many people have reported that it's related to Ubisoft Connect. solutions involve disabling cloud save synchronization and run the game offline. another option was to go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Assassin's Creed Valhalla, right click on the file and go to properties. click on the Compatibility tab and DISABLE full screen optimization.

I wanted to start my campaign over and I cleaned out my saved game folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames. How do I stop the game from using cloud saves? I want my hard copy saves. Now everytime I try to start the game, I keep getting "Failed to Synchronize Cloud Saves" and it doesn't download the save files to my directory when I close the game. Now all I have are save files in the cloud. How do for download to my system?

@k9davis24 this happens when you load a saved game after you've already picked up one up. ya totally lame.
