@ubi-woofer I can appreciate that the devs are working on the problem. I can appreciate it each and every single day that I haven't been able to play for the past two weeks. I can appreciate it for each and every day that I can't play until they put a new patch out that fixes the game I paid $100 to NOT be able to play because of a bug.
I'm figuring at this point that it's going to be another two weeks until they finally fix it. There's no release info on it, a few days before 1.04 dropped there was pre release info on it, which tells me the patch isn't coming in the next couple days. Which means it won't drop before the weekend, which means it's not likely to drop before midweek next week, which seems unlikely as well.
So..... now we're looking at over 3 weeks of not being able to play a game I paid $100 for, and your company's policy seems to be "tough luck", "we'll fix it when we get around to it". To make it up to me, ubisoft is willing to do absolutely nothing. I mean why would they compensate me in any way for selling me a broken product, it's not like I expected to be able to play a game that I bought from them.
I guess as a consumer I should expect that what you really get when you buy an ubisoft game is the "wait for the patch to come out so you can actually play the game you thought you were buying" game.
If this was any other industry, any other product, the manufacturer would go out of their way to make this up to the consumers who were affected. Ubisoft on the other hand seems to think that it doesn't matter if they screw over their customers, or how upset they are.
This is a continued problem with Ubisoft. Constantly putting out games with horrible flaws and game breaking bugs. This is the last ubisoft game I buy. I'm sick of giving my money to companies that care so much about their customers that they screw them over and over again.
There are ways to prevent games from being released with game breaking bugs, things that ubisoft, and most large developers DO NOT DO, such as testing. closed, internal testing DOES NOT WEED OUT THE PROBLEMS, this is abundantly clear.
I'm beyond [censored] off and tired of this garbage.
Name one... ONE industry where this kind of behavior is acceptable? You can't. I'm a Chef, the equivalent of this would be sending out raw, inedible food. You could eat all the sides, but the main course would be untouchable. Raw chicken parm, the breading looks nice, everything looks delicious, but the minute you cut into it, it's raw, and completely ruined. Or a car maker that builds a car, ships it with a full tank of gas, everything works fine until you go to fill the tank up again and find that there's no where to put more gas in. The only industry where it's completely acceptable to put out a broken product, that's loaded with bugs, is the video game industry. This is the prime example of that.
So just so I'm clear.
I haven't been able to play the game I bought from you for a week and a half now. I spent over $100 on it. There is no fix for the problem I have since it's a bug in the game that the dev team needs to fix.
And you're saying that it just sucks to be me, that there's nothing at all that the dev team, or ubisoft will do to make this up to me?
That sounds like an absolutely outstanding customer support policy.
Does ubisoft do that for all the customers they screw over?
Just an excerpt from my customer support ticker.
The one good thing about this is that Cyberpunk comes out on the 10th, so I'll have a game I can actually play, since I doubt I'll be able to play this game anytime soon. It seems like they're so determined to fix this that they haven't done anything about it for weeks.
@aks_l0n3w0lf So when you go to a restaurant and order food, and you don't get what you ordered, you don't say anything? When you buy a new car and it shows up painted the wrong color, you don't say anything? I'm sorry but this "it's just a bug, why are you complaining" is such a pathetic cop out. It's nothing but another fan boy jumping to defend a company that they somehow think they should be loyal to.
I bought the most expensive digital edition I could, and I was rewarded for it, but getting a game with a game breaking bug, which hasn't been fixed in weeks. Not days, WEEKS now. Which means I haven't been able to play in WEEKS. There's no timeframe for the fix, there's no compensation offered, NOTHING. The only thing that's stopping me from demanding a refund from Sony is that it's just too much of a hassle. It's a lot easier to simply not buy anymore games from Ubisoft.
As customers we need to stop accepting this. Remember back in the day when there was no such thing as patching bugs? Games had to come out that didn't have game breaking issues, they had to fix them before the game was released. They somehow managed to make it happen back then, what's changed between then and now? They've discovered that they can screw over the customers by shipping out a game that has numerous bugs, and just patch it as they go.
@crimsiccomet If you think that was hate, or rude, you have no idea.
I'm [censored] off. I've been [censored] off for over a week. Maybe you smile, and ask for more when someone [censored] you off, but I'm not that guy. The fact that I'm not being flat out insulting at this point is miraculous. As for demands, yeah, you can call it a demand, I call it requesting compensation for SELLING ME A BROKEN PRODUCT! In any other industry if you sell someone a broken, or faulty product that prevents them from using what you sold them, you compensate them..... Why is this any different?
I didn't make this bug, I didn't break my game, I didn't take my money, and then not fulfill the implied agreement between manufacturer and consumer. I'm kind of getting tired of the fan boys jumping to the defense of the perpetrator here.
Put out a patch to fix me game already.
@leram_81 They'd politely leave, talking about how wonderful the first half of the movie was, how innovative and cutting edge it was of them to do something different, and not show the entire thing at once..... That's the kind of people THEY are.... meanwhile the rest of us consider it a scam.
If there's not something official by tomorrow, and a date for the fix, I'm going to be demanding Sony give me a refund. If I have problems with that, I'm going to contact lawyers. That's it, I've had enough. I urge others to take similar action. 4 weeks knowing a game breaking bug exists, not fixing it, and not announcing when a fix would be out it absolutely unacceptable. It is just that simple.
