I am just so happy this moment that UBI Soft never lured me into buying the game , not even with discounts.
I were a Beta participant and were not that pleased with that. But I wanted to try the Free Weekend play to see how far the game has progressed (or regressed as it may be) .
However , not even being able to play for free I am so happy that I did not pay and then not be able to play ! , just saying !
I know it's 'Christmas' , but I am not in the mood to have my game time spoiled by distracting and annoying snow-fall in-game ! !
Either please turn the damned thing off at once or at least make a setting in options that will allow people to once and for all turn off such 'seasonal' annoyances !
Thank you !
P.S.
Never mind !
I were annoyed because despite trying to restart the game the damned snow kept falling and wouldn't go away,
but ! , apparently all I needed to do were to switch to New World for a little while and then go back and then the snow were gone !
So as annoying as is then not a major problem because one can make it go away once one knows how !
At check out I have for last two days had a text that says :
"GET AN EXTRA 20% OFF YOUR CART WITH CODE TGIBF!" and a "Terms and conditions apply" .
1) Then the ""Terms and conditions apply"" leads to this page : https://store.ubi.com/legal-mention/ where there is absolutely no mention of the "GET AN EXTRA 20% OFF YOUR CART WITH CODE TGIBF!"
2) Then if trying to use code then I get a *Promo code is not valid" .
3) Then on contacting support I get treated like I am some idiot that do not know how to use neither my computer , my browser , any of the UBISoft store pages nor the discount code !
Utterly completely useless garbage support that at no point treated me like I had any understanding of anything other than at very last when I had become very seriously annoyed then finished with the suggestion 'Try using the code again tomorrow" !
(P.S. : Of course it is completely fair if a supporter does not know anything about a specific subject. But if so then I think that they should just say so and then check up on it and eventually get back at a later point !)
So have anyone any clue as to what is going on and do anyone else have had any success using that code ?
We've got a news article here explaining a bit more about how the code works. It should stack with whatever other discounts are applied during the sale, as long as you are in a country where the Wallet service isn't available.
Hello Ubi.Thrupney ,
Thank you very much for the very informative answer , and as it turns out to be also the answer as to why the problem exists.
As you refer to yourself then it says on the page that you link to that :
"Customers in non-Wallet countries can still save big by using the code TGIBF at checkout to take 20% off the items in their cart, in addition to the Black Friday discounts already in place."
Only problem is that UBISoft also gives the same offer to people in 'Wallet countries' ALSO - e.g. where I live ! (Please look at screenshot here below)
Personally I think that I would prefer the 20% over the 'Wallet' offer as the wallet offer is one time I think and incur more spending to take advantage of and the 20% off can be applied more times and stacks with other offers which makes it the generally best UBISoft discount code as it allows for great savings on games already on offer !
(The "20% off the items in their cart" is the sales version of the "Get 20% of your next order" spending points , which IMO makes UBISoft a really great place to shop at sales since it stacks with other offers !!!)
Hey @Bright_One
I've not had any issues with Firefox myself so I don't think it's an issue just for that browser but glad you already found a workaround.
Thank you for the kind answer.
Despite you not having the issue yourself then maybe UBISoft ought to look into the problem,
I mean I do not presently have any log-in problems anywhere other than at ubi.com and e.g. store.ubi.com ,
also clearing those cookies didn't help...
One thing that I have noticed is that store.ubi.com does NOT automatically wants me to log in like it used to and it doesn't automatically trigger password access in FireFox , so appears if something on store.ubi.com changed there which might be a very good place to start !
P.S.
Might apparently also get sent 'security codes' but is not told so when trying to log in to store.ubi.com
@Bright_One Similar problem here, I´ve been trying to order a dlc but clicking the order button in the cart opens the login screen again & again but the login doesn´t seem to register. Meanwhile ubisoft connect doesn´t even load the store or my wishlist
Yes !, I think that it is rather stressful that UbiSoft appear to have such a poor grip on browsers and internet , especially since "logging in" becomes almost crucial/required these days. But at least the present problem is not concerning logging in to play a game ! (A year or two back they had a problem that made people unable to play the Anno 1800 they had bought because UbiSoft had made a Free Trial-Play period).
As for the present problem then I have not been able to 'fix' the problem with FireFox but I have noticed that one of my 'alternative' browsers , my favorite alternative browser Vivaldi: (https://vivaldi.com) , log in just fine so you might want to try that to see if that can assist you periodically.. (FireFox is a main-stream browser and ought to be supported by ubi.com with no problem !)
Also ! let the alternative browser accept all cookies and so on , just in case it is a problem with poor support for cookie settings other than as ubi.com wants it !
P.S.
I actually also tried clearing cookies for ubi.com and ubisoft.com , but that didn't change anything at all. My browser however does only accept standard cookies that does not use Google Analytics...
I can log-in into www.ubi.com: (https://ubi.com) just fine and as you can see I can also log-in into discussions.ubisoft.com with no problems , but store.ubi.com doesn't log in !
When I go to store.ubi.com then there comes a pop-up with my user name and a "next" to click , but then after clicking "next" then browser does not log-in and neither does it give any error either !
My browser is a FireFox 109.0 (64-bit) on a Windows 10 - 64 bit OS !
I am aware that I can try another browser , clear cookies , whatever , nor really looking for that kind of advice !
What I am trying to do here is to communicate to UbiSoft that maybe UbiSoft rather than telling users to do this or that then maybe UbiSoft ought to take a look at this !
Thank you !
@S5yn3T
Thank you very much for the concise and precise answer , which I will take as the answer to that question !
Thank you !
Hmm , I just bought the The Crew Ultimate - Ultimate Edition .
So in client it says that I have all these DLCs , that I wanted , including "The Crew - Street Edition Pack".
Then , side by side with that then I am also offered to buy "The Crew- Street Edition Pack (DLC)" , which appear to be the only DLC that the shop does not think that I have. I even tried putting it into the cart as to buy it which the shop apparently thinks is a very good idea.
So does anybody know why the shop thinks that I do not have the "The Crew- Street Edition Pack (DLC)" ?
Is it just the shop that is dysfunctional or is it something else ?

@ubi-viral
Sorry , I do not know if I have caused any confusion. The exploding power plants only happened some time after they were moved and turned off. Not while actually moving the plants. So to record this . if I could , then I would have to locate a save where the power plants are there and then keep interface on power plants and then let time pass and not 'play the game' as such. I guess that I could try to do that but it do seem as a major bother for all parties involved for something that is most likely of no greater consequence to the game.
Only maybe if it happened generally to turned off buildings then it might be worth your while.
But thank you for caring !
@ubi-karl
P.S.
I did in fact mostly copy the whole original island layout from another island to start with instead of 'moving', but if the power plants that exploded were 'originals' (originally built one by one by menu) or copies of copies of copies I simply can not remember. I only tell this because I have no idea if that has any meaning in the internal game code.
By the way ! That ability to copy hundreds of buildings and streets from one island to another is one of my absolute favorite functions about the Anno 1800 game ! That's just such 'cool' functionality ! Thank you !
