That will not happen. Either this game is a success and becomes the new baseline for any future settlers game, or this game fails and the whole settlers series dies with it. After Champions of Anteria and this game ubisoft won't try for a third time to develope a new settlers game . Same reason why the 2019 version won't be released.

The tooltip says that the active maps are prefered when searching for matches but only if it is possible. The system works as intended. Deactivated cards are not strictly excluded when searching for opponents, which makes the option rather pointless in my eyes.
So Ubisoft, give us the opportunity to choose maps directly. Or if you want to stick to this system, then exclude deactivated maps when searching for opponents.
Engineers can not be attacked on their own land.
Normal Soldiers need a research to attack buildings.
Warehouses can defend themself.

It makes almost no difference. The shop is intentionally designed in a way that players pay with real money because the difference between shards and credits is rediculously high.
For example you need 30000 shards to buy a legendary border stone skin. You get 7500 shards for the weekly challenges, 900 for the 3 Hardcore mode missions and, to make it easy, another 1600 for multiplayer games. 10000 shards per week. So you have to farm shards for 3 weeks to get the skin. But the shop rotates every week. So after farming the shards for three weeks, you have to wait for an unknown time until the skin is available again.
Many weeks of farming and waiting to get one skin for free. Or you spend some real money and buy the skin directly for 2,50€.
I had the same problem. I asked the Ubisoft Support on Twitter for help and they could solve the problem. The deluxe edition was added to my account as a DLC. Now I have all the ingame items and can view the artbook.

I asked the Ubisoft Support on Twitter and they told me that if I preordered the digital version of the game from the Ubisoft strore, I would not get a preorder code but instead the game and the preorder bonus would be added to my account on release day.
