that is over 5 years old? Just roll back your drivers to January or December and it will work fine again
@Tull-clancey There are a couple of tips I can give you that may help .... It's very important to chase down Cultists as they become available so you can upgrade your spear which boosts your powers in several ways .... For instance I can upgrade my spear twice before I even get to Athens and again before I leave Athens after the Symposium.
Another tip is how the armor and weapons system works. You need to pick what your main play style is, Warrior, Hunter or assassin and then make sure all your armor and weapons pieces have that as the top engraving. If you are using mainly melee weapons then you want all your weapons and armor to have the warrior engraving at the top, if you mainly use a bow like I do then you want the hunter engraving at the top of all your armor and weapons
I also have a couple of play lists on my YouTube channel and just looking at the titles you can see the path I take through the game which is the most efficient way to get as many Cultists as quickly as possible to get my spear level up
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkdqp16ufvSmNh-rghHLyvuedc0NIWM0e This one is the better of the two because in the description I give a timestamp for all Ostraka clues and solutions, all cultist kills and all mercenary kills. I also try to include cultist kills in the title of each episode if I kill one during it
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkdqp16ufvSns8cbio9i9EOlBdAiuhN5t This is an older one with Alexios
Here are all my playlists several of which have Odyssey tips and content you may find helpful
@Blinzler_2212 Try verifying your game files in the Connect App .... Sounds like one of the forge files may be busted
@pesto That's the main reason I play on PC not because it's a superior platform (It often times is not unless you are willing to spend a lot more money) but because I can mod games which I have been doing since the late 1990's. I've never even played Skyrim or Witcher 3 without mods
@valderazgriz It's in the release notes of their latest drivers
Assassin’s Creed Origins stability issues using 531.18 [4008770]
So they are looking into it but it probably won't be fixed until next month. In the mean time just roll back the drivers. Unless you have a new game that absolutely needs the latest drivers then there was really no need to upgrade.
@DatBoi404 In the release notes of the latest Nvidia driver ( 531.29 ) it notes in their Open Issues section
Assassin’s Creed Origins stability issues using 531.18 [4008770]
So they are aware of the problem and if you aren't playing a just released game then there is really no need for the latest drivers and the older ones are just fine. The problem with upgrading drivers every month is eventually you are going to end up breaking an older game because they don't test new drivers with games older than a couple of years because it's just not practical. I remember back in summer 2021 first Nvidia released new drivers that broke Odyssey and then the very next month AMD released new drivers that broke Odyssey. In both cases they fixed the problem in the next driver release
