They have these civilians programmed to do nothing but whine, cry, run, panic, floogah (or whatever that one lady's voice keeps repeating), trip over each other, and just overall nonsensical shenanigans when you're calmly walking around the village(s). If they're continuously being allowed to upset the balance of a calm village, then we should be able to set the balance straight by sorting them all out via sword, axe, bow, etc., without consequence. That'll improve the balance.
I thought that the worst game for civilians overexaggerating your presence was "Ghost Recon: Breakpoint". Well, I was wrong, as this games civilians are far worse for their sniveling. For me, it's one of the most annoying features of the game.
I just reported the 6th such error, since the November 10th digital pre-order launch. Each error happens at random intervals. It even occurred as I was closing this game: press the PS button, then press the Options button, and then select "Close Application".
I have 1 game on disc, "The Division", and it has caused me far less frustration than virtually any other digital (PS4) Library games that I have access to.
I'm not exactly sure why companies seem to think that they have so much pressure on them to appease the fragile and hurried mindset of some gamers. As I've been gaming, since the mid-80s, it's become apparent that this "push" coincides with a "gotta have it now" consumer approach and mentality. Well, I, for one, am so freaking sick of the developers continuing this lacklustre and lackadaisical effort to lazily grasp the gamers with this practically broken "game". Yeah, it has its moments of decent and even funny scenarios, but when a program is being marred by an almost unknowing (to the consumer) game crashing bug, how does this continue to be acceptable?
It is now fixed, in the latest 1.0.4 update. Thank you, Ubisoft.
I've just reported the sixth CE-34878-0 error (PS4), since the November 10th digital pre-order launch. Fun.
I've had a total of three (3) CE errors, since the launch of this game, and two (2) of them occurred in the last 24 hours. Fun....
I'm now on number nine (9), as it's been reported, with the most recent one happening about 10 minutes ago after "redecorating" my longboat in Ravensthorpe. That's, so far, a total of 9 crashes in just over 134 hours of gameplay. Of all of the games that I've played, and as much as I was looking forward to this one (I'm a fan of Vikings, The Last Kingdom, etc.,) this is the most disappointing one of all....
I've just reported the 13th such game crash, with this one occurring in the "Press X" screen, as it was checking for the add-ons. Now that's performance.
After 28 - "CE-34878-0" errors, (the most in any game that I've ever played since I started gaming in the mid-80s) and with just over 200 hours of gameplay, I'm a "Viking Legend". Honestly, I only completed what was necessary to get the Platinum trophy, and even then I wasn't sure if the game would allow me to complete it. Yeah, it's that bugged to cause that much doubt.
And now, I'm at 25 "CE-34878-0 ERRORS". Ubugsoft, you've f*=ked this game beyond any enjoyment.
I'm now at 16 instances of the infamous "CE-34878-0 ERRORS", and all of them since November 22nd. At this point, I'm so thoroughly disgusted with this game, that I'm skipping through most of the dialogue and using Google/YouTube to get me through this game faster.
This game has so much potential, but even this veteran gamer can only take so much of this ridiculousness. Choppy/skipping sound, brief pauses during gameplay, unable to collect items or glitched situations, constant game crashes, etc. Garbage.

@forcefrank
Yeah, that's the other game that annoys me, too, but it pales in comparison to this travesty. I just reported the 13th game crash (it failed on loading the game on the "Press X" screen), and this game has only been out for roughly a month. Now that's performance.

Get rid of or calm down the nonsensical civilian sniveling! They act like complete idiots, despite you just calmly walking around and looking for chests, etc. Even just sitting on your "Mount", near the civilians, and they're in absolute panic mode, yelling, screaming, pointing, waving their arms, crying, etc. It's annoying enough to go all Wolverine-like on them, just to get de-synced.
