@grimlock225 excactly what I would wish for future updates.
@mangybasterd I would like to see an option which you allows to set the powerlevel of the NPCs to your powerlevel like in the ACs before. I had the most fun playing when I sneaked into bases with opponents marked with skulls and would therefore also like an option that allows us to increases the power level of the NPCs by X levels compared to the player level so that it is challenging in the late game
@lemonidas Thats a feature that ubisoft has implemented since AC Origins. But in AC Origins only spears were affected from this feature. I think the reason behind this was, that the weapon should not look to large when you take it on your back and not to small when you hold in in your hand. In AC Origins it was a smart solution for the spears in my opinion. In AC Valhalla are many more weapons affected from this effect. The hammers, spears, greatswords and predator bows. I would also appreciate when they would take a deeper look on the affected weapons and give would give them an "reasonable" size. Hammer and spears would look rediculous tiny if they would not expand and would at the same would to large if they don't shrink in your holster. But for greatswords and predator bows I would totally agree with you - they look way to large like a final fantasy weapon or something like that. And thats what you said, it makes them really unattractive to use. But it would be also a good idea to make this effect toggable in the menu, maybe even for each weapon type so you could avoid the too small spears or hammers.
@aanthony0329 Could not more agree! We already knew that it was not a bug and just a poor choice in game design. As already said from other users, it killed the immersion, because it is way too noticeable.
There are many threads about the lack of equipment and the point that we have too much fantasy based armors and way too less immersive looking gear. But I want to give my feedback and an Idea how to improve the gear system so that it would be possible to combine most of the sets and make it all look a little bit more immersive.
Personally I like the idea that we can just have a few sets which we could find in the world. Its nearly the same way witcher 3 had done it where you also had just a few sets that were actually usable and we were able to upgrade it. I absolutely not liked the necessary extreme farming in odyssey and that most of the items were absolutely garbage so that after 5 hours I don't even watched the blue Items and after a few hours more your inventory was always full with 400 armor parts that you would never ever use in your lifetime.
The problem during just having a few sets is that you have a lack of diversification to choose from. You have around 10 sets which means you have even less options as in AC origins. To be fair - most of theme have an alternative look when you upgrade the items but to benefit from that we need a transmog system so there would be a few more options to individualize you character. But unfortunately even with a transmog system we will get by far not as much as in Odyssey and additionally most of the outfits fit not with gear parts of an other outfit, because some use gold metal parts, some use silver metal parts and we have fabric parts in red, blue green etc and further more, some of the outfits are too much fantasy based. So even if we could mix the sets with each other they would not fit regarding the metal and color parts.
To fix this in Valhalla I would like to see that the transmog System include some color variants or "drys" that we could purchase at the vendors for the the existing outfits and weapons. In that way you can decide if you want a green or a blue armor or if you want gold or silver for the armor. So you still need to find the armors and weapons to unlock the base gear and improve the gear to unlock more variant looks but you can individualize it in different color variations after that.
Furthermore I would appreciate it, if the transmog system would also include some more variations. Some of the already existing outfits from some other characters and NPCs (Tyr, Thor, the draugr of ragnar, Zealots some bosses or even some random NPCs). Some of those outfits and weapons are really awesome and fit perfectly in an immersive way into the game and it is nothing new that Ubisoft has to create, they just have to make it usable for us. We could buy those variations at the vendors or unlock them as rewards for killing the draugr or bosses or whatever.
When both ideas combined would find a way into the game, there should be a huge amount of variations to individualize you character like it was possible in AC Unity for example.
So to sum it up - I don't want 400 sets and items in my inventory. The amount of items I can find is fine. But I would like to customize the few that I have found in a way as if I had 400 different varieties to choose from.
@fruitloops3000 even if swords were expensive in this time periode, nearly every NPC used an one-handed sword. historical correct or not, it breaks the immersion that anybody can use a onehanded sword except yourself. So in my opinion thats no argument that would work. And through the finisher I have the feeling that I have killed more people with their own swords as with my own weapons.
@blackworm84 Is it just me or do you have also the feeling that the only working change is the background picture in the main menu?
@cell1e would totally agree, for killing some of the ragnar draugr and the zealots it would be more rewarding when we would get a new weapon or armor
@alarick7 right at the moment is no way to downgrade it. I have made the same experience as you and find that some of the upgraded versions the gear looks way to rediculous, because they are to colorful and golden. I would recommend you to quicksave befor upgrade the gear, so you can easily reverse your decision.
@frosthound030 hopefully we will get an transmog system which will allow us to decide which color or metal we want to wear. That was really one of the best things in odyssey and one of the only features of odyssey that I want to see again.
I have a multiple problems with the daily quest:
Today I had only one quest and this quest was also not listed in the questlog...
Has anyone else noticed the same problems? I am a bit upset as Ubisoft wants to sell a second season pass and still have not fixed the game until now...
I have purchased 2 Items during the item-sale a few weeks ago. Unfortunately one of the Items disappeard after I purchased it. What can I do to get it back or what should I do now?
@aanthony0329 Could not more agree! We already knew that it was not a bug and just a poor choice in game design. As already said from other users, it killed the immersion, because it is way too noticeable.
Not a single note regarding this topic in the patch notes 1.2.2???
Even the cats expand when you pet them, but that's kind of funny
I have the same problem, my jormsviking has just gender swapped. Has anybody found a solution or workaround yet?
@imaginaryruins would be an nice idea if the runes where actually useful. Don't get me wrong - your idea is very cool - but the game is even on highest difficulty too easy so there is not really necessary to equip runes. If Ubisoft would add a higher difficulty or give players more freedom to increase the NPC level your idea could work in my opinion.
@mikestarmgard yeah i have wished that too. It bothers me a lot that some NPC and even the straw dolls in your base wear some more accurate and immersive armors that we could get. Would be a cool Idea to spice up the transmog system when they would add those armors.
@mikestarmgard personally I would not care about weapon/gear runes. I would completely ignore the chests if there would be runes instead of weapons. But it would be great if they would give us the gear in other color variants. So there is still a reason to find all the gear chest again and in that case you would have an additional color option for the transmog system.
@average8 this festival was a waste of time in my opinion. There were not a single item in the shop that was useful or was worth to buy. Not a single weapon or gear. Hope they will add something useful with the next festival.
