Same here : I fished at least 40 regular FlatFish and 30 regular Mackerel in about 3 locations each, never found any big one, while in the same areas, I can find plenty on the other species big ones.
Trick I found : the longboat definitely plays a role in this, going on horse to the same location doesn't result in all fishes vanishing like fast travel does (though not solving the big fishes issue). Why did you not keep the AC Odyssey "Call the boat" instead of having it teleported with us?

Actually, it is after any visit to the Smith or fast travel. The Spartan Bow gets back to low quality, all materials are wasted.
As this cannot be used in this state, we should get a compensation or refund.

I guess you need to be killed by enemies/ beasts if this is similar than AC Origin (I haven't seen any in ACV), when you get the quest it targets 2-3 of them you have to kill to complete the quest.
So falling or being killed by some boss would not trigger it

@Ubi-Woofer, TheeElf answered the exact same thing I was thinking about : leaving the boat where it is unless players call it themselves, that way the spawning issue doesn't happen.

@Ubi-Viral I encounter the same issue after completing all quests of the new season, it can therefore not be our devices....
My honest opinion is that like every new season event, the game was not properly optimized, because it seems that people encounter crashes in Raventhorpe only after those new events being implemented... And each time a patch is out a few days after...

@Ubi-Borealis, sadly it isn't reproduced each time.
For instance I have seen one today (not worth it as it had no special skins nor level 3, but had to buy it to complete the challenge..), but last week it only appeared on early thursday (before the reset of challenges)...
I could record each time I don't see them, but not quite sure how this could help, SpirantCrayon22's picture shows the exact same absence of JV that I face.
What is annoying is not that it doesn't appear by itself, just that it is no longer allways in town like it used to be... forcing us to buy low value ones for the challenges.

I have checked every day since last thursday and not found any Jomsviking in Ravensthorpe nor other towns.
I have tried removing some I bought earlier, but it doesn't seem to change.
This happens since 1.2.0, where I had some days with and some without, but I see even less JV since last update...

It seems that one shot kills (without improved assassination required) triggers the detection while level 2 of blinding rush clearly states "Successfull assassination doesn't trigger detection"...

Same issue here since 1.2.0, my level 3 Jomsviking resets to default gear at game load.

Confirmed on my side also. One was stuck in my inventory, the other wasn't showing until previous update, but since 1.2.0 I was able to complete them both.
