@cadmann2013
I'm not sure why you had to bring ANTIFA adverts into this discussion and wish you would post something like that in a separate thread as some of us don't see it that way. I'm also not sure why other users are being attacking @Ubi-Baron @Ubi-Woofer
Criticizing them of, "going dark", or "going into hiding". It's not their fear of keyboard warriors, it's because they've let us know what they can at this time.
I understand the frustration, I was really hoping the achievements would be added in the title update however, Ubi-Woofer has assured us they are in development. There hasn't been any team member that's said they would be in the next title update, they've said, "As written previously, I'll upload this thread with news of the achievements as soon as I have any to share. Thank you all for your patience and understanding in the meantime."
I'd like to reiterate that it's perfectly fair to feel frustrated, but we should remain civil and grateful to the moderators that there was a confirmation. It's perfectly fair to feel frustrated if you don't want to start a game without achievements. If they don't work retroactively, you could still play the game and try to tackle the achievements when New Game+ is to be released.
Despite 1.0.4 fixing quite a few issues I've dealt with, I've decided to restart Origins as I made less than 15% progress in the game. It's not what I wanted to happen after dropping $100 USD on the gold edition of Valhalla but c'est la vie, it's time to make peace with what we didn't receive from this title. We'll remember this when the next tile drops and hopefully inform others that they shouldn't pre-order from Ubisoft. Many players are going to move onto Cyberpunk: 2077 in two weeks. For the amount of time CD:PR delayed it, I highly doubt, that even in unprecedented times, there could be as turbulent of a launch as Valhalla had. You have the option to play that title while Valhalla is slowly fixed and we receive achievements. I'm just looking at options.
We need to remain courteous, however. We cannot attack the moderators who have helped us. We shouldn't be bringing up any additional issues besides achievements unless it's to make a far point. Point others from the subreddit(s) to this link. There are plenty out there who still believe that PC will not have achievements. Make sure they see this;
I can confirm that achievements will be coming to Assassin's Creed Valhalla on PC as such. Please rest assured that all of your feedback on this matter has been carefully taken into consideration. We will update you all as soon as we have more information to share. Thank you. - Ubi-Woofer (Image link: https://i.imgur.com/nElVtYv.png): (https://i.imgur.com/nElVtYv.png))
Also, I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving, team members included even though you're in Canada!
@Gonbak The moderator told us that they are coming. It has frustrated me as well, but I do not understand what more you could ask for at this point. They are coming; there's just no ETA. Furthermore, Valhalla will not be dead in two weeks because of Cyberpunk 2077. Sure, many are going to play it, but I know I will be returning to Valhalla because there were aspects of the game that I loved. I do not know if there are any game developers in this thread, but none of us knows the amount of work it would require to add them. The extended amount of time could be so they're retroactive and will have API integration.
I've opened tickets about this, but I'm rescinding my refund request. The 1.0.4 title update addressed some significant issues, and we know there are more fixes to come. My only wish is that there were more developer involvement in the community to give us an idea of what to expect, but a moderator confirming that there will be achievements is sufficient enough for me, personally.
I hope we can continue looking out for hints or clues, and redirecting those who have similar concerns to this thread, but saying things like the game will be dead in two weeks isn't going to help. Why don't we try to continue this conversation in a manner where we're not continually bashing the game. I know I'm guilty of some of that myself because I love trophy hunting!
But to reiterate, they're coming!
Wow. I don't know what to say!
I just purchased the Gold Edition on PC through Ubisoft. I am enjoying it so far bar a few bugs, namely muffled/low-quality audio, but this is the most disappointing "surprise".
Forgive my memory, was Odyssey available on Steam for pre-purchase? It must have been because Odyssey and Origins are both in my library, and I have several achievements for each game. I love having them in my steam library. I love being able to earn achievements. I really can't believe they'd pull something like this when consoles received trophies and achievements.
I'm still very disappointed and I hope Ubisoft developers are reading this.
I am contributing to this thread to make Ubisoft aware that I am experiencing these issues, and I have an open ticket. This needs to be a prioritized issue, not just a minor investigation as it's destroying my immersive experience.
@ubi-woofer Mistakes happen but that doesn't make it alright for players who weren't notified of the change before their purchase, and who may still think this is a bug as it was said "we are actively working to enable achievements", the fact that console players alone are able to enjoy the achievement system but not PC players is saying a lot. By now, many of us have compared an achievement system to the surprise, "challenges" and didn't find it sufficient. If it was part of the game's design, there should have been some sort of disclaimer before PC players purchased this title, and there shouldn't have been misinformation spread that the team was actively working on it.
I would highly appreciate you taking a look at my support ticket.
The support staff here have truly taken us for a ride of uncertainty, haven't they? I think they've made yet another "miscommunication". Achievements are not coming. Move on, friends. Play the game with challenges, or wait in limbo for further disappointment. You could also do what I've done and uninstall, realize you've made an expensive mistake, and then pay Ubisoft no more of your time. Best of luck to all of you.
@shuar I've requested one. If it were fixed, I'd move on but this is on a new level of unacceptable.
@xrayspex_73
Forgive me, but what is Exophase?
Edit: Learned it's an achievement tracking website.
Very odd.
@ubi-woofer I'm sorry, I misunderstood and this is great news. PC players do appreciate achievements and I'm glad they're coming. There is however, one issue that really needs to be addressed, and it's the low quality sound. This shouldn't be something happening in with AAA titles in 2020. Unless it's a known issue and being worked on, there are many of us who are losing out on the immersive experience we were expecting.
My case number is 13262209.
Cheers!
@jeffmorgan1983
I certainly don't want to be the "entitled" guy, but I'm starting to feel you on this one. I'm close to throwing in the towel with this game.
Origins and Odyssey's launch weren't without issue, but I had no regrets buying either. I understand Valhalla was just launched, but I've been hesitant to progress my game any further not only because I'm waiting for the PC achievements, but because there are many here on the forum and the subreddit reporting that their saves are becoming corrupted and being told to start the game over when they open support tickets. I'm afraid to trigger anything that would destroy my save file.
The audio sounds terrible for me, apparently it's fine for others, so I guess that one's on me. None of the rewards I was supposed to receive have unlocked. I'm just very frustrated and to be honest, I do regret buying the gold edition with the season pass because I don't know where the game will be at then. I put way too much faith in Ubisoft this time around because I was overall content with the previous two installments.
I really hope they start to address some of the major issues folks are having with clear answers but I've lost most of my excitement for the game as a whole.
@ubi-mercury
Update: I had a friend check the same location on PS4 and this graphic glitch was there as well. It is not my system, it is within the game. This issue is resolved.
Thank you.
@ubi-mercury They started yesterday. I only started playing the game a few days ago. It is only in one location so far.
@halcyonrift
It does not matter if you get the game on Epic or any where else,
The achievements will display on Ubisoft connect
Thanks for letting me know.
Hello,
I started a new game of Assassin's Creed Valhalla. I'm still in the Norway portion of the game, and I've tried different optimization settings for graphics. Today, while playing, everything seemed to be running well until I encountered this texture on this rock.

Just out of curiosity, does the Epic Games version of Valhalla show the Uplay achievements with their launcher, if not, are there any plans to implement them in the future?
Thank you,
halcyonrift
@attanno_
Oh, no.
This issue was one of the main reasons I abandoned this game at launch. I cannot tell you how thwarted I am to return more than a half a year later to learn it hasn't been resolved. I don't understand why they couldn't offer some form of high-definition audio pack, allowing players to decide if they want to use up more free storage rather than compressing the game's audio for everyone. What a shame.
@ShroniX Do you still believe I was talking nonsense? They're expanding Challenges, not implementing the achievements everyone here is looking for.
Edit: Apologies, this is in response to @NeighVrinsk 's post.

@luschess_ I don't think it would be in 'known issues' as it's not classified as an issue but more of an upcoming feature. Right? I could be wrong, but we've already gotten a hard confirmation that they're coming from Ubisoft Staff.
There's also this thread; https://discussions.ubisoft.com/topic/81608/reported-issue-megathreads-please-check-here-if-a-thread-exists-for-your-issue-updated-26-11
While not the "official" known issues, it addresses reported problems within the game, and we'll continue to receive updates.
I would like to see more about the low-quality audio as an official issue, but that is another concern of mine that's being discussed here:
