@formulahawk I’ve noticed the same issue. Doesn’t matter where you’re fishing or what bow you use. There’s a high chance after killing any big fish for it to fall through the map, losing the chance to loot. A good way to tell it fell through the map is by watching the floating damage indicator over it’s head. The number will follow the fish *dropping* through the map.

Regardless of location, shooting “big” fish with any bow has a chance for it to fall through the map, losing the chance to loot.
No problems with loot when fishing with the fishing rod or meleeing.
