I love this game so much that it has become the only game that I now play. That said, like all things there is always room for improvement. The one add on/enhancement that would really take this game to the next level for me is a map editor. Since we can't pace buildings on a diagonal axis it would be ideal to be able to straighten out a stretch of beach to accommodate harbor buildings for example. It would also be great to have the ability to flatten out small areas and remove those pesky rock outcroppings that prevent building placement all together. And I would love the ability to remove mineral fertilities from certain islands. I have some islands that I don't use for industry or agriculture and the little spinning icon is a real distraction, and they take up valuable space the could be used for buildings instead.
The topic title pretty much explains it all. The forester's hut and trade union are not showing up in the scenario. I have them in my regular game though, which leaves me completely perplexed as to what the issue may be. Am I missing something, do I need to "unlock" them by completing other steps? I'd appreciate any guidance on this possible, thanks!
@ubi-mercury , sounds like a good suggestion. I will give it a try and post results. Thanks again for the follow-up.

Hi, I went through the guide and made sure that there is enough RAM and drives are updated etc. None of the suggested procedures have corrected the issue. Any other suggestions?
@ubi-nacho
Thank you for the suggestions. I appreciate the guidance. I will take a look at the guide and see if there is anything there that will resolve this problem. As I said, I really don't think that the DLC is the issue. I'm sure it's a setting's issue on my side. I will post a response when and if the user guide provides a solution.
I'm hoping that someone here might be able to help me sort this problem out. The roads along the harbor area are now appearing in this odd grey color and as black at intersections. This is a fairly new issue that seems to have come up when I downloaded the new Pedestrian Zone DLC. (I'm not blaming the DLC, this is just when this issue started.) I'm sure its just a settings issue on my part. Sadly I just can't figure it out. I would appreciate any guidance that on this one! Thanks.
I truly love this game! It has become my hands down favorite and at present is the only game that I now play.
I have a few questions/suggestions.
I'd love to see an expansion of the New World building catalogue. It would be great if there were an additional tier of residential buildings that truly reflected all the wealth generated from the gold mines, oil wells, and agricultural fertilities. Why are we not able to build schools and universities, or churches for that matter, in the New World? Also, New World jewelers and power plants seem seem like obvious building choices as part of game progression but are sadly missing.
Since we have airship hangers in the Arctic regions why don't we have airship hangers and airstrips in the others? I'd love to have an air strip or hanger in Cape Trelawney. While we're at hit what about an airship pilot specialist to help with speed and loadings/unloading times for goods. Like may, I use airships to help transport goods between regions.
I'd also love to see the ability to build tunnels for railways through mountains. This is another odd omission for building options.
Included in the new Pedestrian Zone DLC there are items for an underground underpass. This got me thinking, why not have actual subway systems in game? The first underground systems were build in London in 1863, and then later in Paris, and then New York and Boston MA (which are in the New World by the way! LOL) So an additional build feature like and underground would really fit in with the overall scheme of the game.
I'd also love to have a simple map editor. Not to completely overhaul an island, just one that would allow us to make minor tweaks to an existing island. It would be wonderful to have the ability to straighten a stretch of shoreline or remove that one tiny pesky rock outcropping that prohibits a building from being placed. This would allow us to to fit harbor buildings and others more efficiently as well as in a more aesthetically pleasing fashion.
The final suggestion is a real pie in the sky ask, but it would be fantastic to be able build roads at an angle and also place buildings at angles. After a while cities take on a somewhat boring grid pattern that doesn't truly reflect how cities from this time period were build and grew.
@misiek_1991, great ideas! I'd also love to see these types of monuments in game, especially for the New World. It seems that the New World portion of the game is a sadly overlooked and under utilized part of the game. I'd love to see another tier added to housing, to reflect the wealth generated by the cash crops in the New World. I'm still at a loss why we can't build schools, universities, jewelers, and power plants despite the oil being among the major mineral fertilities in the New World.

Hi, evidently the game seems to work fine in Campaign mode as long as the revealed map option is not checked. If so, then the diplomatic features and other quest options do not work properly.
If the revealed map option is not checked, then the game works fine.
This issue only happens in the campaign mode. The Sandbox mode works fine either way.
However, there are still issues with areas along the shoreline that are unbuildable. This is true for all regions, and in either Campaign or Sandbox mode.
I am sure of this because I have started games using seedmaps that I kept record of, and played with no such issues, in order to test this out.
This is the third time I've posted about these issues. I really would appreciate a response.
The game does not function properly in campaign mode if the revealed map option is set to on. The pirate is not available in the diplomacy tab despite being selected during initial game set up. Additionally we are unable to respond to Edvard's demands for products like schnapps etc. despite the amount produced and available on the island.
Also there are voids on the shorelines of various islands most notably Crown Falls, that make it impossible to build a dock or other harbor buildings.
