Tried it on 2 different drives, SSD and HDD
Have verified the files twice.
Have ran both .exe files as administrator - NOTHING WORKS!!

@shieldrys Same here, actually qute annoyed with Ubisoft for another botched release.

@ubi-spud I was able to resolve the issue by reverting to the previous NVIDIA driver (457.09). The new "Game Ready" driver was causing my Spash Screen lockup.

How did you manage to do that?

@drdeath12-uk Its been weeks for me with this issue now and still no fix in sight

@luzi88alkor I get the same issue. Window with AC logo pops up, then disappears after about 5 seconds. Not much fun if you ask me.

I have been posting on a forum to try and get help and tried doing a support ticket to no avail as the option has been turned off.

Like many other gamers on here I have encountered the splash screen to crash error.
I have tried numerous work arounds to no joy. I am aware games come with bugs and have to be optimized. I just want to know who I can talk to and submit the specs of my machine dxdiag and msinfo32 files to so I can get some professional help ... (not a joke about my state of mind either lol)

I love the Assassins Creed games, the books, the characters, the lore. I have spent so many hours in AC Unity - I love the work you guys do, but Valhalla has left such a sour taste in my mouth I honestly doubt I'll preorder another Assassins Creed game again - not saying it as a threat, but as a passionate gamer who loves The Creed.

Not angry at you guys at all, I have no idea how much work goes into the game but I fully appreciate it.

Just disappointed that I cannot get this game to run.

Same boat my friend - its loads the ac valhalla logo and then immediately closes down

Ill try what @Luzi88Alkor did with the redistributable - tried everything else other than a reinstall of Windows. I can't even get it to stay open

Have reinstalled on C Drive - no luck.
No controllers are turned on or linked whilst trying to get the game running.
No crashing now, but when I boot it up it immediately closes itself down.
Have made exceptions in protection software for it - no luck

Anyone got anything, spent most of my day trying to get this to work.

I have the same problem. My drivers are up to date 457.30, I'm on direct x 12. I uninstalled the game and the launcher twice. But I only get to the first window on the desktop with the Assasins logo!!!

That is where I get to, then it closes down.

Tried the video that @Volter666 put up - but no joy
