Hello,
I'm expecting the issues to be addressed, because I like the game, yet it's unplayable since the recent Title Update 1.2.0.
- issue no. 1: I was usually launching Valhalla via the Valve client - due to the fact my Steam controller isn't recognised by the game if it's launched via Ubisoft Connect - but it's crashing to desktop. The crash reports were sent afterwards, obviously. Thus, I used the original game's client, and the game started normally. Yet, "Input Mode" is greyed-out and doesn't let me switch between "Hybrid" and "Controller", or "Keyboard and Mouse". I noticed, on the upper right corner of the overlay, the controller is detected, but in the "Options" menu there's no such thing. I tested similar titles (i.e. Odyssey, Origins, etc.), and the controller was working just fine, actually. So, my guess is, there's an application conflict between Steam and Ubisoft Connect.
- issue no. 2: I redeemed the Godly Reward for free - only to get Altair's outfit - and the Modraniht armor set, which I got at the Yule Festival and upgraded to Mythical (Gold), was, strangely, downgraded to Superior (Bronze). I spent hours grinding enough of scarce materials (leather, iron ore and titanium) and ingots (carbon, nickel and tungsten) only to redo it. Also, if i continue my progress, the Starter Pack I bought keeps resetting as new in Inventory, and the game randomly freezes in Ravensthorpe. I suppose the patch, although it fixed a few old glitches, it caused new ones too.
The game is really enjoyable storywise, but the problematic technical aspects and the controversial marketplace transactions provide a negative experience to the Assassin's Creed series fans.
Cheers,
Akis
