This mission, “In Absence of the Ealdorman” is still bug, I have the item (Brooch) from the Fathers dead body but after that cannot do/progress any further in this story arc, MANY people on ALL platforms are having the same issue.

Just ran into this bug, thought I would see if anyone else is having the same issue and yep... seems so ugh
On all platforms too ... this is EXTREMELY frustrating

Started the Mystery Event, decided to defend Bron and kill the owner of the house, cannot talk to Bron after to complete the Event

I have the same issue, I defended Bron so I killed the Home Owner. (Farmer)

After killing the Home owner, I could not talk to Bron to complete the event.

Last two patches haven’t fixed this event, but now the Home Owner is alive just standing near Bron, can’t do anything with them.

As you can see the door is open

Started the event, chose to defend Bron,
Bron and Farmer just stand there, they do not fight, I cannot do anything either

the Opal Rock inside the house, I picked it up and opal icon is still on my world map

So the Fish are still despawning on the map so still not fixed...ugh
I need a few large Fish that don’t seem to be anywhere on the map to finish off the Fish Deliveries but I cannot and I’m
not the only one having this issue.

Bottom right Glowcestiscire mystery event on the map is still bugged for me, last 3 patches have not fixed it, I did 90% of this event, defended the farmer but killing the person who I helped break into the house with, after killing him I could not talk to the NPC to complete the mission,
since the very first patch the guy I killed is now alive just standing next to the farmer I defended and still can’t do anything, I need to complete this to get the last achievement for the game ugh

I happened to pick up the Brooch whilst exploring before doing the story mission, I generally find all wealth/artifacts and mysterious in a area then I’ll progress with the story so in doing so I accidentally picked up the Brooch which is story related but at the time I didn’t know.

When I did the story and got upto the part where I need to pick it up to show his son that his father is dead, that is when the quest objective bugged and couldn’t progress.

I did however load another save file, 4 hours back, in which I lost all weath/artifacts and mysterious for Licolnscire but I didn’t have the Brooch in my inventory

Did the story first and worked fine, just now I have to repeat all the artifacts/weath and mysteries

The problem is people are picking up the Brooch before the quest, resulting in that when you get to the quest and you need to pick up the Brooch, because it isn’t there, it’s already in your inventory, it bugs out.
