I would love it if the smoke effects were toggable. I bought it from the store with helix credits. And to be honest i saw the smoke but i never realised how annoying it would be during cutscenes. Honestly I have no interest in like 90% of the gear sets in this game. Im supposed to be a viking, why would I want to run around in gold heavy armour.

Ive almost been tempted just to use the bayek because it has no sleeves. Whats the point in having options for tattoo's if all the armours in the game cover them up. All except for the beserker armour and the bottom half of that looks dumb too.

@xxnvgaryltixx check your settings. i had an issue on the gender selection screen where the cursor could move but pressing the button did nothing. Under "Interface" in your settings, there was an option for "alternate hold mode" or something. I turned that off and i was able to select a gender.

has anyone else had issues with quest NPCs etc. Half the time i cant even speak to them to start the quest, and the other half of the time they freeze up when we get to a location and im stuck with them just standing there. I'm currently stuck with the "prey in high hall" quest.

and its not the first time its happened. I had an issue in my settlement where i couldnt talk to anyone (tattoo shop, smith, Randvi, no one). It randomly fixed itself when i went away and did some missions elsewhere.


also this is just a side issue. But what the hell is the deal with having to carry all the gear you carry. I have axes and shields etc in my inventory i dont want at all. how on earth do you sell or dismantle them? is there a storage box somewhere i can dump all the gear i dont use?

ok update .. was able to get past the gender selection screen. There was an option under Interface for "alternate hold for menu" . turn that off and it let me choose the gender ok.

I had the white loading screen bug after the first cutscene but i Hard closed my game, changed my setting to fullscreen instead of borderless and turned V-sync on with adaptive. I managed to get past the loading screen into some gameplay as the child Eivor. But when you reach the moment after it to select Male or Female route. the game breaks. i can move my cursor around hover over each gender choice but it doesnt actually let me select anything. Both Mouse and controller just do nothing.
