According to a recent blog by Valve, BattlEye support for Proton, a compatibility layer to play Windows games on Linux, can be enabled by reaching out to BattlEye and they can enable Proton support from their end without any involvement from the developers.

If it's this easy from the developer's perspective to enable this feature, what are you waiting for Ubi? Please call them up.
Edit: Hopefully High Caliber (next season) will add on Proton support, am not very confident in this though
@koen523 Since Vulkan support was added awhile ago, anticheat was quite possibly the only thing stopping them from porting Siege to Linux. Now that opportunity is here and is EZ PZ to implement, the only thing stopping it is sending an email.
With that said, I'm still going to wait for tomorrow's season reveal.
@donald_j_trump I was fully aware of those efforts basically since the Steam Deck was announced, I just had unfortunate timing with this one. It's also opt in, so we still have to ask Ubi to enable it. @Ubi-Milky or another rep please pass this on to the team thx.
After witnessing quite a bit more than a few people reporting issues with skybox artifacting and jitter issues, while my system was generally immune from such occurrences, I took it upon myself to get to the bottom of why this is as much as a single person could. My lead? A hotfix patch by Nvidia for Modern Warfare 2 that fixes skybox artifacting and a hunch. That's it.
R6 Fix bugs out with an internal error when I try to log in, hence my report here instead of the right place to post this.
System:
Windows 11 Pro 22H2
Intel i5 11400h
24GB RAM
GeForce RTX 3060 mobile
Settings:
https://pastebin.com/LBQwWRh2: (https://pastebin.com/LBQwWRh2)
Methodology:
For the benefit of the doubt, I've also done it without rebooting, hot, cold, and of course with rebooting. All else between runs remains equal.
516.94:
DX11: Nothing to report
Vulkan: Same as above
517.48:
DX11: Nothing out of the ordinary to report
Vulkan: Maybe some graphical glitches in menus and stuff? Maybe could've been a fluke since I only saw it once.
522.25
DX11: Inconsistent frames? Fluctuations of 40 FPS was observed
Vulkan: Jitter? (no note on consistency)
526.47:
DX11: Skybox and general artifacting observed. Consistent and repeatable. Frame time inconsistencies continued to be observed
Vulkan: more inconsistent frames? (no further notes on how repeatable)
526.61:
DX11: artifacting continued to be observed, as does frame time issues
Vulkan: not done due to waning interest
Conclusion: New Nvidia drivers are causing artifacting within the game, and an announcement should be made regarding these issues, while also pressuring Nvidia to fix them.
For individual users, a way to fix this can be to use DDU from www.guru3d.com: (https://guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html) while following their README file and reinstalling the driver I know is good from: https://www.nvidia.com/content/DriverDownloads/confirmation.php?url=/Windows/516.94/516.94-desktop-win10-win11-64bit-international-dch-whql.exe&lang=us&type=TITAN.
Results may vary by doing this, please attempt at your own risk. Note that you should download the driver exe before following their directions. Safe mode can be entered by holding shift while rebooting.
If you don't have an Nvidia card (or even if you do) and are still experiencing these, please leave a comment below on your system/dxdiag and what you've tried to remedy the issue. And someone, please turn this into a formal report since r6 fix is broken for me.
@d1pper11d1p If you noticed the bullethole change, you are the reason why it got removed. End of story.
@synonymousshere Roni is already ridiculously strong without the 1.5x, to the point that I'm an advocate for it's removal from Mozzie AND a general Roni nerf.
Title. I have $100 in my Steam wallet and want to buy the Year 7 Premium Pass. However, it still hasn't shown up on Steam despite all of the other year passes also showing up on Steam in the past. Please either add it or confirm its going to get added.
EDIT: It was added to Steam, but there's a teensy conflict where you get banned if you actually check out via Steam.
@biloslava How is that going to help? It's pretty much Putin's war with zero grassroots support.
Even though I am fully aware of cross progression coming in early 2022 and basically every piece of developer statement or snippet of information out there, there is still one burning question I've had in my mind since it was revealed: is cross progression going to merge the inventories of each platform or is one platform's inventory going to replace all of the others? Throughout all pieces of information I've gathered, this question is never directly nor indirectly addressed.
This is important to me since I have been playing for a long time, and have some unobtainable cosmetics on my PlayStation account that I can't have on my PC and vice versa.
@d4kir When Valve makes Proton work nicely with BattlEye. Until then, enjoy your bare metal install of Windows.
@Ubi-Clem Man, I didn't spend >100 hrs exhaustively testing many different driver versions and creating an exhaustive report in to Ubi-Oof over 3 months ago to devolve to this. At this point, add in a driver check and only offer Vulkan for certain Nvidia driver versions through the Ubisoft client.
@Ubi-MrM @TheManUseBum Don't forget to add which version of the game you are running as part this issue. DX11 or Vulkan.
@Gh0sT-CL-Panzer Meleeing as a shield exposes your head & feet some while also making one side slightly more vulnerable. As shown in their demo, it looks like more like a forward push to knock someone over.
@Hades9288 Point was that they are removing an inconsistent luck based mechanic (hipfiring) while also giving them more tools to dispatch someone at close range without also exposing themselves like a melee would. That's literally part and parcel of the rework.
@Slyrr7 Classic Slyrr post. Half baked commentary on 2nd hand information and anecdotes mixed with blaming pros. As if those changes you mentioned had individual reasons and grassroots support for their day that you conveniently left out for your narrative and all of them were trying to attack a root problem that the devs are now trying to solve.
P.S. One of the "back in my day" reasons didn't exist at launch. Guess which one.
@MyBFisChubby I'd love that, but I'd much prefer if they fix/upgrade their current FSR implementation first. They did pretty much the bare minimum to tick a feature box and might as well not have bothered adding it in its current state.
@sydchsama I personally don't see much point in using reshade when it just looks like you put on special glasses saturating everything, when that's barely half of what they did to the lighting.
And BE + QB is likely to be incredibly hostile to injecting reshade anyways. On paper, BE is supposed to allow the use of reshade at the discretion of the developer, but QB makes it complicated to hook into the exe.
I do appreciate that at least 1 person on earth recognizes the importance of lighting on how a game looks though.
Allow some intentional team kills to count as -1 kills. That's it.
