I absolutely HATE this feature in Ubi games along with the other hand-holding stuff (wallhack, floating x-ray tags, alert clouds, fire alert, grenade alert etc.) All these super powers ruin the game and spoil immersion. As long as we have the menu option to disable this then its all good as I know other gamers like it.
For the rest of us - where is the fun and challenge if you have x-ray vision and can see the enemy through walls?!
Hi Ubi staff,
The forums never remember me. EVERY visit demands:
...even AFTER i have checked the box saying "Remember this device".
It never remembers and I need to input those 3 things EVERY time I come back here.
I have tried multiple browsers (without any extensions) checked cookies etc. Nothing works.
Like I said - it is only an issue on these forums and nowhere else. I was wondering of any other users are seeing this, if they are not then I guess I'm out of luck.
The game is just tedious BS that is buggy, includes too many game mechanisms that DO NOT complement the game, or the seriousness of it's plot and premise.
This.
When the first trailer dropped it has serious undertones. The hardships people face IRL in Cuba and then also Venezuela (which is what the trailer riots reminded me of). Then I saw the villain and he looks great too a tyrant. So I was hopeful that the series was taking a welcome slightly more serious tone.
Yea. Really. Then I saw the first footage of the "rebels" who sound like and dress they were all plucked from a university campus party followed by news of the combat rooster and the other two "companions" and knew it was all downhill from there.
So on one side it is trying to illustrate serious issues like life under a tyrant but on the other its a cartoon when you have the option of fighting with a backpack rocket launcher & a cart-towing dog.
I wish they would give us a Mission Creator (MC) with a Random Mission Generator (RMG) function. It would give the game pretty much an infinite life.
Or
Absolutely inexcusable. How was this feature even designed into the game? To think that we thought FC2 was the last time we saw this kind of nonsense. It ruined that game and its ruining this one. Just why why? Someone in the design team said "Thats a great idea lets make the bad guys respawn as soon as Dani turns away!"
Oddly enough this problem is not there (as others have pointed out) in other Ubi titles like GRBP, AC Odyssey, FC Primal, FC5 etc.
I really hope this gets sorted out quickly. If an enemy in a camp gets dropped they should STAY dropped, until the whole camp is cleared.
But please Ubi - let the bodies of enemies STAY there for that entire gaming session (persistence) which also adds immersion. You should be able to go back to that camp 2 hours later (if in the same game session) and those bodies should STILL be there.
I havent got the game yet but this bullet system sounds so silly. I am gonna just ignore all the other bullets and just get the AP ones.
Even with the other rounds - a direct headshot should be a one-hit kill.
I agree, the takedowns are better in older FCs.
I dont know why they even bother with blood effects when even in an 18 rated game there is no body-damage to enemies. No realistic bullet wounds and no dismemberment when using heavy weapons or boshing the enemy with a machete. So the weapons are pretty much just window dressing, different only in their stats.
This is yet another Airsoft Simulator.
Who remembers the saw-blade launcher in New Dawn? The expectation was that it would slice a leg or arm off the enemy considering that you know its a circular sawblade launched at high velocity.
Nope. Enemy just falls over intact.
@flanker1six I just cannot take the way the "rebels" look and act. Like you said its like they took a wrong turn and thought it was a college after party.
Game cant make up its mind. Shows a serious launch trailer of a country in upheaval with a psycho tyrant brainwashing his son.
However on the other side are these joke characters with cartoon animal "companions" & Just Cause-style weapons like a backpack multiple rocket launcher.
I find many of the characters very interesting, the story telling exceptional and chillingly reflective of the kinds of things that would go down in an authoritative society. It's a subtle story perhaps and doesn't have the craziness of Vass or Min, but at it's core its chilling.
This is what confuses me about this game. When the first trailer dropped it was chilling. The riots echoing the unrest in places like Venezuela - in fact it looked almost exactly like the mass rioting in Caracas. The dictator is very well played (but as with all FC games we see too little of them). So I got the impression that the game was going to feel more serious.
Then came the combat rooster, a crocodile, a cart towing dog, "rebels" that act/look like its a beach party, backpack rocket launchers, insta respawn enemies, dumb enemy AI etc.
In stark contrast to that first trailer. The game cant seem to make up its mind.
It is now a Just Cause 4 expansion to me and I treat it is as such. I really really wish it could have felt more chilling.
We need an "immersive mode" (similar to GR Breakpoint) without these RPG elements where:
I'm not saying remove the above - I'm saying give us a menu item choice. This way both kinds of gamer are happy! Come on Ubisoft it will add such replayability to your games and bring in more buyers.
They have added even more brutal executions than before and I am all about that.
They dont feel brutal to me because there is no dismemberment & decapitation like in other games like Chivalry Medieval Warfare, Assassins Creed Valhalla, Fallout 4 etc.
To my knowledge no Ubi game has REAL TIME slice and dice. Its always "kill cam" or "kill move". Even the violent chop chop moves in ACV are "finisher" presets.
Would be hilarious fun if FC6 let us take off arms & legs in real time!
I agree also. They should look to Rockstar and how well they added FPV to GTA5 in a later update. I wish at least Wildlands and BP had a FPV option for flying and driving. Flying the helicopters in FP would be so much more realistic. 3rd person flying is just horrible and feels like you're controlling a toy drone.
They are done with GRW and GRBP but lets hope we get FP in a future GR
I bought FOUR copies of Wildlands a few weeks ago. One copy for me, and I gifted three copies to friends.
Can I just say how wholesome that is. Well done, what a good gamer friend you are
I hope the multiplayer problems are fixed. I have never tried MP as I dont have gamer buddies but I hope to one day!
@GameGuru2018
I agree that was just terrible the way they remastered those old GTA games. That was such a disastrous move. All the characters look like smooth potatoes.
Those GTAs were on my mind and Its why I made sure I said I wish a game like FC2 could be made again
The FC2 engine actually looks good even today. No match for the latest Unreal of course but with ReShade it can be made to look amazing.
I enjoyed Primal also. I found the Wenja highly annoying though and I liked the others the Udam and Izila more.
Would be great if they made a sequel with a Just Cause sized open world and.....dinosaurs. Also rideable pterodactyls.
FC2 is one of the best games out there. It has its annoying problems (the worst one is insta-respawning enemies & being attacked every 2 seconds) but still a great game.
What I love about it is that there is no hand-holding. There is no HUD with 10,000 icons all over with 20,000 pop up messages (ENEMY NEARBY!, LOOT TREASURE 0/2). Just clean clutter-free screen.
No "tagging", no circus clown magic weapons, no xray vision, no superpowers, no red light appearing on ground warning when a grenade is coming and no cartoon "companion" like attack rooster or two-legged dog towing a cart.
What has FC become
But i guess its what the market wants so it is what it is.
Would be awesome if a game like FC2 could be made again but Ubi wont do it and so we have to look elsewhere for something similar.
@TheNorfolkian
Very impressive, really enjoyed that
I see what you mean - an animation sequence with a random cam position thats triggered for these kill moves. It looks great no doubt!
I am hoping that the next AC will have real-time damage.
Btw I just got Valhalla on sale for $9, look forward to rampaging in it. Dont care for the story and characters just wanna rampage!
@TheNorfolkian
Ohhh these are just animations? I understand now. What a pity. Thanks for explaining!
So there is no real-time slice and dice in the game like in Medieval Warfare II, Fallout 4 etc.
@TheNorfolkian
This looks great. Im going to be getting this game soon and will only get it if theres dismemberment. Can you hack off bits on every strike or is it some "skill" you need that only triggers it 1% of the time?
The king of slice and dice today is Chivalry Medieval Warfare 2.
Excellent news. Surprised it too this long for this toilet concept to get shelved.
But they are not done yet - I have just heard of an incoming *wait for it* Ironman DLC for AC Valhalla
