If I load an old save (before I went offline), the event will trigger again, but I'm not going to keep playing from the old save or I would lose 20 hrs of play. So that's not happening.

My internet went down, and uconnect went offline. When that happened, the Yule event in my game "expired" and ended. When I went back online, the even refuses to come back. Now I can not complete it.

@kwizatchz There's no cockiness. I've helped over 50 people clear this bug. While it is a very annoying bug, it's not game breaking. If you don't want my help, then fine, you can just live with it until Ubisoft fixes it.

@fractal009 This bug is easily fixed. Just remove all the gear that you had when you got the bug. Then put on DIFFERENT gear. Then put your original gear back on, and poof, the issue goes away. In the grand scheme of bugs, in a game, this is very minor.
