I 100% agree with you. I felt, that something in combat is missing, lacking, wasn't just there. I wasn't able to identify it instantly. There's parry, there's dodge, abilities, skills, great finishers, so it should feel good right? Then I noticed that camera during the raids. They need to get it closer. When I'm 1v1 battling someone outside of the raid or city, it's amazing, but that distant camera is really breaking the combat quite a lot, it's not immersive. Ubisoft please fix it if possible, give us some camera distance slider.
Hello guys,
even after completing the story and everything else, I still quite didn't get the "Let the Animus decide" option. Since all god's reincarnations are of the same sex as them (Basim - Loki, Sigurd - Tyr, etc...) why does Eivor have 2 Animus memory streams, since Odin was a male? I have a theory on my mind, but I would like to hear from someone else. Thanks.

I'd say wait for some post launch content :). The game itself is pretty overwhelming as is, tons of things to do and with quite huge variability.
Odyssey side quests and contracts were just terrible. I'm glad they got rid of it, it was so artificial and boring - kill 20 spartan soldiers, destroy 5 ships, kill 5 wolves.
I agree with you regarding contracts. I hope they add something like that. Especially contracts in distrust zones, that's a lot of fun to just blend in with the monks, hide on the benches, etc...
Let's see what is coming to Valhalla.
Hello guys,
I just wanted your opinion on all these supernatural skills in AC game like arrows which fire through the stone walls, or remotely controlled arrow, etc... Do you like it? Because I certainly don't. I think it shouldn't be there. Also these Asgard and Jotunheim sequences. I just want to complete them as fast as possible and go back to England or Norway. I know it's a dream sequence, but they should have done it like some 15 minute gameplay sequences and that's it. I think this stuff just shouldn't be in AC game.
It's a pity, because when I'm in a distrust area, blending with the crowd, slowly walking with my hood on, I got that good old AC feeling. They should definitely go this way with the next installment. I think they also got the RPG elements right this time, no grind or 200 items each hour, decisions actually make a difference., unique items are great, skills are great (the grounded ones, not supernatural), combat has some depth, although it's a bit clunky and should be polished a bit more. Side activities and side missions are actually great and fun this time. I also love the settlement, it reminded me of AC 3 a lot.
This is an opinion from someone, who has been with AC franchise since the beginning, I'm not stuck in the past, I don't want another Ezio trilogy or something like that, I'm actually liking the new format, I just think they should ditch what's not important and invest that time in perfecting and expanding the core gameplay mechanics like blending, target assassinations, combat, skills, parkour etc... So my conclusion - I think they got the RPG + AC formula right this time, it just needs to be more grounded and polished. Then we might get a perfect AC game.
