For other players who may have the same issue, I found another temporary solution. If I disable the in-game overlay from the Ubisoft Connect settings, I can run the game without having to shut down the Razer software. So, it seems likely that there is a conflict between the Ubisoft Overlay and Razer.

Playing Valhalla using Ubisoft+. I installed the game last night and everything worked fine.

Today the came crashes as soon as I press any key (either during the intro videos or once I get to the "press any key" screen with the Valhalla symbol).

I tried verifying the game files but that did not solve the issue. I then quit all of my background applications and the game started up fine. I then tried enabling them one at a time. When I got to the Razer suite of programs (Synapse, Cortex, and Chroma) the game crashed again.

Anyone else encountered this? Seems odd that it would work fine yesterday then crash today. I can simply quit the Razer programs then relaunch them once I am done with Valhalla but would be curious to find a solution.
