Your post was basically all critical and yet after 100 hours you don’t know if it’s good or bad? What is a fun thing you mentioned the game having? When you don’t want them to listen to a vocal minority, should they pay attention to your post?
I’m not even agreeing or disagreeing with any of your comments, I’m still hung up on the 100 hours into something you seem to heavily dislike based upon your post. What kept you playing past say hour 20, 40, 57? At some point you know how the game is. Just genuinely curious.

This. Took me some restraint to not spend all my points and get the cool skills sooner but limiting myself to stay close to recommended power level has made it better overall. That and I don’t worry about the best gear or matching sets to my favored skill tree, I just pick what I like looks of or bonus on. Wearing pieces of 3 sets right now.

I prefer it. Especially since we don’t have a level scaling option yet. I hate the skill tree fog as it’s just an annoyance but I like having to currently plan a little more to get what I want. Several skills I want are in different trees so I prioritize and get a little of this or that. Maybe when I’m power 200 or something and I can get all I want it’ll be dumb but I enjoy it now. I play unarmed so without benefit of weapons and runes the slightest bit of help is welcome. Biggest thing I don’t do is stress over it. I pick a major skill I want and go for it, regardless of the little pickups along the way.

Do you personally believe that treating the male as female, as you mentioned is big issue, is intentional or just missed in QA or sloppy coding? I think it’s just oversight or missed and will be corrected eventually. This game, in addition to others like Cyberpunk, has several items to be made better/fixed so I don’t let that type of issue get to me, even if it is obvious or immersion breaking (which it isn’t to me as it’s very minor and short compared to all the correct times).

You said you avoid for a year due to state of game at launch. That is your choice. Your reward will be playing it hopefully less buggy. This type of event and rewards is not uncommon in games or unfair to future players. I have my game play on hold for other reasons but I do plan to simply login and do the basics necessary to collect the rewards. Which may or may not be worth it. Hopefully they are advertised in advance.

I’m enjoying it. It has its flaws but I’ve encountered no game breaking bugs. I’ll finish it then come back after all the dlc has been released.

Hi. I can’t find the raven clan helmet. I have the other 4 pieces. I’ve researched the starting island. I’m afraid to leave the island before having it. A article on google said the first main guy you fight drops it but if so, I didn’t get it from him. Anyone help me find it? If it’s not on 1st island that’s all I need to know. Thanks.

Thanks for clearing that up. I hadn’t played Odyssey in awhile so wasn’t clear. I’m all for customization but keeping appearance options. Since they said you can go entire game with a weapon we like, a big reason could be how it looks.

I’ve been gaming about 40 years. I can remember lots of games that I personally played which I encountered more bugs during launch and after initial patches. Doesn’t mean this game doesn’t have them, just individual experience. I’ve encountered zero game breaking bugs and only 1 glitch which I laughed at. I find the game ok overall, some good and some bad aspects. One of your other posts says you’ve quit so enjoy your other games.

In the past few games we had animals like hippos and sharks. Anything in the rivers in this one?

Hi. Is there any way to upgrade the hidden blade like you can other weapons? I like using it to stab enemies in the gut but without upgrades or being able to equip it with runes it seems to fall behind. This is being used with an empty off hand and holding the button down. I don’t care about stealth damage. Thanks.

well, continue should be fine. Atleast was for me. I should have just said make sure you are in a game and then check the options. Definitely missing if I am not in game. Good luck.

On my pc, you have to be in a game and then go to options and gameplay to get the stealth difficulty option. If I just start Valhalla and go options it won’t be there. Try loading a saved game first. Works for me anyways.

agreed. Hopefully they improve these things sooner than later. I’ve put the game on hold till next patch comes out (rumor is this week) for other gameplay reasons I’m optimistic get tweaked/fixed.

I completely agree on the hairstyles. I keep hoping I’ll unlock some better ones for her. Personally it’s her voice I can’t stand most. I alternate between both characters trying to find the one I am annoyed at least (male has some weird expressions/stances I don’t like). Maybe because I switch between the two the incorrect gender references don’t bother me since I can’t remain committed. I play a female %100 of the time in games when I can so disappointing this game has turned me from that.
