Nobody, I think, expects that a game company will run multiplayer servers indefinitely. However, when a company sells you single player DLC and then takes it from you - deleting season pass content from your account, downgrading deluxe editions to standard editions, removing access to single player DLC? That's just theft. Why would you think I would buy any new games from you when you steal purchases I've made in the past?
If you wanted to remove online components, you could have added the DLC into the standard version of the main game and removed the need to do the DRM check in with servers. But instead you just decided to steal from your customers.
This is one of three Uplay accounts I have. I've bought some of Ubisoft's games multiple times to play them on different systems. I've been a subscriber to Ubisoft plus for extended periods.
You can say that it's so you can allocate resources to new games but that's no good to me because as long as this is your policy I'll never see those new games. I will never buy another game from Ubisoft as long as I know that it's Ubisoft policy to steal purchases from their customers. It's sad how far Ubisoft has fallen - but unless they restore what I've paid for, I'm done with them as a company.
