Everyone in Europe, use your legal and citizen power, do like me, start a ECC report procedure, right now, right here. https://discussions.ubisoft.com/topic/166704/collective-reporting-to-european-consumer-center-for-ubisoft-server-service-misconduct?lang=en-US&_=1660053691862
First step, file a Ticket to Ubisoft, wait 10 max 15 days for a reply and if you deem the results unsatisfactory proceed with
next steps. You can find everything here in case the post is taken down: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/ECCUbisoftreport
Wait 10-15 days. If reply is unsatisactory or none is given, or results do not change the situation in what you, we all need to be, then proceed.
like in family you could not play with your kids and other stuff keeping it very very short add these motivations if you have any. If you are a recent purchaser then even BETTER for the report, but all of us have the same rights so ...
------------------------------------- Done.
We just need 10 -15 reports to ECC if these are 100 or 1000 This will have a HUGE impact, but with 10 I have confirmation from previous events and from staff in the ECC I contacted, this will have outcomes.
If ECC doesn't have any outcome with their friendly way with Ubisoft (PARIS ECC will be receiving all these complaints) then Paris ECC and all national ECC in Europe will file a Agency of Market and Competition message which make this latter operate a heavy fine and force the restablishing of services even if Ubisoft doesn't want to do it.
If you read this too "late" there is no too late. You can do it even 1-2 months from now. But of course if you read this now do it now, start with the Ubisoft ticket message and keep it polite and down to the point.
I will open a new topic for this too, as this message might get lost in the thread. Stop venting and spending your energy here or elsewhere venting stuff... just strike it with the tools that as consumer we have and rarely are used against videogames companies due to low age level of consumerbase or also due to adult misinformation in front of what is possible to do.
Europe has no equals in terms of rights in the market for consumers.
Act now. All will have a positive outcome.
All the companies in the world will know that there are users that are willing to reach to the extrema ratio of law to actually fix problems and contractual disrespect, and in this case mocking thousands (potentially hundreds of thousands) of players... (and interms of online gaming, of millions of players).
If we do not act now we will see the things go worse and worse.
Believe me. I have my contacts and experiences, it works.
The cost of gaming has changed in last 2 decades.
Hiring and keeping talents and general good programmers in your own studio working costs more.
If a company verticalizes like Ubisoft did (it means, in this specific case of ubisoft that was making games only some years ago, to actually also create your own platform for distributing games too, and not letting others - Steam etc. - do the job and rip the taxes from it) sure, it gains more but also costs more especially when you fail a game!
The failure was basically wanted. Desired, it was not an accident. And even if it was, this is the darkest way, to come to a solution to Ubisoft and in general increasing costs companies.
(costs are also sudden like energy: think about energy costs nowadays... Energy companies are raising prices because of habits of living of people have MASSIVELY changed and of consuming too due to the pandemics and also general understanding that climate change is a huge issue, not like lobbies want us to believe).
Game studios electricity costs a lot, HW buying and maintenance and so on... (and these are only two factors of cost increase). Think about tons of direct and indirect costs, fixed and variables, also the corporation of game developers that of course demanded rights to be respected (stuff that was pushed from Journos with an agenda like Kotaku director with personal interests in making game development more financiarized, and less like it was before, because after all there also journos that have hands in the pot, playing like inside trader, knowing that if companies fail to cover costs and break even will have to resort to more financiarization of their daily (typical) economy: using DLC, MTX, NFT and more...
Things have changed, and yes, games are not anymore to have fun and play, immerse, personalize your experience, be in there, enjoy it with others, INTERACT with virtual, with AI and HUMAN (yourself and others).
No, now gaming is dying. Ubisoft is not anymore a videogaming company, they use that title to appeal people and then fall into an addiction spiral. Grinding, farming, MMO (for the sake of it) type of design, that is the death of gaming and game design aimed just at making you use your money to play.
We are going back to a "COIN OP" very low quality Arcade, with the means of modern days, not of the 80-90ties, from where I take the name of coin-op. Today the tools are infinite. First of all abusive communication, constant development of a game pretending it is co-created, or abusing what we produce and suggest instead of inventing it in the studios. Everything is outsourced, as a paradox the game itself is outsourced.
We are at a point where the software is given to us and we (those with a minimal taste remaining) manipulate it because it is simply so raw and so "give us your info and money" that we can't have fun in it. I doubt new generations have the anti-genes to be protected from this HUGE WINTER that is coming.
The fashion world is all about virtual production (they have destroyed entire communities, think about rivers in China and India, think just of the brain washing on Xinjang on cotton harvesters, that PRC great planners say "now have a job").
The fashion sector which is a huge lobby in France and Italy responsible for above 10% of GDP, are all about using the videogames world as a case study. We are going to go virtual, people that will be able to affort a internet connection or have time to use it, or will not be censored, will be using NFT based clothes to dress themselves instead of buying stuff. This is the cyber distopic transition needed in order to save the ability to live and breathe on the planet.
If we keep polluting rivers as we have done, and now we will use on the internet masks, and other stuff, like "skins".
All the dolce and gabbana and other groups new products and concepts are all about "gaming with our lives" if you checked out.
Well I spend a lot of time living but also informing myself and I have access to tons of information so this is the reason why I am sharing all these info and a very complex picture (the reality, the truth) with you. I doubt many can as many of us are still following the compartmentalized way of living and education or do not have time to do this, and I respect it.
Well, getting to the conclusion: I was checking the recent dip of the crypto these days, at a very good web site which is "coinmarketcap". It is great and offers a very good summary at the top of the page showing what are the recent volumes traded, in the total so called "DeFi" markets (NFT, Metaverse and so on are all included and also separable), it tells you also how much of this whole pseudo decentralized thing is actually based on stable coins (which you must know what they are) and which are invented money that are based most of the times on banks that DO NOT OWN those money, they do not have those values, those assets those RESERVES, and anywya they hang it on real FIAT currencies, so actually there is no digital coins what so ever: THE DEFI is HANGED ON REAL STUFF, there is no digital reality besides the "complex" algos and various codes designed that sure are fruit of imagination and power that the digital world has enabled.
Now I am gonna shared what I digged, what I found, by searching at coin market cap .com the word QUARTZ and after a first moment I thought something wasn't leading to the right place I found out who are the people Ubisoft CEO Guillelmot is dealing with and what stuff he has in the head. Well, what to say more? Welcome to Hell.
Stop playing Ubisoft games if you believe videogames of quality still have a future. Stop wasting your time with this trash at least Ubisoft Pseudo Tom Clancy, Pseudo Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
Act against it, or in favor of it, but make your INFORMED CHOICE, stop getting fed smoke, fog, disinformation, censored stuff. STOP THAT AND MAKE THE LEAP! Get informed or you are just a pawn, a servant, a poor miner that will just waste time in nothing helping masterminds getting richer with your unconscious activity.
This is the matrix, put this in your head, we are in it, the more you ignore and live in the bliss, the more you not suffer but the more you help it growing, darker and darker. And it will happen that the darkness will make you part of it, by giving you some of its force, making you feel richer, better... but this is gonna destroy gaming.
Games that use DLC as predetermined removed from DAY 1 content and feed you before to cover the revenue projected by giving to nothing huge prices (it's the case of GRBreakpoint, sold at 9 and then with these "Season" season what?.. like it was a binge watching tv serie!... Season pass at more than 10, it means they are using DLC as a SECOND CHANCE , but most do not understand it nor know why this is so. Second chance means like trying to sell a game a second time to try to cover cost and build the needed revenue, not just reach break even by inventing "new reasons" why the player should bend and put hands to the pocket.
You all, we all are doing this and are killing games.
Now "second chance" is NFT, it will be infinite chance. And I ask you a ground breaking question: Who do you think will ever be interested to make good design, good gaming, invest in tons of good talents or even a few of them, when using DLC, MTX and NFT will grant to make break even indeed without even making a good quality game, with good interesting mechanics, good writing, good pacing, respect of player time, quality interaction, QoL stuff, and so on. Who do you think will care of if (you, so many of you repeat this cliché without even understanding what it means) you all say "games are made to profit".
Who do you think will ever make good games if they know they can resort to DLC, MTX and NFT to actually reach break even?
Nobody.
Personally when I get a GPU, I will play Wildlands in co-op as it was my plan to continue the hardcore immersive campaign, but I doubt I will support this. Unless they completely abandon this, and kick out Guillelmot and other Suit and tie hawks from the Ubisoft group.

It will seem pretty large and wild to understand but these names titles, rules and additional coins and structures are just fruit of imagination, it's nothing really to understand. Think of finance as a human creation, even simpler than maths, maths is a language, finance is simply imagination, it's a big game, and it has no limits.
At stock exchanges people even do investments or protect their business by predicting weather, if it will be good or bad tomorrow (futures), I am sure this is something most of us ignore. There are tons of finance tools, and with the digital world and "defi" this thing has gone on steroids.
Gaming will be butchered by kids that play like the most hawkish finance suit and tie guy or woman. This is already a reality since quite some years.
In those pages you can find this specifically referred to Ubisoft and gaming:

@en075 Hey, yes I get it.
I just have knowledge that art must be remunerated. This is a pillar. That's what I meant. Indeed going to mix with the standard trash of "mOaR cOnTeNt", upload now, addiction to trash generally there is, would just not work for this.
But who made this rule of having to upload regular stuff like we internet creators were TVs got it completely wrong. I could say, we could digress more on this (and anyway it's totally in topic, so useful for the talk here), anyway this standard and "silent rule" of uploading constantly in order to be payed is more like a British custom or maybe a thing invented from TV (which was and still is as old media all are) a way to leash competition: nobody can produce constantly good stuff if there is not a studio behind it. If Patreon itself bases its rules in order for a creator to get remunerated that he\she has to be regularly uploading, then Patreon or such things are instilling the venom of anti-quality and also discrimination.
Not all have chance to grab a studio of people around ones own project. I don't think I don't need to say more.
Art can and should be always remunerated (and somebody could tell me: why don't you start to pay, well I might do that or just even help you in other ways).
There are just totally inhuman levels and abuse of our media and digital tools today and way a lot has been normalized.
Regarding the "official" discord of Ubisoft (which Ubisoft itself told me, we have no control over it, I have been banned, I won't comment because a rule is not to comment moderation decisions also over other web sites... I just explained you in another venue, how that works... it's just extremely sad who is behind these things is left operating without any transparency. Some people piled up on me and just started to beat with clubs and that's enough (in any forum for the mod to actually remove the cause of noise, not trying to understand what is really behind... and this is a general comment... anyway I don't care to be part of such a discord "official" server, but scared to confirm it is so and be responsible, if this is the rule enforced by users. The problems with forums is that at some point power ends up in the hands of users that are not supposed to run the forum\server etc...
Regarding the project, I am sure you have tons of ideas, I know what it feels to be a creative machine, it's painful and self energizing, that fire never sleeps.
No need to thank me, I am just happy to find a cool player. More than that.
Regarding your job and wow other activities, that's pretty much already a lot of work. Even scuba diving and granting security and mental health of people hit by dangers and issues on phone, that's pretty delicate job, I remember how hard was to support a wife that had his husband stuck on ski lift once when I was at a reception... (the guy then was found alive and brought back by emergency snow bikes fortunately despite in an area filled with crevasses, he lost a ski from the lift and wanted to recover it.. but it got dark...) I hope the training will be answering all your needs and sure it will give a bigger perspective, maybe you will run the office, if you don't already do that, despite going up in the ladder removes chance to directly act on stuff. (this goes in the category of leadership talk you have been writing of here and there, in our conversations around this more than "Game-book" you have been creating).
What I can say maybe is that the style of Episode 3 (it's pretty short maybe for your taste) is really what maybe can work better... but who better than you can know this? you have all the stats (in youtube\google studio), after around 1000 views those stats start to become a speaking sample, before those numbers of views it's not really relevant what people will like or not like and behave on the video.
Statistics is a very good field of study to know the basics of (at least), it really gives you autonomy and freedom from stupid stuff that circulates in tv and everywhere nowadays ... but won't digress on this.
The predator thing was a bit "stand alonish" thing, I don't know how much money Ubisoft pays for these cameos, I think they pay enough to destroy the entire production... from the actor that made the Wolf, to Terminator, to Predator etc. 5.11 equipment (maybe pays Ubisoft), anyway... all those investments are really a drop of water in the desert, they won't make any effect, actually damage a quality production I think. So ... doing a predator related set of videos, "get to the chopppaaa"... maybe where at the end you don't even kill the predator, it just stays alive hunting you for the entire serie AHAHAHAH, would in the end make a big service to Ubisoft for this water drop (Predator) in the desert thrown into a game (GRW) of which production I heard was really riddled with issues (Ubisoft almost got close to shutting down the game project), hence you would enhance value of a part that has been left there.
There is a mission there near the forest that is really well fitting with a predator wet setting. That bidonville\harbor ... where a lot of heads could be popped open by the triple laser lad.
One thing I really like in episode 3 but in general in what I saw until now thoroughly 1-2-3, is that you develop the audio compartment as you can do that more easily as it is easy to control it in an episode then in creating a game where barks of NPC or else could just become out of place if they indulged in enriching too much the production. It's no easy task for any game dev studios to do it well especially open world sandboxes.
Anyway... I suggest to keep working on that because when watching videogames or playing (I dnt like really to spend time watching in general, as much as I like writing as u see) and your videos it's also refreshing to see so much dedication to stuff that is not developed much (for many reasons indeed). For example a bad ruined game like Hunt Showdown at least has a cool audio compartment and that makes any game shine. The innovation of the amazing Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice is too amazing and you see all the depth and service one can do with just developing more the audio (that includes not just good music choice and interaction with words or actions of it as u do, as rythm too .. overlapping with avatar deeds, without ever making it too trivial) it can also include just use and expansion of the sounds making them more granular or effective in unleashing a powerful hardcore effect in the watcher\ player mind.
Production cannot make really the sound of a banger be long (unless it's a hardcore game ... infact sometimes banger effect or other stuff is made realistic just by modders that do not operate under PEGI or other marketing rules - a too dark game will not be played by streamers bla bla bla)...
So... in definitive people like you using the full package with no real rules to abide, can really make such experiences shine. (The banger sound at the end of episode 3 could be prolongued until the end of the video as it can signify the UNI forces incoming aggression and "bad times"\suppression on your character)...
Thanks for what you are doing! It's pretty cool. When you got time continue, I really hope you will be able to do an episode per region of Bolivia at least and maybe do something\produce one day when GRB is really "ready" (big word) for what was called release once, also on that game.
Maybe as I am trying to do with NHT, just to start also in future, when I will get a GPU again, to have a light transition or to say better, involvement of GRB as we as NHT will keep focusing our realism\tactical\strategical milsim on GRW anyway as I get active again.
See you soon.
I think the forum will enable the PVT messages later so we can write through that too sometimes, if not in other ways.
Thanks again, pleasure to meet you!
I am not a MOCAP or a game designer so I can't talk of how to do stuff, sure not or why.. maybe speculate on that but not here.
But of the feeling character moves give yes, I can.
Let's do this experiment
Just watch this video from 1:18 and up to 1:44 30 Seconds.
@flanker1six I can add on this one more thing, and anyone who wants to see a casual content on this can watch a maybe 4 years ago video from "Pretty Good Gaming" (UK based) video that features this news\facts quoting EU case studies.
Actually modding isn't piracy, but piracy it is proven that if limited is (as even the Napster case, it's modern day earlyu digital age history) actually helping art to be known and be appreciated.
The video that featured the study ... well I could not find now... well I just discovered that in this grind situation of SMC and corpo greed and things changing in economies and societies also Pretty good gaming got caught and does not exist anymore.
Anyway that co-creation is the future (and ubisoft knows this...even if pretends not to) also this thing on piracy tells it: https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2017/09/eu-study-finds-piracy-doesnt-hurt-game-sales-may-actually-help/: (https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2017/09/eu-study-finds-piracy-doesnt-hurt-game-sales-may-actually-help)
Of course I am not supporting the hard way and criminal piracy: as artists should always be remunerated for their creation. Always bear it in mind. I am just saying stuff that if you have a brain and grain of salt and critical skill, you can understand without jumping onto the inquisitor chair. (just talking in general, not directed at anyone - it's just that these trolling inquisitors I am sure you all know, are nowadays everywhere...).
Ever heard "steal this book", "Steal this cd" written from some artists on their creations? well this connects to the whole thing of "negativity" which is also nowadays used at irresponsible levels to engage people in the role of spreading something and make it become big. The thing that came out with Haugen case, tells to the masses this thing which is known from insiders and people who study and read, since not just decades, but much more : negativity engages people deeper.
Another proof? Passionate people do engage in helping a franchise, a company, despite one lowers the bar of its software status and deems it releasable when it's not ready...
Steam Games? The more they allow negativity to spread the more people will write and so on... and they can data extract every single word and content uploaded on their plaftorm, (alla billions of dollars sold).
In the end what Ubisoft will do with this here?
I think that they will take this and embed it in a future update, and finally have the real immersive mode. It will be just like the "Animus control panel" for immersive mode. It will override all the unready for release stuff they gave players. May you all be blessed for having played the game despite all these deficits it had.
The ACP here:
I did not checked if anyone posted this article from actual Ubisoft:
https://news.ubisoft.com/en-us/article/kujZ0Njdh6cojf6rzlEN0/ubisofts-vision-for-blockchain
It was published on Ubisoft official web site on December 3rd.
What to say? We ignore maybe what is NFT potential, but I do not see why they should do this when GRB still has to be a game.
This is a alpha version, and they want to install this decentralized "co-creative" system? I surely ignore, I do not hide that... we humans fear new things, it's normal.
But why not respecting first of all game development and players as a FIRST PILLAR?
They care for co-creation? Really? why they haven't listented to at least 1 2 3 ideas we had for making the military simulation experience shine?
The mod that came out should be remunerated. Who will remunerate it? Ubisoft? I think we shall remunerate the maker\s of the mod. Not just with a Nexus "good uploader" reward.
I copy paste my thoughts posted on Steam activity yesterday:
(...) They are pushing decentralization. They speak of gatekeeping (a gatekeeping we would be able to do with the NFTs as this system develops), and I want to say that it just defeats what they are talking about, what they are supporting.
They can't even gatekeep their talents, they can't gatekeep quality of their game design and the good tradition of their brands (see GR, see AC, which could have just kept on offering good writing, good mechanics, deeper stuff, or however not worse than before).
And then they tell us they can gatekeep and help us getting remunerated for the co-created stuff we generate.
Sure, gaming is all about and will be all about (like cities, politics, economy) co-creation, but hey, they can't even do well their core business "for some reasons", and they now throw it all into "decentralize" for the good of all.
Hell no. Hell no Ubisoft. Hell no Yves Guillelmot.
IMPORTANT: let me add something that is not an all out critique to Ubisoft which, I know, I am too often all about.
If we read further in the article there is a clear interest of Ubisoft in trying to influence the block chain towards the POS, and not POW, apparently. This means they are seeing the fall, I believe, despite all say the industry is growing,it's booming, I think the game consumption at least on PC is not so healthy.
If the demand for GPU is all based on mining, I think sooner or later PC development will feel it.
besides all the backlash there has been on this "decentralized - co creative gaming world" they wrote on December 3rd that they aim to use "clean" NFT and more.
But sincerely... how can gaming be about earning money.
Can please they state: "We can't do anymore games as we used to do before" , it's too expensive for us, we have become too big etc..
However my critical standpoint remains, they need to fix their core activities, they can't go all about co-creation. Sure let us mod games etc and get payed for what we create, but I don't care about getting payed. Gaming cannot become about money. I am worried of this transoformation of gaming into an all around "creative" job...
I also do strive to create immersive experiences, but getting payed? Who is going to pay me? Why should I get payed, the reward is in spending time with friends. What the hell... quality time with friends.
The "play to earn" and ... rest, to me is scary. Well who doesn't want to live off of gaming, maybe not us all, I would like to do else in my life, but I also think this concept can really be dangerous for what games will be.
Already microtransactions destroy games as they inject\install in their systems stuff that wouldn't be there and would be offered in a more immersive and handcrafted manner by devs if MTX weren't there, now also this? I think this can be really a threat.
What I maybe don't see is that good games, for Ubisoft have now become impossible to do. So to stay on surface, instead of doing the good development cycle, they want to put in our hands the power (actually the responsibility) to make the gaming experience be good. Why these big companies do not restructure completely what they are instead to go FINANCE MODE ON?
The entire world is becoming co-creation and will be all about this, no doubt, but why gaming cannot be just gaming? I need to understand quite some more stuff to get a grip on these topics... I know some people that know more who are insiders of game design and talk of these topics every week in public.
I feel that Ubisoft wants to do this because they own with their mega corp shape tons of brands and they are interested in doing this cross-media, cross-games stuff that they have tried in last years more and more.
I think they want to bring us where they want to go, this is something that makes me even more suspicious...
WHy can't they just keep doing good games? as they used to do 5+ years ago ?
This idea of the Multiverse (Meta launched), which is connected to NFT like hard connected is just wrong to me. Multiverse is bad, and Ian Bogost explains very well why.
(this distopic idea of cyberpunk ubiquity isn't a healthy one...)
Do you want to be spied all day long?
DO you want to be data extracted all day long and not remunerated for all those data you give and other sell to profile you? Well you are already.
Why the hell they think we want to become just like (MATRIX movie) human batteries of their mega corporations? We are really going to become batteries I think if people do not study and wake up.
@illyriuswarrior Yeah, regarding drones, actually GRW does have a detection radius of enemy .. i dnt know how silly is the GRB game but as far as I see it was an alpha thrown there, and I do not understand why we are here really, instead to focus on GRW and improvbe it.. since we could have so much fun there. And we would be giving such a stronger signal, also because there is no big fantasy there no Super sayan\ Power ranger enemy skins which instead GRB is filled with... from the Bodarks to much more unrealistic stuff no story.
It's great to see how many names of different users\players have come here from everywhere... to write something. This is a very resourceful and cool community, I just hope we can put our effort on quality stuff instead to spend time with things that suck all the energy but stay procedural lackluster.
So far I loved what I read from y'all, like really all... everyhwere in the forums, sharing ideas on how to immerse, more do alternative stories more believable approaches to the game and so on... all suggestions and interpretations that just enhanche or even change my perspective sometimes on how to live a game or another and improve ultimately the experience of the player. I love this sort of immersive lab a community can be.
Regarding game bugs, for GRB we must create bugs pages to report stuff so the live teams of maintenance can go in map spots for exmaple and close the "infinite fall" locations (to say one).
@RedicanPrime This approach is what cleared Shadow of War (from MTXs) which was a "success of 100 Gb" after the great innovation of the Nemesys system unfortunately few have spoken about of... (launched in SoM 2015)
Many players protested and WB decided to remove the MTX and all the connections to the mechanics that SoW had.
I will never get tired to remind everyone passing here that it's not important if you buy or not MTX, MTX are made and they are a cost, like breathing is a cost for your body and will require a chemical reaction which needs vitamines and muscle work, to make just a basic example, the same is MTX design, MTX pitching to application and boosting or nerfing them and so on.
Game developers need to thing outcomes and make them happen and be fun.
Who says "do not buy them, but let em be" is an outrageous Ignorant and a corrupted thug, not a player, just an ignorant speaking of stuff he\she ignores. (a typical sport nowadays).
MTX will take forces away from game design and will push more the Casino gambling and sticker collection mindset design
MTX will freeze and sterilize a game mechanics, interactions and flatten the entire experience and dumb a "game" down to become a non game. Just a casino TRASH EXPERIENCE dead, without soul.
If you are a MTX addicted person or ignorance addicted, go get help. I say this to anyone that blandly opposes or doesn't understand what RedicanPrime correctly says. We should actually put limits and fix poles on the ground, It's a nothing or everything battle. One of the few that come...
This model of games and business has nothing to do with games as we know. It's more a mobile game experience... actually some mobile games are even deeper than this.
Not just Ubisoft but many others have taken a very dangerous road.
Earning while gaming can be ok, but via NFT and art? What? Let us use the video, let us perform, let us do it traditionally (even Streaming has damaged gaming, but not gonna start on this too).
Still earning while gaming takes away the meaning of gaming: an activity without purpose but the learning of everything... discovery of your own self throught the living in alternative words, in other people shoes etc...
The Crypto currencies have very strong potential but right now we are strongly illiterated, we are at the beginning. and the powerful Ethereum system (enabling tons of potential contracts and uses is still unknwon to most of us)
we don't know how to use this stuff... not even game developers do.
Jumping like madman into this is just sort of Golden rush into something putting at risk an entire Gaming tradition and the core of art, mechanics, interaction, passionate design, risking creativity to be souless, risking everything.
Why The management doesn't get this? Because it's managed by finance suits, that just don't play games, oh yes, they play games with capitals and people. These reckless managers running the show have Turbo capitalist mindsets and cut throath attitude typical of those who practice turbocapitalism...
Enough is enough.
@en075 Wow. A dream. I always believed there was light in the end. And there it is.
This is deep.
I can't hide I had to skip it, as it's 5 am now here...trying to avoid ending spoilers and I just made it land immediately in my watch lat... soon videos on yt. (with subscription too but this is too cliché and feels like I am a bot. No, instead, is it possible to know you or know more?).
And since I saw it's ep2 I think i must check chapter 1 of this before going through this.
I maybe would make the reading much slower and less filled with a thick narrative like this, slower just like the clouds in Bolivia or the cranes in Montuyoc...
I am sure you got plenty of riches from your story board ... anyway the Kerouac style is interesting anyway... or Joyce, like a sort of flux of conscience at times really feels. (like my posts... i can't really write).
I was at first confused, then I understood it's a book and you are somehow like a Game writer, you are. And the photography slower. I don't know I can't speak of this as you are the expert, there sort of Kerouac of Bolivia. I loved the mid part ... wow that was "oppressive" suffocating.
Lot of work in general, but can't talk of this haven't seen it from start to finish, I would love to share later when I do Ep1 or else.
What I would make and started once to play the game with parallel to our gameplay to have a second "ghost mode" save was to use the DyinEarth costume and play just during the day (night no NVG since Dying earth is a costume and they don't allow customization) and play as a Biker. Oneof the cool thing would be playing the game as a biker team... hell yea...of course just 5th SFG ppl under cover... ehehe.
I would really like to meet you and learn more.
I wish I knew english\american like this and start a game writing career, what a dream I just saw.
I created in 2019 NHT - no HUD team
and we started with this game GRW and to play it with an immersive take, flashing out the canon story with the discord server used in part as an HQ of an imaginary 5th SFG, just replicating what happens and in briefing creating some NPC ID\stories but nothing crazy besides the mission briefings....
I have to confess in my deepest skin layers lies a creative hornet like you, but wow, you know how to use that sting!...
What you created is a pretty engaging video-book narrative experience and ... i just wanna go for ep1 now and 2.
I feel like being in those brain memories, you feel like in the mind of the character as his thoughts overlap, reshuffle, mix, alternate, fight each other etc...
I want to share something I discovered 1 month ago, it's these guys from TFN (Task force neptune I randomy l found, like you surfing the fabolous internet, and that have right the style I like to play the game with, with our NHT small crew too. "Realism milsim" it is.
They have some creative stuff but the comms traffic, it is amazingly done especially in "Operation Phantom". Won't post it here for respect. But who knows you can get some inspiration from those videos that dusty posted.
Meet you soon.
Ciao!
@Jord-NL I sincerely suggest to do as I did, just open a ticket (yes it s around 3 years that in support they limit with TONS OF EXCUSES on what topic u can send in a support request: and well I did manage today to go around that block) and even if it tells you you can't , just use as matter of the ticked a "LOGIN issue" (which is not wrong per se) and just send them in (of course u can also select Ghost Recon Wildlands in the first field), show them we care show them we freaking need them to wake up. (write that freaking respectful but tell them all you need to say.
THE MONEY IS OUR MONEY.
1 year ago I even bought the Pass to get the JPC vest and the mayflower, just for that.. and I guess they got the money. I did it just to push higher level the immersion and role playing in the campaign... I am trying to run, and this is what we get? I really hope they are just moving the servers.
Ah @EN075 , also make clear this: when we buy something the description of the items is never clear at Ubisoft, they never tell really what you get with a DLC, it's just crazy that a company cannot CLEARLYT state what are you getting (I understand every country might get limitation and different items due to "rating systems" depending on that silly American censorship or other there are around the world, like in Korea) and thus Ubisoft sells DLCs without even stating clearly what you get: if this is normal then I am father christmas.
Just consider this: I went to ookla to make some tests as in these days weather here has probably took a toll on the lines or problably some tree is touching the line which is not cabled in the road but air type. And so this creates issues (trees should never rub even slightly to the line cable)... and guess what Oookla (and this is not Ad-commercial related: as I use hyper privacy modified system sot browse online, so much I don't see since 2015 commercials on Internet targeted on what I do, as sites and services have a bad time at pinging me and how I move mouse and so on... as you all instead mostly do also on mobile destroying your brains ) - u can learn it on "privacytools.io"
And well.. guess what? Even Ookla reports of the biggest outage system is GHOST RECON! AHHAHA
THIS IS EPIC FAIL LITERALLY!
However also consider there are storms now due to what we do to the planet in USA, China East, India Industrial areas and with the wars, and this brings just acceleration to the degradation of the climate. These powerful events can damage lines and servers and these events of "force majeure" can really happen and hit servers.
I have issues on PUBG ping, I have issues on Hunt Showdown,... since 5 days and intermittent.
Storms indeed appear and just disappear and also wind.. is all intermittent and now everyday and never seen an August with storms and water falling. It's really strange.
It's like summer was anticipated and also prolongation of 2 months starting with "March end, April May June July"
Go on downdetector and do report it you too please:
https://downdetector.com/status/ghost-recon/: (https://downdetector.com/status/ghost-recon)
Ubisoft is "actually" answering over there or it's a fake.. I don't know, maybe it's a CLandestine operation by CD Projekt red to actually retaliate over the negativity and other clandestine operation that Ubisoft did against them before CP77 launch... who knows?
I am just overthinking too much in the warfare of Bolivia mindset...
If u know my creativity u gonna have fun... in Bolivia and beyond
@GiveMeTactical OM*******G...
Now again, this story of necroposting. Please give me a break with this populism.
Creating new topics isn't a good thing for environment and also brakes the content added by others as multiplies the sources and makes impossible for new players to consult the library of the "dejavu" of the already said, and makes memory impossible, educating users of internet to be "smoking lotus".
Let ONE TOPIC to be one and last forever or anyway not ultra open tons of topics on the same thing only because a purist approach of this never really meaningful rule of "necroposting" was created by someone in the 2000.
Internet is made to make all having access easily to something.
Sure regarding the section of the forum I agree, I just saw something that was here and posted. --- I just noticed now that it's not about FAR CRY here, sorry!
Regarding the exaggerated "police" desire to harass users that are totally in good faith... again, GIVE ME A ***** Brake.
Has anyone tried the "Time multiplier" in order to create a realistic time cycle or a more realistic one with the CT version?
Since I can't find realism simulation players and generally tactical team mates have all their own time schedules or they don't really play in a realistic way, I believe I will play this alone finishing the rest of it by myself with the AI as a rebel trainer...
And I wanted to be sure that the "no minimap fix" in the CT version wasn't going to damage the NO HUD realistic experience I do play in.
Can anyone explain how does the time multiplier works and also what is the no minimap fix absence in the CT version.
Thanks
@EN075 No it's because nobody reports you in order to get you on mods notification and then they take down the notification by giving in to the reports that some pack of wolves piling up look to happen by harassing whoever they do not like.
Yes I agree with your thought anyway of how protests and things work (the concept of multiple perspectives we can call it).
So is GRW still having big issues?
Anyway I lost all the hope to find "machinima- tactical and strategical approach realism" players so I will just play it alone with my AI 3 members (unless Ubisoft status and technical issues will block me from completing the game) crew and the rebel as a rebel trainer... and shift to a "our task force has been restructured"...
Unfortunately most players today imagine playing as a one shot or few mission experience, not a story and long time interaction with a friend with a similar or same mindset.
Really? Is Far Cry 5 imposing silly tracers...? Speaking about mods is not allowed on the forums as far as I know, I got banned for 1 month for talking about it (unless it was just an excuse to limit me talking or someone reporting it for trolling me)
however it would be cool to know if tracers could be removed from FC5.
Another great way to check the status of servers etc: is to go on your team mate and check if the info are loading, it usually takes several minutes, or actually never loads them... But it's at least 3+ minutes which is a huge time. From when you get to menu splash screen and then press into the lobby a friend or person you wanna check the info (WHICH SOMEONE HAS ALREADY REMINDED: have been deleted flushed which is a SHAME!!) it takes several minutes before they load.
This is an example, after 5 minutes waiting, the info message that I never had before, this is a friend profile
Shame on you Ubisoft.
Good summary from @EN075 of the DIY approach. A very similar mindset I take when approaching such things.
Anyway One needs to be rich (time) to actually be able to wait and have friends that can wait with you. Lucky you. I hope all can have such richness. It should be evident to all that this kind of company behavior Ubisoft is having is actually damaging also our activities and our projects... I am not exaggerating. If you had a company created around a game or could have one, Ubisoft is undermining through disservices, the effort, sometime also a history of efforts!
The damage is clear, and palpable.
I am recently trying breakpoint to set up for a GRW+GRB experience, however I got a grasp on how that game was designed. It is basically (no offense) a console, no worse, an arcade system like a coin-op experience. You enter and you need to get online with servers, then also the structure, just resets your positions teleporting you to "standard" locations: let's say you go to Ghost War, then you come back you are teleported to La Cueva E1, you are not back to where you were, it's incredible. And there are tons of "short cut" Alpha-test level experiences. (I have spent several hours before playing it and also now to arrange a way to actually make it realistic and imemrsive and I shared this in part in some posts and a topic last night I opened in the GRB Community creations forums - will probably share also a guide on Steam...as much as it can interest anyone. GRB Ghost war is not that bad too if played no HUD it's amazing, you just need people to share a same mimetism and it's gonna be great (if Ubisoft imposed a mimetism like America's Army did with US Army and Opfor automatically) the game would be just amazing... The lack of taste piles up with the many players lack of taste and you get an Arlecchino Mess that has no head no tail, a sad experience adding up to players that can't even use a microphone... or if do are generally agressive...and immature... what a mess. Only people I fond cooperating are women players
Going back to GRW, yes the game had issues, I repeat, during development: the release wasn't easy to achieve. I heard from a friend of mine that the company risked to not release the game as the first teams dropped or faced developers leaving or other issues arrived, so the transition of the first development phase to "a hypotetical" second phase had different people running and guiding the GRW development to its release. It's basically a miracle GRW is a game.
Yes the "mode" entering and then force to get out is a pain, especially if one doesn't have NVME drives or very bad SSD archives.
But if one has a good PC loading is very fast. Surely the open world which is also all accessible and alive, might pose a serious burden on PCs or servers, and considering the player peak was maximum 45k, and I ignore how many owners of GRW exist but console has at least 2mln https://n4g.com/news/2045108/ghost-recon-wildlands-sells-an-estimated-1-62-million-units-first-week-at-retail
Considering also PC owners minimum it's other 2Mlns...
We are talking of an audience of MINIMUM 5 mln users.
Potentially active less than 1 mln but I mean it's 5 maybe 6 mlns sales not considering the MLNS single purcahses of DLCs+ Stupids that buy MTX stuff... (yes you are all stupids supporting a scheme that will corrode the entire market towards dumb games, and I know in Canada it is an offense, but it shouldn't be, who ever me or anyone buys "Games as a service thing which includes GRW an GRB or Hunt Showdown and many others games and falls into "skin purchasing" instead to requesting being them inside the game available, unlocked by story, progression, mechnaics, success in playing, well then you are destroying game world!)
So going back to rational stuff that nobody finds offensive: it's above 5 mln people that own the game and after 5 years, whatever EULA, or sub standard location you are in (I understand not all are lucky enough to be in Europe where consumer rights - and other things - are UNDOUBTLY better than other places where unsustainable Corporate slavery dominates... sorry American continent, sorry Asia, Sorry Africa, and Australia, we are trying to do something about the world Burning down, can you help?!)
any way UBISOFT MUST RESPECT those over 5 mlns and other 10 mlns single purchases of MTX, DLCS and records...
The money they got are beyond the necessary needed to run servers and maintenance for decades.
Next time you give money for MTX /you are corrupting the entire world of games like this transitioning into a casino brain less economy everything and a shopping experience without meaning\ then let's ask ourselves: WHAT IS THE COMPANY DOING WITH THESE MONEY?
This is beyond incredible.
Raise your hand and write a support ticket and then use your local civil law to bring Ubisoft to the court if the Agency for Competition and Market will consider Ubisoft not having responded yet to the disservices accordingly.
This is a serious matter, involve European Competition Centers and bring this stuff to the end. Ok vacations, but you can still have a turn over and bring some people to work on this and then give them vacations later maybe?
Can the project managers at GHOST RECON, actually manage the vacations turns in a way that people at maintenance can cover any problem without issues? Have this been a Hacker attack?
I don't know...
It's well over 5mln people that own this game. This is incredible...
EDIT: This was a huge super mega Merging by Ubi-Milky, sexy move!
A couple Paula Madeira missions
Could u please name precisely which one are the Madera missions that are really worth it ? from a point of view of quality design, I guess that is also a common interest you have with me.
thanks
This is the history of Wildlands, today if they don't get adults and kiddos addicted to collectibles and other trash pathologies, into a 1-2mln games they won't be happy at these companies. They want block busters... They don't care for quality, they don't know that often quality especially on established games like this license can bring millions of players to buy and play it.
They have no idea what is ghost recon...
There are maybe 2-3-4 millions players who could play it.. They think they are just a few thousands.
And even if they are a thousands.. that is not enough for them...
https://steamcharts.com/app/460930#All: (https://steamcharts.com/app/460930#All)
Yes.. they are crippling it on purpose, they are shutting down what they consider a cost.
https://steamcharts.com/app/460930: (https://steamcharts.com/app/460930) The impact can be already seen.
@DystceBtwen They won't unless you force them to. It's a game producer not a developer for real, they hire other companies to actually do the Stuff, the magic. So you better use the civil law tools we have in Europe or around the world to make Authorities know what this, a company, is doing.
Check this for example... https://discussions.ubisoft.com/topic/166704/collective-reporting-to-european-consumer-center-for-ubisoft-server-service-misconduct?lang=en-US&_=1660053691862
@krazymagic Also the stats have been all deleted. It's a real dishonest and dishonorable shame.
Use this topic, however posts in forums do not do anything especially in forums of the same company that is indicted for the disservices!
