All these workarounds are just "placebo". You want to believe and sometimes the randomness of the error may give you hope.
I had my money on "flushDNS" for a few days, seemed to extend the time between crashes, but just last night a got 3 crashes in quick sequence just after I did that...
It's also weird what's happening at Massive's end... To me it's clear that the issue was introduced with the seasons, and this last one seems to be the worst. My memory might not be as good, but I think we didn't have crashes (or very, very rare ones) in between the seasons.
I guess the issue will be fixed when the season is over?!
@adrian-11 You're right. I don't remember any crashes between seasons either. I could play this game for hours on end with no issues before these re-runs! I also agree 100% with you on the placebo sentiment. I honestly can't wait for this season to be over, forever.
I'm confident Ubisoft will keep dragging their feet with this until the season is over, then revert to the previous build and act like they've just magically fixed the freezing issues. Until the next re-run that is, when it will start all over again, as it has done before and now.
@ubi-karl Seeing how this is exactly what happened the first time season 4 rolled around, i highly extremely doubt anything will be done, we had pretty much 0 bug fixes and just basic maintnance that re-added and later re-patched issues that happened in the same season all over again, please don't [censored] people

Just received an "update" for Connect, after which TD2 crashes like clockwork around 15 min mark... 5 in a row.

Hi. I've purchased TD2 about 2 months ago and really liked it. I've decided to go for the DLC because i wanted to get around to the end game. What a mistake did i make. Your game is broken as [censored] and it seems and I've wasted my money on purchasing the DLC.
The game crashes every 5 to 30 minutes and YES i've tried all your stupid workarounds and none of them work.
Sometimes you can play for a couple of hours but it will ALWAYS freeze and crash in the end.
Now you know this issue has been happening for a while and support formums are filled with posts about the issue and still you pretend that this only affects like a couple of players on PC.
This affects almost EVERYONE playing on PC. Any decent devolper would have fixed or at least acknowledged the issue by now.
I really enjoy the game, that's why im making this post. But the game is unplayable when it crashes.
So when will the game be fixed ? Can we actually get some updates on what's going on behind the scenes or can we just go screw ourselves ?

I think the problem is caused by memory leak. Not your RAM but VRAM. I have been crashing a lot since last update and I've been monitoring both my RAM and VRAM usage during the play.
My spec is:
Ryzen 5 3600
RX 6600 XT
16GB DDR 4 3200
RAM usage was hovering around 10.9 GB-ish for the whole time. But VRAM says otherwise. It started with around 6.5GB and slowly going up until around close to 8GB the game crashed.
I am not sure about other people but it will be nice if we could show our findings here. Cheers!
@chuck-bee Exact same problem.They are selling a product that is not fit for purpose.Any other manufacturer would be taken to court.

A person plays for 2-3 months and out of nowhere the game cuts and falls to the surface. No other game has such problems on my PC as your mess in that game !!!

Ubisoft merged or deleted it. Either way they're being unreasonable and simply trying to sweep it all under the carpet until the next update drops, when the bug will mysteriously vanish again, that is until they do another re-run or global event with that same build code (or whatever it is they're always managing to copy over)!
I'm the only one left out of my entire friends list that even tries playing this game any more lol .. They won't even join me on other Ubisoft games, it's that bad right now!
Ubisoft don't care, it's that simple. Their attitude towards the community complaining about this issue is diabolical.

This happens to me every single day, sometimes every 5-15 minutes, other times after an hour or two.
I've seen this happen to Streamers on Twitch too, they have the exact same reaction as you do. It's turning into a meme!

They are merging all the complaints to minimise exposure. I wouldn't be so infuriated if they were giving us feedback on the troubleshooting and or upcoming fixes, but they just keep brushing everything under the carpet (the carpet being that one thread where these complaints go to die).. lol
