There are so many things to fix that I am not seeing any improvement coming any time soon.
At this point the easiest solution would be to put these fishes on vendors for 100 silver so we can finish our fishing requests and get our rewards.
Audio mixing is all over the place. Mainly I find the audio related to the main character very loud, be it voice over and noise that you make.
That wouldn't be much of an issue since you could just lower your volume but a lot of voices are actually lower than yours, which already makes most dialogues quite unpleasing to follow.
My first impression of the game was really bad, that was the voice of child Eivor that had a lot of echo (I mean like recorded in a big empty room). They said that COVID didn't really impact the development of the game but I feel like it had its toll on voice recording which doesn't seem to have happened in a professional environment.
@phoenixmoss Or be mindful what you break and you won't burn anything.
Sure if you step in sweeping your greatsword around...
Thanks for the free gift...
If only I could get it instead of an Online Service Error. "You already have the maximum amount possible for this item. [0x70000d03]"
I don't know which items. Maybe the tattoos and the decorations that I already bought with the Yule coins during the Festival.
Also the Mōdraniht set that I bought during the festival disappeared. So not only I can't get the Altair outfit but I lost items in the process.
And once again so called "influencers" get early access while the pleb (you know, those who actually pay for the game) gets to wait.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla - Title Update 1.0.4
World
Fish in Norway will now spawn in bad weather. Yeah, we had to read this one twice too.
Gameplay, Combat, AI
Improved fish-reeling behavior.
It has been bugging me for 2 weeks and I hoped that it would be fixed along the way with these but it seems that sea fishes in England are still bugged.
First, they simply despawn after a while, as in while you are reeling your fish just disappears, there's nothing anymore at the end of your line. And worse, there's no more fishes in the water. It doesn't happen in rivers and lakes, only in seas.
Secondly, their behaviour is odd at times where they don't care about player input. More than once I had fishes going under my boat (whatever the boat), your character doesn't even turn on themselves to keep facing it and the fish just swims away and away and away. Once again, it doesn't happen in rivers and lakes, only in seas.
So there's this woman in Fornburg asking for 3 reindeer antlers.
HOW ABOUT YOU MAKE THEIR DROP RATE 100%?
I have been at it for 1 hour, 1 *~#$%£ hour! And the last antler just won't drop. Been kinda lucky with the first couple, despite the need to save [censored] but at least they dropped their antler after the third kill or so. I have been save scumming various reindeers here and there for 1 *~#$%£ hour and none of them will drop their antler.
What the hell is this CRAP?
Dear Ubisoft, are you that dense that every week you will ask us to complete the most idiotic challenges with the most insane goal?
Last week was 1 million drinking games, I think we barely hit half of that. This week is 1 million dice games. Who in their right mind is going to grind the hell of these mini-games for 10 measly opals?! Well in case you didn't notice, here's the answer: no one. At least the drinking games can give you money but once you have acquired the piece from each dice player, there's no reason to play it again over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over to help the community reach 1 million games.
Hell even for 100 opals I'm not sure anyone would bother.
Weeks ago I said you DID NOT want us to earn 120 opals a week to at least get the middle weekly deal. Prove me wrong.
@funbagsofsatan Feeling cool having early access and bragging about it?
And to anyone trying to complete this... don't bother! The reward is simply not worth it.
40 silver and a tip to find a great deer that I already had killed.
I am done with Valhalla even though I bought the Ultimate Edition and DLCs are coming. Uninstalled it, not looking back and last Ubisoft game I am spending money on.
I have played the game since launch in november, completed it almost 100% (minus the fishes that were no where to be found), never had a crash. Then came the "Christmas event" that totally broke my game with crashes every 5 minutes. It has never been correctly addressed in each of the following updates.
I. Am. Done.
People have been mocking Cyberpunk 2077 but in reality Valhalla is as much a disaster of a game.
@hidden1ne It was only luck. I tried to get the gift from the main menu before actually loading my save. And I still got the online error.
@girlwood1 Oh, that would be the reason why I got all these mats as well. I Thought they were an untold part of the gift but now that makes sense if the Mōdraniht gear was dismantled.

Fishing doesn't even work, some fishes don't spawn at all... and you want them to create challenges around that. Please stop giving them ideas, these challenges are already bad enough.

Seems like I am alone with this issue...pretty strange!
I have to look at my setup then...
No it is not just you.
Granted I don't have the hottest PC, since launch my GTX 1080 had been able to handle the game in Very High just fine. Never had a problem, except the flashes in cutscenes that came along with the Yule festival in december (something that they don't even care about).
Now, since the very same day River Raids dropped, my game has been crashing every 5 minutes, I had to lower my settings to frickin LOW in order to complete my raids. My drivers are up to date, nothing has changed on my machine. The only thing that changed is the game had an update. I see a clear correlation.
Maybe I am mistaken but from what I understood a river alert decreases by one level whenever you raid a different one which leads to a river to completely reset when you have raided 2 other rivers.
It means that you need access to the 3rd one ASAP.
It has been pretty much my priority and I have been able to have a rotation between each of the 3 rivers from the start. Never had an issue with locations not resetting.
