@dionapersson Just delete your savefiles and restart the game with 1.02 installed. Worked fine for me. PS4.

I also cannot progress. I am stuck at "A seer's solace". Valka doesn't react or anything when I show up at her hut. There seems to be a vast amount of problems with this launch, or so I gather from scanning these forums. Maybe you should've waited a few more months before releasing this game? I mean, come on, the main quest is broken. Not nice!

This happened to me as well. Lost 14-15 hours of progress. Gf wanted to try the game last night. I made sure she didn't save over my manual saves.

This morning most of my saves were gone and overridden. The only save I had left was from november 11th when I had progressed about 5-6 hours into the game and was playing as Layla.

This is bad beyond belief.

Just wanna add that I'm playing on PS4 and I did a bit of exploring, talked to the villagers(got a new set of tattoos, played Orlog, trained some flyting). I did the comb-challenge and the sleepwalker as well. Oh, I also did the raid on the island before entering Fornburg etc. Quest not progressing at all.

@poonyhooman They will not fix the bug faster just because you say so, I'm afraid. Like I said, they're working on it and they've posted a statement about it. We're all annoyed. I was furious when I first encountered the bug, but luckily there is a workaround. But yes, an update shouldn't break the game, but it did. All we can do now is wait or restart the game.

@poonyhooman I'm sorry to say this, but you're not gonna recieve a direct communication with the dev team. First off, there is an official resonse considering this bug. They are working on it. It takes time. Secondly, there are loads of other bugs that they are also working on. To me, it seems like they've got their hands full atm.

I understand your frustration. I agree with you that this shouldn't happen. Tbh this game was released to soon. But with this particular bug there is a workaround that works, although it may be annoying.

This is a human error. It happens.

I must say that I was shocked to find out that we're not able to use one handed swords in this game. But funny enough, we can use two handed swords. It kinda baffles me really.

It's a great game so far, I love it, but not being able to use one handed swords and shield kinda stumped me. It doesn't make any sense at all.

I read from the comments here that the reason they've excluded one handed swords is because they were so expensive to get? Well, were two handed swords cheaper? One could easily just steal a sword from a kill. I just don't get it. It makes no sense what so ever. I am truly perplexed.

The medieval times equals one handed swords dammit! And there are several really beautiful viking finds out there.

@fireinthesoul No, if you restart the game with 1.02 installed it works. The problem is that most of us were inpatient and started playing before 1.02 was installed. That broke the game.

Like I wrote above: restart the game with 1.02 installed and the quest "A seer's solace" works fine.

The issue has resolved itself. The bush disappeared as I got near it. Sorry for the very late reply, I haven't been able to post on these forums for several days due to some weird glitch.

The Animus is part of the story of Assassin's Creed, so no, I do not see it disappearing anytime soon. Nor should it. It gives depth to the in-game world. I enjoy it.

I discovered today when I was doing the Grantebridge arc that I could collect food from twigs on the ground. Later on I realised that the twigs were actually raspberry bushes that vanished when I got closer.

Any way to fix this glitch? I think it started when I was burning down the hamlet with Galinn.

I completed the Leicestershire arc and the characters were talking about how we had counquered the shire. But is the city of Leicester supposed to be saxon still? We "raided" it with Ivarr.

I could loot the stuff but the yellow markers refuses to go away.

@missm16 Tried this. Didn't work. My old saves doesn't exist at all. Poof gone. All of them.

This happened to me as well. Although I lost "only" 15 hours of progress. My gf wanted to try the game, so I saved my progress into manual save number 3. She started a new game and played for a bit and we created a new save for her. Yesterday morning when I started the game only her savefiles existed. I had one savefile left from when I had progressed about 5 hours into the game. So I lost 15 hours. Not fun.

I've also noticed a couple of weird bugs. Most if them I could stomach. Like my axe disapperearing in the middle of a fight and I was using only the shield for some reason. the axe reappeared when I used an ability. The sound disappear every now and then, but comes back if your press square. I managed a workaround for the Seer's solace bug. But this morning I discovered I had lost 15 hours of gameplay coz the game doesn't save properly. My save files were simpy gone. Thing is, last night my gf wanted to try it out, so I saved my progress in "Manual Save 3". She played for an ahour and a half and we saved her progress in "Manual Save 4". She started a new game. This morning when I started the game all my save files were gone, even all the autosaves. "Manual Save 3" was now her save and "Manual Save 4" had vanished. The only save I had left was a save from november 11th and I had played like 5 hours. I've lost several days of gameplay. Great fun.

I'm nervous about playing this game. A game should be an enjoyment, not a cause of stress and frustration. This game is riddled with bugs and is not finished. I cannot fathom how this game got the green light for release. I will not play this game for quite some time and I will not recommend it to anyone.

I have lost 14 hours of progression. Brilliant. How is it possible for savefiles to just vanish? We saved into seperate savefiles. Interestingly enough I have an old save from november 11th left for some magical reason, when I had progressed around 6 hours into the game and is playing as Layla.
