Okay, so before quitting the game I did the quest where Ubba came to Raventhorpe to give me a reward for letting his brother, llavr or whatever, go to Valhalla, I believe the quest was called “Get what you sow,” something like that. Before I quiet I put on the hood one last time and all of a sudden my original cloak came back... let me reiterate the steps I took:

1) Beat Glowecestrescire arc (Note I did the Eurvicscire quest first, I assume you have to do both before the Ubba quest can occur as I mentioned above, but that really shouldn’t be an issue, I’m simply trying to recape all steps that occurred).

2) came home to Raventhorpe.

3) upgrade the last bit of stuff in my village and got village maxed (should not matter).

4) I did the steps suggested by @smurf4ever which was to hide cloak and unequipped it. That did not work so I went to step 5.

5) I tried going to Vinland, it does not appear in Vinland but once I got back to England the cloak was still with me.

6) I turned off the PS4 and continued the game of which the cloak was still with me. Note that my cloak is no longer hidden nor unequipped from step 4. Another Note, I was using the Raven cloak.

7) I tried going to an old save, it was a cloud save and it only took me back to the end of the Glowecestrescire arc, so I just reloaded my point before I attempted this step, I still had the dang cloak. This is where I gave up and decided to do the Ubba quest real quick.

Did the Ubba quest, all he did was talk to me and give me a reward.

9) I also talked to Sigurd where he says he wants to go talk to his father in Norway.

10) This is when I was about to quit. Before quitting I put on my hoodie, suddenly the god awful cloak glitched out and my original raven cloak appeared.

So yeah, try all that.

Either way, I will not be buying Ubisoft games again, at least not until maybe a year after they have been released. Also, If I do buy them then it’ll be only for the PC, there are typically more options on fixing bugs when it comes to a PC rather than a system.

Did not work for me... I also tried going to Vinland and the cloak and mask do not follow there; however, as I traveled back to England, well the cloak and mask haunts me still. I’m done playing the game, even if UbiShiz patches it I’m still not coming back to it. They have riddled their games with bugs not just this one, I will never buy a Ubisoft game again.

Important note:

I restarted the game and I successfully got the man’s best friend ability lvl 1 from the quest a little problem of which the issue was to make sure the wolf is present all the way to the village. I have noticed that the quest still does not show up as completed in the completed quests folder. I figured that was important to note.

Side note, the ability sucks. I understand that the wolf apparently does not follow you like a companion, I wish it did; in fact, it would be awesome if it would ride in the long boat with us. As it stands with lvl one of the ability, the wolf is supposed to show up and attack a specific target by aiming at them and then calling him using the ability wheel.

So far it is extremely buggy. Majority of the time the wolf will show up and then immediately run away without attacking the designated foe. I get that the lvl two is where the wolf will stick around and fight for a bit, so hopefully that will be nice. But as of yet, totally worthless and a waste of an adrenaline bar.

It would be nice if as you fix this bug, make it where the ability at lvl two will allow the wolf to actually be your companion. Perhaps ride in the long boat and join in on raids that way. That would be nice.

Never mind, does not matter for me anymore because for some damn reason, all my saved data became corrupt. I uploaded the 1.04 update and I try to continue my game but it keeps giving me an error, hoor-[censored]-ray!!!!!!!!!!!

I can not believe this BS. I was looking forward to the wolf companion but of course there is a darn Bug! I completed that mission days ago and now I do not have a save point that far back. I completed that damn mission and never got the skill. I too noticed that as I was escorting the kids back to the village that the wolf disappeared. I thought nothing of it. I now see the wolf in the village so I thought eventually he would be my companion, this is absolutely infuriating!

I notice that the quest does not show up in the completed quests folder, thus will Ubisoft be able to put in an update to allow us to redo that quest if it is not showing up in the completed quest folder? And for those that gained the skill by getting the book, could you not use a Boolean function where if the skill is greater than zero or equal to 1 when redoing the quest, then simply increase the skill by one to make it lvl 2, it’s max level. That should give us all the opportunity to get our wolf companion or to get the skill maxed.

Now for the detail of my play through of that quest is as follows. I completed the first part of the quest for the seer, the Asgard part 1 venture. I then saw the kid in the village where the quest, a little problem, triggered. I got to the wolf and opened the door, did not strike the door. The wolf ran outside. The kids said it must have went home. I escorted the kids to the village where we were intercepted by three wolfs. I quickly killed all three where right after I killed them the good wolf showed up and the kids said “oh the wolf saved us.” I then named the wolf Dwulfg or whatever. I then proceeded to escort them all to the village and noticed that the wolf disappeared. I continued anyways. Once at the village the kids were there but no wolf. The quest completed but no skill. The wolf is at the village and my character acknowledges. So yeah, please fix ASAP, this ruins the game and I sure as hell am not restarting! I will take a break from the game in hopes that you will be able to fix this Ubisoft.
