I've merged together a couple of threads about being unable to use the fishing line after building the Fishing Hut. Creating a single thread helps us to keep all information and updates from an investigation in a single place. I apologise if any ongoing discussions have been disrupted by this merge.

The development team are aware of this issue, and they are currently investigating further. If you have been affected by this issue, can you please provide us with some additional information:

• When did this issue first occur? Was it immediately after building the fishing hut, or after carrying out another action?
• Have you been able to use the fishing rope anywhere at all?
• If you have any video footage which shows the issue in-game, please can you share it with us in this thread? This will be helpful for the ongoing investigation.

We can then pass these reports along to the development team for further investigation.

I’m so sorry, I didn’t see this discussion before. I’ll try to be more careful.
The problem started as soon as I built the fishing hut. I’m pretty sure I was able to fish with Tarben before doing so (which I found very weird), and when I built it and tried to fish it simply didn’t let me. It didn’t matter where I tried, England or Norway, land or boat, it says “currently unavailable”
I can’t upload any footage right now but I’m going to as soon as I’m able to.

On Bloody Path To Peace Quest after burning all huts and killing all soldiers and time to fish for Eels with Ceolbert, selecting fishing line in menu shows Fishing Currently Unavailable.
Please tell me there is a solution to solve this. Even when trying to fish with weapons nothing available to fish seems empty.

Not able to fish anywhere. "Not Currently Available" in RED

I just finished this quest and it was different for me. When I approached the river with Ceolbert and he grabbed his fishing rod, my Eivor said “I just have my weapons”, implying that I haven’t built the fishing hut in the settlement yet. I was able to swim and catch the eels with my axe though.

Im playing on xbox one x and my game wont let me fish. Ive already built the fishing hut, but when i try to use the fishing line on the action wheel (near water of course) it says “not currently available”. The only time i was able to do it was with tarben. Im getting crazy
