@sneakyagent My CPU starts off at the normal clocks. When I start the game for some reason the game power limit throttles my cpu and it drops it to 800Mhz. It may be something on my end but Valhalla and Odyssey both causes my cpu to take a dump. I can play CP2077 on ultra setting and get 70-80 fps at 1440p. Cod cold war I get 190 fps on max setting. Its just ubisoft games that causes my cpu to be throttled.
@brad_lawther Thanks bro! I can now play without my cpu core speed dropping to 800Mhz. Made my FPS go from 26 fps to 100 fps at 1440p. Thanks again for the info and hopefully they fix this in the next patch.

@zarael1721 Mine is doing the same thing. Dropping the CPU to 800 Mhz. I've tried to adjust settings and the only thing that allowed me to play longer before my cpu core speed drop was adjust the AVX setting to downclock my cpu to 3.2Ghz. That gave me about 15 mins of game time before my fps dropped in to 20s.
@snt-grem I have a dual screen setup. Also had intel extreme tuning turned on and they both showed the same. As soon as the clock speeds drop my FPS drops to around 26fps. I'll use MSI afterburner and see what it shows.
Just wondering if anyone can use CPUID and see if the game is underclocking your cpu when the game is running? I'm just wondering if I'm having the same issue as everyone else or something totally different.

Found out on my issue that my cpu is being power limit throttled. Every Ubisoft game causes this. Other games don't. My TDP will only go to 11w and no higher. I have a i7 8700k at stock settings at the moment.
Does Ubisoft want us all to upgrade to AMD?
This is how bad its playing. Core speed goes to 800Mhz. I know my drivers are not up to the latest. I rolled them back to see if it helped but didn't make any difference. Guess I cut off the FPS but its setting at 26 fps.
I'm having the same issue. I get around average of 22 fps. What I did notice is as soon as I launch the game my cpu core speed drops to 3.7 Ghz. Then once I get in the menus it drops to 800Mhz. The core speeds stay this way even after exiting the game. The only way to get my cpu to operate right again is to restart my pc. This only happens with AC Valhalla. The game is messing with the CPU somehow.
