After 2 years; this is what they give us? I just started playing this game last week and it just happened to me. I lost over 20 hours of play. I see this has been happening since launch and continues to happen repeatedly afterwards, regardless of manual saves. I lost 2 whole alliances campaigns and over half of my power. I can't even remember the powers I acquired, and the thought of doing all those missions over is making me nauseous. I'm not playing a minute more, if at at all, until I see that this has been fixed. At this point, I really want a refund. I'm scared to play Watchdog Legends for whatever BS might be hidden in there too....I might really be done with Ubisoft as a whole over this. This game was a complete waste of time.
Is it correct that some people experiencing other people's saves? If so; is it possible that we might gets our saves back? Honestly; that is all I want. I do not want to have to go through 20+ hours just to get back to where I was a few days ago. Just to have it possibly disappear again. Either way something has to be done. They had 2 years and a month to get this right. Get it together Ubisoft.
I honestly believe that the bug is unfixable. There is nothing Ubisoft can do about it, because it's tied into their save cross-platform/cross-console feature. They won't tell us that though, because they'd have to refund all of purchases across 2 titles. I'm sure whoever the brilliant mind was that came up with the "cross console saves" feature was fired!
The big mouthed-idiot. Most likely some R&D guy with no true idea of how "the magic" behind such a feat would work.
I've had every AC and WatchDog game on multiple consoles. Some I've bought more than once, from XBOX 360, PS3, XBOX One, PS4, even the Nintendo Switch with their 2 (4; depending on how you look at it) releases. That being said; I'm disappointed that this is hill that Ubisoft has decided to die on. Fix the game or return the money. I've turn on the game periodically to see if by chance the saves returned, or at least a new patch that fixed the issue, but ofcourse they haven't. I'm scared to really invest any more time into this game. I see that even after the new so called patches and hot fixes people are still having the same issue. Leading me to believe more in my theory that this is an unfixable bug due to their new "cross console" feature. We may in fact be stuck here.
Also; I just realized that I was a part of that 1st mission, "A Seers Solace", bug. I initially just thought I'm just not visiting the right hut. Or I was overlooking something, and pretty much turned the game off and went back to playing Miles Morales. didn't return to AC for almost a month and voilà the marker was there.
It seems I was doomed to experience the worst from this game from the jump.
Also the dragging of feet by Ubisoft might be due to the problem being contained to this message board. Amongst people that already own the game. We need to bring this to the public via IG/ Twitter/ FB/ Youtube, keep flaming that the game is unplayable and would be a waste of money. Tell people who already purchased these games for their loved ones to take it back for a store refund ASAP. Do this wherever there are potential future buyers. Ubisoft might be more inclined to actually try and come to some resolution then; if future earnings might be affected. I'm heading over to Amazon, Walmart, GameStop and leaving reviews that this game is unplayable and Ubisoft is doing nothing to fix the problem. Urging people to return it, before it is too late. Hopefully I will see you there.
I mean we have the time now; its not like we could be playing a game or anything.
It has been over a month. Every "patch" &"fix" so far hasn't worked. At this point; I think that Ubisoft can't fix it. It's tied into the stupid transfer saves across all platforms feature.
I guess that they wanted players from XBOX One to pick up where they left off when they upgraded to the XBOX Series X/S. Or if you purchased for XBOX and wanted to purchase it for PlayStation; you'll be covered too, but instead they destroyed their own game. Simply turning off the feature might through things further into a hizzy.
This is a perfect example of being too smart for your own good. Can't wait to see what they have planned for the next installment of AC & WD, because this one is a dub. How do we go about getting refunds?

@ubikobold
1. XBOX Series X. Lost over 20+ hours, and over half of skill powers, not mention treasures and other side missions.
2. No prior crashes, no error messages. A few minor bugs of missions not ending until I saved elsewhere via synchronization or something.
3. Never happened before.
4. Dont know. I won't risk playing, this or WatchDogs Legions, again until I have confirmation that this bug is fixed.
