I wanted to wait a while before making this thread, and as I have had more experience with the game I would like to make a few concerns of mine known about the game. Before I get into it, I would like to say firstly that a game which has you play as a Scandinavian Viking should contain hostility toward the Christians, as that is historically accurate. However, this game unfortunately goes above and beyond a moderate stance on the historicity and greatly adopts and anti-Christian stance in itself.

There are certain elements to the game which are designed to mock Christianity which do not respect their position at this time in history such as:

1. Many of the crosses are actually upside-down. This can be seen by adjusting the in-game camera to the height of the crosses. Some are perfectly fine, others are not.
2. Monks often speak sarcastically in Latin, of which one can tell that it doesn't have to do with praising God. For instance, one of the things that the monks say is that the apostles were deceived. I do not know Latin, and so I could only translate a few words at a time, however it becomes obvious that they are not saying good things.
3. Some of the monks have "666" inscribed on the back of their robes. This can be seen using the in-game camera.
4. The monks have an improper, ugly looking tonsure which no monk would have had in the medieval era.
5. In Buckinghamshire specifically, a monk is often seen next to the church making out with a woman, an action that never would have been public, and never tolerated in public. Monks have a sacred duty to God, and with that duty is the seal of celibacy. If a monk were to break that oath by having relations or having a girlfriend, that would be between the monk and his God. There is no reason to tout this image of obscenity as the norm in the game when that is a grave misrepresentation of religious.
6. There isn't a positive portrayal of Christians to be found within the game, or at least if there is, it's minuscule.
7. The altars in the game are unnecessarily messy and often have items on them that do not belong.
8. The comment made by one of the Viking raiders during the monastery raids "Kill Christ and Burn his house down!" is entirely unnecessary. Hostility of the Vikings against the Christians is to be expected, however this goes a step too far.

With sincerity I ask that in future installments, care be taken to diligently implement respectful content with regards to all sides of the story. I do not ask that raids of churches not happen. I do not ask that the Christian side by upheld as the only good side. I only ask that the Christian side not be demonized in the future.

A final suggestion: As a side-note, I think it would have been great to create a Christian story-line as well as the Viking story-line fighting against the Order of the Ancients and each-other, while giving a balanced view of each. There could be righteous Christians who are slaughtered by the Vikings, and good Vikings who are slaughtered by the Christians and so forth, instead of a one-sided story.
