If you are trying to kill off the PC game community you are doing a sterling job. Since we can't play the game in its current state.
It is not just the unfortunate PC player that cannot play the game in its current state that is affected by this mess, I am what you might call a more fortunate PC player because I can play for hours and not see one crash the entire session while mosty getting maybe a couple of crashes before things settle down for the rest of my session that can be several hours long.
The thing is, that while lucky me is going for hours doing Countdown runs and missions crash free, I am constantly finding myself failing or barely completing the main objective and then getting creamed at extraction, or completing a mission solo because players keep disconnecting due to the good old Ubisoft crash bug.
More and more of my free time that I used to give too much of to Div 2 is now going to my other passion, Flight Sim and if this continues I will be flying more and more. Not a bad thing really.
Anybody who thinks they can make this problem go away by fiddling with their PC settings, configurations, bios, hardware, etc, etc is living in la, la land. It is this game and its developers causing this problem period.
I am running Pepar3d v5.3 flight simulation with high definition addon airports, highly detailed and memory intensive aircraft addon, AI traffic addon, dynamic real word weather genenerating addon and high definition cloud generation software, all that would make this game look like a solitar app when it comes to CPU and GPU demand and never a crash. Why? Because the developers of that software know what they are doing and take pride in their products.

Yup, this morning two hard lock ups,. The first just 30 seconds after logging in this morning and then on second login it locked up within five minutes of entering game. Both times were in the menu. This is getting rediculous.
A day in the life of a PC Div 2 agent:
1. Download new update and logon.
2. Matchmake for Countdown.
3. Complete and extract with 7 players. Yay.
4. MM for CD, confronted first hunter and went down. After hive revival, couldn't beleave. My player roster just showed me and one other player left in game and all the rest disconnected. The other player left so I did to.
5. MM for CD and crashed (not responding) during first objective.
6. MM for CD, made it through to completion of main objective then crashed (NR) on my way to extraction.
7. Logged back in but could not get MM response because my server cnnection indicated "region" only but no server.
8. Spent a good 10min logging off and back in until finally my conection indicated yellow connection to US West (I am in the East).
9. MM for CD, made it through main objective then crash (NR) on way to extraction.
10. MM for CD, crash (NR) during second objective.
11. MM for CD, loose all but 2 players (4-disconnect, 2 quit) made it to extraction but got creamed.
12. MM for CD, made it through to extraction with 4 players, did not extract, but did remain active.
13. Extracted with 6 players
14. Extracted with 8 players.
Logged off and went back to my flight sim.
Can it get any worse?
I am at around 2400 SHD and in it for the fun, so compared to the pros I suck. Having said that, if I am matched with a bunch of so called pros I can do my part and have a good run even though my skill does not match my SHD level, so as long as there are a majority of pros on the team, they can easily help you perform at a higher level than your solo ability.
As a matter of fact just yesterday I got matched with almost all sub 500 SHD players and we wiped badly. Still had fun and still walked away with a sizeable bag of loot. Yeah, people need to chill more, it's more fun.
Yup, just 30mins in and freeze to windowed mode, Task Mgr = Not Responding. This after crash free all day yesterday when it wasn't fixed. Ubisoft/Massive, did you not test this so called fix before rolling it out?
@hyper-sniper Tell me about it. I am on PC and have been able to play the game with some lockups/crashes, but this morning after two attempts and two hard lockups I have logged out and given up. Absolute disgrace.
@BlueCollar
The problem is that the server part isn't working properly and they are mandatory for this game to run in the first place. Without them the game isn't going anywhere and it only shows that it's poorly designed and GaaS doesn't work unless servers are in the same building, on the same network. So when they create the game in their offices (dedicated server) they will never run into these issues, that includes testing certain aspects of the game.
Are you saying that they are not even smart enough to figure out a way for the test group (if they actually have one) to test this thing at home independent of their dedicated servers?
Sadly in spite of having these tweaks I still get hard freezes. Having said that, for some reason after enduring 2 or 3 of these freezes, things seem to settle down and I do gets some hours of gameplay. Next day same thing, very strange.
Let's all be honest though, the ultimate fix is with Ubisoft/Massive and shame on them for their shabby treatment of their PC customers.
@DAZ_AAF71 Now imagine this happening on a daily basis but any time, any activity, be it mission, bounty, Countdown, free roam, etc, etc and then imagine having put up with this for months, begging for a fix and you have a glimpse into the life of a PC player in this game.
and the customers deserve better.
Which is why I will not do further business with or use this company,s products until they change their management practices which includes customer service and product support.
I don't think Ubisoft has anything to do with the mess that is the current state of the game, (...)
Really? I'd say Ubisoft as the publisher bears the largest part of the blame. It was them who decided to originally end the game after Season 4 with basically nothing more to come. It was them who rushed into the decision to after all do extend the game's lifecycle (which back then even caught Massive by surprise) due to their adjusted company strategy. It was them who hastedly threw Ubisoft Bucharest at the game to now maintain and further develop a software they to that date had never worked a single second on. And with all understanding for the difficult situation the dev team finds itself in now, they also are Ubisoft dev team... so... also Ubisoft.
So would Ubisoft not have anything to do with the current state of the game?
Nice to see someone gets it, Ubisoft owns this mess imho which is why some months ago I shelved this game I love and gave Ubi an ultimatum. That being that if this mess is not fixed before or at TUD 17, I will not only uninstall the Div2, but Ubisoft connect along with it. I blame them 100%. You can blame Massive all you (the gaming community) want, Ubisoft is standing by letting it happen.
Wow, when I read the announcement that Steam was taking this on, I cannot describe how flabbergasted I was. Notwithstanding the absolute nerve of Ubiaoft (nothing surprises me with that company), is Steam not concerned about their reputation?
Unfortunately it is us the players who have through our continued support of this company's treatment of their customers, encouraged the unbelievable audacity of moves like this. Not one more licence should be sold to play this game through any means untill this game is fixed. Shame on you Ubisoft. As for Steam, I have no idea where their head is at!
Game now crashes when I open the map. Verified files. Boom - 5 minutes of needing to update files apparently. Then had to reinstall 47gb of game apparently. Ended that. Uninstalled and reinstalled the game.
Went into game opened map and bam crash.
Massive you're terrible. I will never purchase another game with massive entertainment.
I am not so sure anymore if Massive is to blame here. The guys with the money and the pin striped suits that I am guessing, controls the budgets work for Ubisoft and Massive is just a studio under the Ubisoft umbrella that do as they are told. This is why as I stated in an October post that they have until TU17 drop to fix this mess, or I am done with Div 2 and Ubisoft. This means Div2 along with Ubisoft Connect comes off my PC which means any other Ubi game that I have on my computer goes as well.
I think this is the only language they will understand if enough customers say "enough".
Like I said back in October, they have until TU17 to fix it or it's off my PC and that includes Ubisoft Connect by the way.
@Imagine_Brata Seriously? You really feel the need to make excuses for this company? Your comments on this forum really aren't achieving anything more than stirring up controversy.
@WrecK3rr Haven't pressed that button, as in starting the game, and not a single crashe ever since. All other apps and games are working just fine.
Yup I can confirm this really works, I can guarantee you will not crash.
@Gundalf_Zuria. Already ahead of you.
Well, if it is not fixed before or at TU17 i'm done with Div. 2. and Ubisoft and it comes off my hard drive. I figure if it is not fixed by then, they don't intend. Nobody in the business takes this long to fix a video game.
@Duze-dk Sorry if I sound like a cynic but been there tried that. The only way right now to stop Div 2 from crashing is to stop playing. This company only understands one thing, loss of player base and interest in their product (not just Div 2) = loss of revenue. Thank heaven I have another genre on PC that I enjoy and as a fill in I have gone back to Destiny 2 that has a complete DLC (on my hard drive) I haven't even looked at yet. Not my all time favorite PC game, but fun all the same and hey, "it doesn't crash.
