Progression breaking bug - cannot start A Seers Solace quest. Am right at the beginning. Spoke to Randvi and she suggested I talk to the seer on the mountain. The quest is not available in my quests list and if I go to the seer on the mountain nothing happens. I cannot progress story. I am on PS4.
I have reloaded my save several times. The quest is never loaded into my quests list and cannot be started. This new forum design is terrible and the UI breaks on my phone btw.

Same problem. On 1.0.2 on PS4.

Game is updated to 1.0.2. seems like the update broke the quest.

I got abused by people on this forum for doing the right thing and reporting this bug early as I received the game early. I was accused of "bragging" and "spoiling" the game. Now look where we are. Everyone is up the fjords without a paddle literally. And I was the first to send them a video of the bug trying to get this resolved asap. They have watched it 5 times since Friday US time according to the view count fyi.

This bug has to be effecting 100 percent of people on PS4 doing any side content before receiving the quest. This is pretty crazy. It's like a brand new car with a gear shift that can't go past 2nd gear.

They will patch it when Ragnarök (Doom's day) comes and we are all writhing in agony. Seriously, this bug appears to be unanimous across the board. Can anyone find an example of someone playing on 1.0.2 who has not had his issue and done side content before starting the Solace quest?

Oh sweet baby Odin! I knew I should have held off on this game for a couple of weeks. This is the worst I've seen it with an Ubisoft game, well 2nd worst. I got the gold edition of Watch Dogs Legion and put the code into the PS store. The code said "successfully redeemed" but when I went to download the season pass content and watch dogs 1 the PlayStation wants me to purchase the season pass content. Can't access any of it at all. Me and several other angry PlayStation users have been screaming at Ubisoft since launch and we're still not able to access content we paid for and haven't got any updates on what they're doing about it.

@dlmthree You should take it up with Amazon Australia. I was absolutely disgusted that they sent me my copy early. How dare they try to get goods to paying consumers on time while working around an over stretched Australia postal system due to a pandemic.

@funbagsofsatan Technically I'm beta testing the game for you at this point so you don't have to deal with this stuff on launch day. You do not want to be super keen and launch this game at 12 am to find it's literally broken with no means to progress very very very early in the game. If it makes you feel better, I was playing the opening and during that time the game broke. I was enjoying it immensely until that point in time so it's particularly annoying.

Game releases officially in 5 hours in my timezone. Hope you guys have a patch for this otherwise the first headlines we'll see over the launch day will be "Game Breaking Bug Puts a Nordic Chill on Valhalla's Launch" etc, etc.

I also have this issue on PS5.

Eivor has become a true alcoholic since the Yule patch. Whenever I load a save she's completely sloshed. I'm on PS5.

@funbagsofsatan turns out I got this moonlight axe but never attended an ubi event. What is going on? I have this kick [censored] axe on my broken save game

Can some one confirm as I'm confused about preorder content and how it applies to your game. I loaded my bugged PS4 save into ps5 first and saw some axe appear in my inventory. If I want my pre-order stuff to appear outside of my bugged save, I have to completely delete all previous saves, uninstall and reinstall the game and start fresh?

Everyone keep posting in this thread and sharing your very real sentiments about returning the game. If you know someone else with the bug urge them to also post here. The more people and the more posts the more likely the pressure and possible negative press about the worst Ubisoft bug I have seen for a brand new title (well apart from me not having access to the entire season pass for watch dogs legion), the more likely they are to pull their antler horns out of their behinds.

@ubi-swaggins Did a raid and some side quests, spoke to some NPCs etc before talking to the quest giver.
