@longjohn119
Because they took their money when they sold the game in 2017 and advertised it as a Windows 7 game and it worked fine on Windows 7 until recently, how about you stop telling people what OS to use on THEIR computers, it doesn't concern you and i dual boot both Win 7 and 10 and i don't like the control MS has over my PC with their newer OS, now 12 is on the way, only thing better about 10 for me is DLSS, your scaremongering is nonsense and it's only to play a game!, so why does it bother you.
@sacrede5150
I already pre ordered the game long before the streams, i didn't watch for research, i watched because i'm a fan of the game and i'm looking forward to playing it, who cares how many subs they have, so you want to play the game at the same time as the streamers basically or play it as soon as possible, yeah we all do but your going a little ott about it.
@longjohn119 the only things irrelevant is your posts, if your not interested in helping people in this thread, which your not, and only here to dictate what os people should use, then maybe you should find a thread that states why people shouldnt use windows 7 or wait to be asked for your opinion,
Until a month a go the game worked fine on 7 until a patch changed that, so your overused so called anti win 7 facts that have been around a long time, dont apply or people wouldnt of been playing the game without issues would they,
You obviously haven't used windows 7 for a long time and i use both 7 and 10 so you dont really know what your talking about do you!
Nvidia released drivers for AC Origins back in 2017 and every driver released until last year support Origins on Win 7.
Customers have a right to complain if any product doesn't work as sold, i'm not a young gamer either, and i can't remember hardly any games with as many bugs as Valhalla and Cyberpunk in the past, Fallout 76 obviously started a trend!, triple a games maybe had a few and 1 or 2 patches fixed them,Skyrim doesn't count as Bethesda knew full well the modders would fix it, which they always did until the online only F76
Yeah, the cloak has never worked for me at normal speed, i get spotted every single time, on horseback too, but i can't play at the stealth walking speed, it is too slow, hopefully a future patch will change it, i'm 99 percent finished in the game and hardly used stealth at all due to this issue.
@sinfuldantheman
Happened to me as well, i also thought it didn't make sense, if your working for the leader you shouldn't have any trouble really and the cloak/hood only works if you walk at statue speed. and i can't play at that speed.
@sacrede5150
I am an older gamer,I started in the early 90's, and we are no longer the advertiser's anymore, just the customer's, especially after all the monetization's that have happened in the last few years and even longer, that's the point i'm making, loyalty counts for nothing now, these are multi billion's making profit driven companies so it's no use expecting them to care about anything else, which is why letting youtubers and streamers play the game early makes business sense to me, gamers are going to believe what they see above what these companies say and show, and they already have our money because we pre ordered so we don't matter now, it's marketing. i just don't let it upset me now, i've accepted the way it is and all i can do is keep my money to myself if i don't like it, but i want to play Valhalla.
The settlement, and it's in England and i like the raids, but if you mean the parkour, combat and stealth and bugged missions then the answer is no it doesn't, they are worse in my opinion, at the moment that is, hopefully that will change.
@jcar4327
i'm playing the game now and there is a load of bugs and no i haven't played a game with as many bugs and i've been gaming since 1991 on PC since 1995, sorry but your arrogant and wrong, i don't care whether you agree or not. and that includes Cyberpunk
@trappist01x
+ 1 for this as well it does get repetitive, also areas changing from distrust to normal once a story arc is completed, i like to travel by horse around England in the game and they should change afterwards and i always get spotted even with the cloak on, and get rid of that bandit that seems to follow me everywhere accusing me off killing his brother lol.
@Landhammer
You were right!. here we go again.
So Ubisoft after reversing this in December, after Connect not working last year, are trying a different method of stopping Windows 7 and 8.1 users, although i notice offline works, so far.

@Wedge009 Yeah, mine is working now all of a sudden, your right we don't know for how long or why, i'm wondering if MS is in the background somewhere pulling the a few string's, because it makes no sense for Ubisoft financially to do this imo, they sell less games and get a bad rep.
I have just had the same Opps payment failed trying to buy the Ragnorak dlc, i used Visa and also from the UK, i have 2 step verification enabled as well, i'm not trying again to have Majn9n problems as no money was taken from my bank, it seems Ubisoft doesn't want our money, well ok, but it doesn't make sense to me for a business and now i'm wary of making purchases from the Ubi store.
@Joseantime Firstly your missing the point again, as Wedge 009 has already pointed out, and preaching, everybody here already know your points about Windows 10, it's not relevant in this thread,
Secondly, you are not answering our points about games that have always ran on 7, and should still do so, and i won't be paying money to any company that does this type of thing in the future, what's the point, they will only work for a limited time, some people will have to pay to upgrade or can't because they don't have the right hardware, which will also cost more money, when their current HW and set up run's the games fine on 7,
Thirdly, Is that you Longjohn!!.
@longjohn119
Yeah i only used the ENB which improved memory and performance on Skyrim before the 64 bit version and yeah these new gpu techs can be good, trouble is i haven't bought a new game since getting Cyberpunk cheap in feb 2021 and that was because it went on the nexus, i use Dlss in that.
So its Saints Row for me then wait for Starfield which could be delayed again, there is nothing else that interests me in the next year
@longjohn119
Yeah Microsoft doesn,t support it now, well seeing as i had trouble with a windows update on 10 yesterday that isnt always a bad thing,
Yes xp 98 etc are obsolete but 7 still has a lot of games that work on it, and that should include Origins,
There is a youtube video from 2020 comparing game performance between win 7 and 10 and it basically the same, i expect more from a new windows and i like having the choice, i do like dlss 2 though, but not that many games use it at present.
@longjohn119
Longjohn, look ive already got windows 10, ive said i dual boot, i have more control over 7 which is why i prefer to use it as well as 10, i do not like the newer windows they are controlled phone operating systems. Not very good desktop ones
I dont need advise i have tech qualifications in pc, a bit out of date now i admit, ive been building and using pc,s since the late 90,s
Look we get it you dont like 7 and we should all upgrade, you've said, but your going over the top, personal computer means just that a choice, i dont agree with your take on it, but your entitled to your opinion but the topic isnt about that, 0rigins worked fine until the patch not because of windows 7
