For the past two months I've been experiencing an issue where my game loads into rainy weather regardless of what the weather was like when I saved the game. It is not game breaking but I am now pretty sick of it. It eventually stops raining but it always takes about a full in game day for it to stop. I tried waiting till it stops and then saving and loading back in but it again reverts back to rain. I've also played for several hours and still no matter what the weather is like when I save the game, it loads into rain.
I know this isn't the biggest of issues but after a couple of months it is starting to become hard to ignore. I checked on this forums to see if anyone else had the issue and there are a couple of threads but it doesn't seem like any of them get very far. Anyone got a solution?
@ubi-smash I have seen it affect the manual cloud saves but not the cloud autosave. In fact, my cloud autosaves have been the only way for me to access a proper save since the issue started. I have also made it a habit of deleting those corrupted saves right away to avoid one of them becoming the cloud autosave. Still, it is impossible to create a new cloud autosave because every new autosave corrupts. Now something tells me the issue isn't the save itself because I have loaded the same cloud save on my PS4, PS5, and my Series X; The PS4 and Series X load into the game and save fine but the PS5 version running on the same save gets the error right away.
As far as how many, it is constant. Every autosave or manual save gets corrupted right away. This means that as soon as my game loads up I get the error on account of the game autosaving as soon as it loads into the world. After that I get the error every couple of minutes because the game autosaves so often. As a result, my saves files can be filled with corrupted game saves in a manner of minutes. In about 15 or so minutes I can probably have 5 corrupted autosaves built or maybe more. I am not really sure how many autosaves can be stored at once but what ever the limit is, that is how many corrupted game saves. And again, even worse is the fact that the error message shows every time an autosave fails. This means that every couple of minutes that message interrupts the game and pretty much makes it unplayable.
It would be nice if this was at least included in the known issues list. The only saving grace is that this doesn't affect Ireland or anywhere else besides England so it probably won't affect Frankia.
@auridulis Thanks for sharing your video and thanks to everyone else in this thread as well for confirming that this is indeed an issue. When I first noticed it I thought I was crazy cause it wasn't on the known issues list but it seems this issue is far more common than I thought.
I have also recently started getting this error on my PS5 version. It started when the Mastery Challenge patch was released and hasn't stopped since. It seems to be even worse in SoP though because before I would be able to get one odd save in here or there but I am literally unable to get one new save in. Once in a while though the cloud auto save does it so I haven't lost much progress. Still, the constant prompt every couple of minutes makes SoP unplayable.
Interestingly, I have access to a Series X and a copy of the games since my brother also owns it and when I load my cloud save there it works 100%. It seems the issue must have something to do specifically with the PS5. I also tried saving on the Series X and bringing that save over to PS5 but I still get the error.
Question for those who suggest downloading the PS4 version of SoP: Are you guys suggesting to download just the PS4 version of the DLC or do you guys mean download the entire PS4 version of the game and play it there?
Hey, I recently got a Series X with Assassin's Creed Valhalla and I was wondering if I could still get achievements with that cloud save. You see, I have 170 hours and the platinum trophy on my PS5 and I would really like to continue the DLC on my Series X instead and get all the achievements there. Is this possible?
@ubi-mark Hey, I just wanted to follow up with you on this because I discovered that achievements do indeed transfer over from PS5 to Xbox. I started the DLC on my Series X like I said I would and after killing one enemy every achievement I earned from the PS5 version popped on the Series X.

@jmalkin177 Yeah I downloaded it and I can't go back lol. The PS4 version looks substantially worse and it runs much worse. Maybe I could deal with those but the load times are by far the biggest problem. It takes like 3-4 times as long to load into anywhere and even UI elements take a second to show themselves. I really took for granted how fast this SSD is... Anyway, I guess I will wait for this issue to be resolved to continue SoP. I got Hades to play tomorrow so I guess I'll just play that.

Is there any update on this? It doesn't seem like you moved forward with this.

@alx1231 Hey there, thanks for getting in touch and I apologise that you are having issues with the HDR features in the game. I've had a look at the forums and can see quite a few threads about this, so I'll get this up to the developers to see if anything can be done. They were made aware of some issues with the HDR settings in general, but we can get more specific.
To that end, could you provide a few comparison screenshots so I can submit these as part of the report?
It's really hard to share exactly what something looks like in HDR through pictures. The closest I could get are these two images and even then I don't think they do justice to how blurry the image looks in HDR. Still because you require it here goes: This: (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Ezl5Tf6XsAAkMU4?format=jpg&name=large) is the HDR image and this: (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Ezl5T9KXoAcnth4?format=jpg&name=large) is the SDR image. Again, I don't really think these are the best representations of my issue but I am not really sure how else to display it.
I searched the forum and it seems a lot of people brought up this issue at or around launch but none of the threads get very far. It is pretty clear that there is some sort of issue with the HDR that causes the image to appear washed out. Now, I've played most of the game with HDR turned off as a result but it would be nice if Ubi decided to actually fix the issue. All of their other games I've played on my PS5 have excellent HDR. Both Assassin's Creed Orgins and Odyssey really nail it but even non AC games have done an incredible job with HDR (Watch Dogs Legion and Immortals look great) so why is AC: Valhalla the only Ubi game that has this issue? I've read on reddit that it could be a glitch related to the way the game handles it's RGB settings but I am not familiar enough with that to really understand it. Is it possible that Ubisoft will fix it or is that just wishful thinking?
Any updates on this? It's been a while and I don't even see it on the known issues list. Like others have mentioned, I understand the issue isn't the most game breaking but it would be nice if it was acknowledged as an issue.
