@mattiedoe Couldn’t agree more. For exactly what reason do I want to know where I am right now?!
@unhappylawbro that's ONLY the sniper rifles, not assault rifles, SMGs, LMGs, and pistols. If you are complaining about the damage mechanics of sniper rifles, I am 100% with you. It seems that for sniper rifles, there is a severe punishment for damage if you hit anywhere outside the head box.
But PLEASE don't jump to hasty conclusions like all weapons are bullet spongy. I use mostly rifles, SMGs, and LMGs, and I'm telling you no common enemy shall survive for more that half a second. One-shot if you you hit them on the head. Provided you are using AP bullets.
And no, I am not from the Division games. Please don't label people like that.
@mortilla_ On a a more serious note, some of us need to relate game content to realistic experiences to truly immerse. A significant portion of female soldiers in an army, especially an underdeveoped one without futuristic technologies, really makes it hard to believe.
@sleezure The M14 you get at the very beginning, coupled with AP bullets, which you also unlock at the beginning, destroys the heaviest of enemy infantry within a couple of body shots. There’s your viability.
@sofajockey because some of us want to unlock late game weapons early on.
@unhappylawbro Just what the hell are you talking about?! My main complain for this game right now is that it's too easy! Right from the start,very few enemies can sustain more than 3 shots.
@unhappylawbro Some basic thoughts:
@unhappylawbro Seriously man, go back to FC 3 or 4 and do a test. Using basic weapons, you kill high level enemies such as those heavy machine gun dudes just as quickly as in FC 6. I still remeber emptying most of a mag of an SMG on a single enemy in FC3 at least. I’m sorry but I fail to understand what exactly you are hoping for here. A realistic shooter? When has this series EVER been realistic? FC has never been and will never be a mil-sim or anything similar. It will always be an archady wacky fantasy that aims at a certain portion of the market.
And most importantly, I do not agree with any remark that defines this direction as “ruining the series”. For me personally, I can enjoy Takov, Squad, and FC at the same time, almost equally.
@wild-recon Since FC3 this series has always had significant RPG elements in it. If you wanna argue that FC should not be an RPG, I just have to say too bad, FC will always be this way.
PS I play a lot of mil-sim games like Squad, so please don’t think that I only like fantasy games.
@florida2222 Once again, you guys keep saying that even with AP ammo, you need many shots to down an enemy.
First thing to be sure is that if you plan on taking a lot of body shots, DO NOT use SNIPER rifles, for there is severe damage penalty. For most other weapons, coupled with AP rounds, enemies die within half a second.
Secondly, make sure that you are not facing enemies of much higher level, such as 3+ level higer. This game is semi RPG, mechanisms such as this is justified.
Thirdly, I thought that there is a story mode? Haven’t tried it, dunno if you get enemies in that, but I suppose it’s just easy mode like you asked for?
@mortilla_ thought i recognized you! good old wildland times!
@mortilla_ BTW did you use to play GR Wildlands a lot?
@detroit_ninja I dunno about FC1 or 2, but ever since FC3, survival elements are only there to be there, and stealth is rather easy. FC has never been realistic since 3.
@carshop22 It would make little difference. I used to crouch when stealthily clearing an outpost during the first few hours, but now I just stand there and shoot whoever looks my way.
but Prone stance usually mean that the enemy perception is rather good, i.e. in PVP, or that you need the stance to control recoil, such as that of a machine gun. FC6 is neither.
@mortilla_ I never said I like those features. I hate resolver weapons and pets. I miss the gun for hire system and am much bigger a fan of Tarkov style gunsmithing or at least Ghost Recon level.
@p4tch666
1. Enemies don’t discover you quickly. If that happens, it’s because they’ve already entered searching mode. When things are normal, they’re still blind as a bat.
2.Headshots are already one-shot. Insisting on using non-AP ammo is a whole another story though.
@virtual-chris Yes the major difference is that you don’t have to maneuver tactically anymore, and shooting no longer requires fairly good aim.
It may be my misconception but FC6 has a ridiculous headshot aim assist or whatever it’s called. For rifles and machine guns, excluding sniper rifles, you headshot too easily. Using AP rounds, you can one-shot any enemy.
And the enemy reaction is too slow. There is a good second or two between when you appear in their line of sight at mid to close range and when they finally see you.
In conjunction, these two features allow you to just stand on relatively open ground and headshot who ever comes your way without triggering combat. Indeed too easy.
@sparhawk122 dude I’m totally against putting female soldiers in the game. @the wrong person maybe?
@sofajockey because some of us want to unlock late game weapons early on.
