Same for me. No issues with PC performance and all drivers up to date.
Game seems to be crashing the more I play - just raided my first English monastery and now crashing every 10-15 minutes.
I may wait for the next game and\or Nvidia update before wasting any more time with this.
After another Nvidia update, Ubisoft Connect and game updates the game still continues to crash but it now crashes gracefully with a 'Oops, i've crashed' message and the option of sending a crash report.
Quite simply the most unreliable game I've ever had the misfortune of playing.
OK, despite not wanting to I downgraded from the latest Nvidia driver (457.30) to the previous version (457.09) as some posts suggested that this fixed the crash issues.
The downgrade resulted in a different type of crash where Valhalla disappeared completely and took me straight back to the desktop.
The crash experienced with 457.30 takes the form of the screen freezing in-game with the sound continuing in the background. I have to kill the Valhalla process to stop the game and rerun.
So, it looks like it may an issue with the game and not Nvidia.
@eniora I've uninstalled Valhalla due to the constant crashes and will try again in a few months time. I've spent too many hours trying to fix the only game that's crashed so repeatedly on my PC so can't be arsed to waste any more time.

One of the factors I hadn't considered when trying to work out why AC Valhalla crashes is that I run a three monitor system.
So, as a test, I disabled the two monitors that aren't used for AC Valhalla in the Windows Device Manager and I've enjoyed a crash-free Valhalla experience ever since.
I've never experienced issues like this with a game before but it looks like there's an issue with multi-monitor setups. Is this Valhalla or Nvidia?
@bonzospb First crash after three decent length sessions using the process priority change. It's definitely more reliable but it's no solution.
@pragmatist187 Just tried this and initial findings are positive. Not one crash.
After getting nowhere with the constant crashes I removed every Nvidia driver from my Windows 10 installation - everything. The lot!
On restarting Windows the OS identified my RTX 2070 and installed Nvidia driver version 26.21.14.3200 dated 24/07/2019.
On starting Valhalla I received a warning from the Ubisoft launcher telling me that I'm running on an unsupported driver.
Valhalla hasn't crashed once since. It's as sweet as a nut!
So, over to you Ubisoft or to you, Nvidia. Who's to blame for this one?
Hi Ubisoft,
You should have received 7 crash reports from me over the last two days because Valhalla won't play for any longer than approx 15-30 minutes.
I also get this in the launcher logs which may be linked:

Please get this sorted.

@ubiskr Exactly the same for me.
@awolcz I'm not making any changes to my physical or virtual memory configurations in order to run a game. No software developer should expect the user to make changes at this level to ensure their product runs reliably.
After the latest Nvidia driver update I experience fewer crashes but they're far more serious in that either my system hangs completely and BSODs or is crippled to the point where I'm forced to manually reset.
Every other app and game works fine.
Well, that didn't last long - the new Nvidia drivers don't appear to be the solution.
The game hung again today with the same image freeze but with the sound continuing in the background. The big difference is that I was unable to access Task Manager to kill Valhalla - I got a BSOD and DPC_WATCHDOG_ERROR.
Back to the drawing board.
